  1. Why does being honest cost? This should be celebrated that truth was found out! Found this in your blog https://www.fullertonsfuture.org/2019/fullerton-police-cut-a-deal-to-bypass-the-law/

How in The name of justice do employers get to erase records, change them and then reward with a fully paid pension? Were other lives hurt with Hamels actions?
It looks like many could have exited with this strategy. Chief, captain and how many others are we paying a pension to that have been “asked” to leave because of possible illegal actions? Something HAS to change. Huge loophole and this is wrong!
And from what I read they are now goin after the messenger- unbelievable

      1. here goes; While the City has not released a list of officers for whom it intends to release SB 1421 records, Petitioner is informed and believes and on that basis alleges that the City has engaged in negotiations with certain officers to amend past disciplinary notices to remove SB 1421 eligible allegations, thereby circumventing transparency requirements. Petitioner is informed and believes and on that basis the City and former Fullerton police officer Kathryn Hamel entered into an agreement after the City issued a Notice of Intent to Discipline Hamel for various allegations relating to “dishonesty, deceit, untruthfulness, false or misleading statements” and/or “ethics or maliciousness.” Petitioner is informed and believes and on that basis alleges that a true and accurate copy of the Draft Settlement Agreement is attached as Exhibit E. In that agreement, the City agreed to revise the Notice of Intent to Discipline to remove those allegations if Hamel resigned, to not release the file pursuant to SB 1421, and agreed to defend against any SB 1421 request in court.

  2. Just watched the episode and there’s absolutely no doubt the city is covering up Hamel’s shameless wrongdoings.

KCET is going to have a field day with Fullerton.

Why is Fullerton so damn corrupt, or is it like this in every city?

Keep up the great work, Josh!

    1. “Why is Fullerton so damn corrupt…”

Fullerton joins fundamental ineptitude with it’s Culture of Corruption.

    2. Just how many have been let go with deals like this? Wonder if Chief Hamel is givin good advice to his soon be X

    1. Heard from a reliable source that Jones and Mayer have convinced the imbecile city council to sue everyone who watched this KCET episode too. They stole the truth!

  3. It’s a dirty job, but someone’s gotta do it…
“I can no longer even pretend to fulfill all the oaths I swore when I became a councilperson,” said Fitzgerald. “All the developer shakedowns, all the lies, all the influence peddling – I just can’t keep track of it all anymore. Balanced budgets, commitment to roads, honest cops – people want so much and I am so tired. I’m going to spend time with my family,” she stuttered weepily. “The evil has been backing up so much I feel I may burst.”

  4. This is so corrupt! Lies, promoting cops over false arrested people and now the city is stuck payin off bad cops with a big fat retirement. Can pensions get revoked??? Anyway I got a good dose on KFI 2 times today over all this. Josh you are decent and should receive a pension- in-fact Hamel should giv it up once n for ALL.

  5. My relatives in OC work in LE, they have just forged real estate grant deeds and liquidated the estates of my grandparents go pay off their own tax liens and judgements against them. I tried to report it because my last living grandparent needed round the clock care, they moved my grandma to a disgusting sh*thole private home just far enough I could not drop in all the time to check on her. It cost them $1500 a month and they had VA paying all of it while they spent her money on themselves. living in she was often the only patient in the home so I worried if anyone is legally employed or has the appropriate licenses.
Right before her death I stopped and they had grandma in the back yard her frail body in a wheel chair with her legs propped up on a patio chair. they were bombing the home for bugs, I was attacked by mosquitos sitting with her and and it broke my heart she sacrificed everything for her family and this is where we dumped her.
My relatives should have been investigated for elder abuse, instead my concern was reported to my relatives and the incident number I was given is not in the police database. They have recently switched agencies and I wasn’t even contacted and that scares me more than everything else. I’ve had to speak to every investigator even when I didn’t want to.
