So far the Orange County public employee unions have spend over a million dollars in this year’s 4th District Supervisor’s election.
Doing what? Calling Shawn Nelson a pedophile supporter; claiming what a virtuous and honorable man Harry Sidhu is. A million bucks.
Lest anybody thinks these goons are going to give up their death grip on the taxpayers without a struggle had better think again. A million times.
Forget issues. They only care about their own selfish interests and Heaven forfend anybody suggests that a County paper shuffler shouldn’t be able to retire at 55 and enjoy most of his pay for rest of his life. Naturally these people are going to do everything they can to distract attention from the main issue of this campaign: unfunded liabilities on the taxpayers caused by public employee union greed and spineless politicians.
And so Hide and Seek Sidhu, carpetbagger and perjurer, the man who doesn’t even know what a defined benefit is suddenly a paragon of virtue; Nelson is an unspeakable monster.
There you have it. Fear and Loathing, and enough to go around.

Yesterday a complaint was filed with the District Attorney, Tony Rackaukas, against Harry Sidhu for falsifying public documents when he created a fake residence where he never lived in order to run for 4th District County Supervisor.
How do I know a complaint was filed? Because I’m the one who filed it.
First, take a look at my letter to Mr. Rackaukas.
Now that’s some serious stuff, right? Here are some of my supporting documents.
At the end of December Harry Sidhu re-registered to vote at 2230 West Lincoln Avenue, #106, aka the Calabria Apartments.
Here’s the re-registration form from the end of December, 2009.
One month later Sidhu re-registered yet again, this time to a place called Lucky Way. He cited the Calabria Apartments as his previous dwelling.
The only problem is that Sidhu never lived at the Calabria Apartments. Our investigation revealed that nobody, including the apartment manager and neighbors ever saw Sidhu there; no furniture was ever moved in; that the unit in question appears to have been vacant for a long time; that no leases or receipts exist to document Sidhu’s alleged tenancy.
It’s crystal clear. Harry Sidhu concocted a phony address in order to run for office in the 4th District and he never lived there. That was an outright lie. And he lied again when he changed his registration a second time citing 2230 West Lincoln as his previous address. This is blatant voter fraud and a knowing falsification of public documents.
I have no doubt that some in the political community will want to brush aside this sad, inconvenient truth as inconsequential. Sidhu will no doubt play the victim card like all politicians do when they get caught in a trap created by their own overarching ambition and arrogance.
Was a crime committed? Well, that’s for the DA to decide, or perhaps to lateral the issue to the State Attorney General. You can be sure we’ll keep you informed.
Today the Republican Party of Orange County trained it’s sights on the incompetent illiterate campaign of Hide-n-Seek Sidhu just like we have been telling you all along. And here’s the piece:
That is the question of the day. We have previously reported here that Tom Daly likes to give jobs to relatives or friends of campaign donors. But this hiring takes the “Manager of the Year” to a whole different level. According to department insiders, Tom Daly hired the wife of a City of Anaheim employee who also happens to be a personal friend of Tom’s.
Even during these tough times at the County, Daly has been budgeting at least $200,000 per year for extra-help hires. Despite revenues and workloads being at their lowest levels ever, Daly feels it is more important to keep his friends employed than to protect the interests of the public. Extra-help employees are basically at-will employees and can be let go at anytime.
Not surprisingly, Daly hired his friend’s wife under this category which means no competitive recruitment was held to bring her on board.
Clerk-Recorder employees tell me they are upset because this person speaks very little English. Due to her lack of English skills, this person is given very menial work but is getting paid the same as others who do much more. Word has it this person doesn’t seem to posses any qualifications or skills or even a verifiable high school diploma, the minimum educational threshold for the county, but was even given a raise over all the other extra-help employees in the department. How does this happen? Loophole-finding Tommy boy allows the assignment to expire and then re-hires the person at a higher position thus earning higher wages.
Other extra-help employees have been told by department HR that per County policy they were not entitled to raises.
Even more disturbing is that Assistant Clerk-Recorder Renee Ramirez approached several staff when this person was being hired and asked them “do you know how to hire an illegal alien?”
Is this a liability for the County? Is Tom Daly opening himself to a lawsuit where the taxpayers will have to foot the bill?
This clearly demonstrates that Tom Daly feels he can do no wrong and that no one will hold him accountable. Let’s show this CAREER POLITICIAN that we are watching him and that we will vote him out of office sooner than he thinks.
I first became dimly aware of Fullerton politics back in 1993 when I saw a performance of then councilwoman Julie Sa. Sa was incapable of communicating in English, understood nothing, and was completely at the mercy of the City Manager, Jim Armstrong. The worst part of her reign of error was the evident truth that she was just using the office to promote herself.
In 2000 she was busted for not living in Fullerton and she gave up on running for third time. Fullerton had set the bar so low that any idiot with money could get over it. But at least Sa was gone.
So why am I bringing up Sa now? Because those folks who remember Sa have a useful frame of reference to assess the potential of one Harry Sidhu, who wants to be our Supervisor.
Like Sa, Sidhu doesn’t live in the jurisdiction he wants to represent. Sidhu cannot communicate his thoughts to his would-be constituents in English. Although I presume he can read English better than he can speak it, his grasp of simple grammar doesn’t portend a great understanding of the language. His well-documented manglings of simple statements has been nothing less than embarrassing – not for him, he doesn’t seem to possess the faculty of shame – but for those of us who have been subjected to it. His public admission that he didn’t know the impact of defined benefits was pitiful; his statement that he wasn’t taking union money was the closest thing to a million dollar lie that you will ever witness.
Sidhu’s self-interested supporters just love to accuse his critics of racism; nuh uh. Like Sa, Sidhu is an immigrant who made some money in the fast food business – more power to ’em (although Sa went bankrupt). But this economic success in no way qualifies Sidhu to run for elective office, and it certainly doesn’t make him immune from honest assessment of his abilities – or lack of same.
In 1992 the unknown Julie Sa ran for Fullerton council by sending out a bunch of slick, well designed mailings that masked the fact that she was utterly unqualified for any public office; and her subsequent performance proved this assessment true. In 2010 Harry Sidhu is running a vicious and hollow campaign lubricated with a million dollars of union money to in an office that he is patently unfit to hold.
Let’s not make that mistake again.

WHAT TO BRING: American Flags, posters expressing your thoughts about the recent hatchet job against Bill Hunt in the MSM, Bill Hunt signs.
BACKGROUND: Inside operatives of both the Craig Hunter and Sandra Hutchens campaigns for Sheriff have appeared to join forces in an attempt to falsely discredit Bill Hunt. Hunt was hired as a Private Investigator by a defense attorney on behalf of a client who was arrested as an alleged gang member and accused of committing a crime (P.I.’s are routinely hired by attorneys on both sides of a case to help support or refute the known facts in a legal matter or to bring new facts to light). Hunt conducted a thorough, objective investigation of the circumstances surrounding the arrest based on his two-decades plus, experience in all facets of evidence gathering, apprehension, arrest and prosecution of an alleged criminal. The findings of Hunt’s report concluded the wrong man had been arrested and both the DA’s Office and SAPD leadership were complacent in their zeal to prosecute the case anyway.
If it wasn’t for the fact Bill Hunt is a Candidate for Sheriff this would be a non-issue. However, D.A. Spokeswoman, Susan Schroeder (a staunch Hunter supporter), and SAPD Chief, Paul Walters (a staunch Hutchens supporter), in an attempt to silence and discredit Bill Hunt, employed their contacts in the media – specifically Dave Lopez of Channel 2/9 and the Orange County Register, to “expose” Bill Hunt as supporting gang members and to express “outrage” over this falsehood. Throwing all objective reporting codes of conduct aside, both Lopez of Channel 2/9 and Tony Savedra of the Register gladly acquiesced to the smear campaign, reporting whatever “facts” had been scripted for them by political insiders associated with both of Bill Hunt’s opponents. This resulted in lies and distortions of Hunt’s objective, ethical conduct as a Private Investigator to be presented to the voting public a mere two weeks before the June 8th Election. This is nothing more than Election Engineering at its worst and a prime example of why we need at a minimum, a wholesale eviction and/or rejection of Establishment Incumbents or Candidates in Orange County .
Please join fellow outraged Citizens who can take time off from lunch to draw attention to this matter and seek redress for the unethical and possible illegal conduct of political insiders in high positions of authority within the law enforcement community of Orange County .
The Constitution matters! Our Bill of Rights matter! Bill Hunt was simply standing up as a principled man and placed the Rule of Law over the “Code of Silence” as he helped an accused man exercise the Fifth Amendment Right to due process and our Sixth Amendment Right to a defense when charged with a crime.
God help us if this kind of conduct is allowed to be reported as a negative attribute of a Candidate running for the highest law enforcement office in the county – the Office of Sheriff.

There are three (3) items on tonight’s City Council agenda. They are: 1) the minutes from May 11 & 18 meetings; 2) November 2 call for municipal elections; and 3) the FY2010-2011 budget.
At first, I was relieved and thought I might be able to escape an exhaustive post. However, upon closer inspection I concluded that we must examine items 2 and 3 a bit closer.
Calling all candidates! Item 2, municipal election, includes language that supports putting term limits on the ballot for Fullerton voters to decide in November. The proposed text reads: “Shall an ordinance be adopted to enact term limits upon members of the Fullerton City Council, preventing any person who serves three (3) successive terms from serving again until an intervening period of four (4) years has elapsed?” Do we need term limits?
The rest of item 2 appears to be standard municipal election language. So who is running? We’ll have to wait and see. The normal deadline for candidates to file is August 6th and will cost you $1,267.00 if you want to have a candidate statement placed on the ballot. That fee alone squashes the hopes and dreams of many would-be candidates.
Moving forward to the expensive part of the agenda, item 3, we are presented with the proposed budget for fiscal year 2010-2011. I think a CPA or someone who likes playing with numbers will like details in the budget. There is some immaterial misinformation in the report signed by Julia James, but in James’ words the gist is this:
“The proposed revised budget for the 2010-11 fiscal year totals $184.4 million for the City and $54.1 million for the Redevelopment Agency, for a total proposed revised appropriations for all funds of $238.5 million. This total includes $58.5 million in capital projects in progress to be carried over. The General Operating Funds budget is not balanced, with a deficit of $3.2 million.”
So what will council cut to balance the budget? My guess is that Ol’ Doc Hee Haw and Bunkhead will vote to raise fees. Keller, not looking for re-election will go ahead with it. Quirk-Silva and Nelson will vote not to raise fees. Based on another post on FFFF, perhaps the city should stop subsidizing and start charging the Muckenthaler Cultural Center Foundation for their exclusive use of the property for weddings and private events.
Friends, there is so much right with Fullerton that these issues sometimes don’t get the attention they deserve. We are all able to live in our pleasant north OC bubble without regard for our civic duty. Unfortunately, if we keep letting the same few who got us into our current mess continue digging their bottomless money pits, things will never improve. And if you think things are going good now, imagine how good they could be if we each do our part to hold our elected official accountable. You can start doing your part June 8 at the polls and again November 2.
We were looking through Clerk-Recorder Tom Daly’s campaign expenditures and stumbled upon a very interesting expenditure or shall we say “more monkey business”. In his statements, Tom listed a $275.37 payment to current Clerk-Recorder employee Rosa Chavez for “refreshments for 80 staff” since he knows they hate both him and his minion Assistant Clerk-Recorder Rene Ramirez.
This payment is very suspicious and it appears that Daly is working his staff for votes. Why would he pay an employee out of his campaign funds for something that was done at his work place? As we all know, campaign activity is to be kept out of your county work place especially if you are the elected official. Someone call Shirley!
The more interesting thing is that since this payment was made to Rosa Chavez, she has been promoted to a supervisory position. Is Tom Daly rewarding Rosa Chavez so she can rally the troops to vote for him? This is a total conflict and disregard for all the rules.
Or perhaps this is a desperate attempt by “Manager of the Year” Tom Daly to win over his staff who is praying that he gets voted out due to his lack of leadership and commitment to the department. After seven years of neglecting his staff and hiring his friends, Tom Daly is now realizing that he has dropped the ball. Like your typical career politician on election year, he is now trying hard to win over a staff that has little respect for him and his assistant Renee Ramirez. Has he acted late? I guess he will know the answer this June 8th.
