We Get Mail: Oooooh, A Threat!

Uh, oh! Some semi-literate chucklehead is not happy with FFFF! We received an e-mail from an under-educated police apologist who wishes that we would turn our attention from the Fullerton Police Department record of bogus traffic tickets, theft, drug-abuse, credit card fraud, kidnapping, kidnapping and sexual battery, kidnapping, abetting suicide in the city jail, and, of course, the Kelly Thomas homicide; and instead focus on “what the fullerton police does (sic) for you to keep you and your fellow fullerton citizens safe.”

Safe, huh? Safe from what? The greatest threat to our “fellow Fullerton citizens” these days seems to come from the FPD itself.

Anyway, enjoy the amusing version of “The Truth” as penned by some poor, high school drop-out:

Trying harder to think just isn't going to help!

Subject: The Truth.

Dear Whatever bastard is running this blog,
Whoever you are you have no idea what the fullerton police does for you to keep you and your fellow fullerton citizens safe. You and your and other sons of bitches have warped the Kelly Thomas “murder” into a wormhole of un-needed conflicts and issues. And then when i thought that you guys could not steep lower than that you verbally attack and threaten the officers and thier families, what nerve do you have. How would you like it if I threatened the safety and well-being of you and/or your family.

Just Remeber…….How Would You Like It?

Oh, yes we will “Remeber” the next time we and our and other sons of bitches “steep” even lower.

Sincerely,

One of the Bastards Running This Blog

    1. Yeah, un-needed conflicts and issues often warp the spacetime fabric of our universe, thereby creating a wormhole. STOP CREATING SPACETIME ANOMALIES FFFF YOU JERKS!!!!

  1. The spelling and grammar alone should tell you that this is not one of the great thinkers of our time. It’s always a good thing when people like this post their opinions for everyone to see, as it shows what kind of illiterate losers support police officers that think they’re above the law.

  2. Rubber rooms (with full pay) for teachers who molest their students and administrative leave (with full pay) for police officers who murder.

Why can’t we fire these people? What do they have in common?

  3. They’re taking the bait, keep’em talking.
The honking tickets were pretty low balls, but in the open air. Expect the retaliation to get dirty in the shadows, keep fresh batteries your cameras.

  4. Travel in groups – at least in pairs – never travel alone. Always have a video device on hand with batteries.

They will not give up without a fight and the only weapons in their arsenal are intimidation, violence and political cover from idiots like the Three Blind Chimps.

Watch your backs. This is no joke.

  5. Actually the trolls here have already spent a lot of time verbally threatening and attacking the brave people who run this blog – as well as their families. So that’s really an empty threat.

  6. If the police here in Fullerton make us feel safe, than why oh why are my children so frightened of the police, that we actually looked into getting a restraining order to keep them 100 yards away from our home here in Fullerton?

    1. Fullerton lover, I think that is a great idea so when someone breaks into your home, rapes the wife molests your children who will you call?? FFFF? Tony bushala, chris Thompson? I think it’s a great idea! save the police from having to deal with stupid ignorant people! Hey can you get the rest of your FFFF idiots to join you!

      1. @blowhole

“Fullerton lover, I think that is a great idea so when someone breaks into your home, rapes the wife molests your children who will you call?”

Won’t be anyone TO call if there is no crime. Once the FPD is restrained from coming within 100 yards of their house there won’t be anyone breaking in, raping the wife, molesting kids, etc. Doh!

      2. Be careful of this meriblow. Pretty much sums up whats spinning in the lil head of him/her. Could of stopped at “breaks in your home ” but had to add details of his/her break in. Some sick folks out there.

  7. An obvious cop licker. I have no idea what the FPD does to ensure safety? what? what? I know they beat innocent people to death and intimidate witnesses and confiscate cameras from citizens. and rape women in their patrol cars, unlawfully search cars and dump all these people’s car shit in the street then drive off when they dont find anything without replacing what they just tore up, so what is it these nazi’s do to ensure the safety of citizens?

  8. Hmmm…..a wormhole. This makes sense. I happen to know for a fact (saw it on youtube) that “one of the bastards running this blog” has a wormhole in his basement. The plot thickens.

    1. I have heard the use of this term also by one of the blog writers.
who was this letter to FFFF written by? Why is it a topic of discussion?

    1. I wonder if Emmanuel Martinez received any sort of settlement or contacted an attorney after being released. Also, look at Goodrich spouting that “mistakes are made sometimes” bs. Goodrich, it looks like mistakes are made quite often in Fullerton. Emmanuel Martinez & Veth Mam both detained and taken to trial for crimes they never committed. How many others are out there?

      1. –“I wonder if Emmanuel Martinez received any sort of settlement or contacted an attorney after being released.”–

It’s been 40 or 50 years since the Supreme Court last visited this issue, and when it did it determine that the US Constitution does not guarantee that only the guilty will be arrested and detained. If it did every suspect released and every defendant acquitted would have a cause of action.

That being said, if it can be shown specifically that a pattern exists of FPD officers arresting and detaining citizens without making a good faith effort to avoid disrupting the lives of innocent folks, then the Martinez case might be actionable.

        1. It seems this situation was a flagrant disregard of the truth. FPD checks the video to ensure their reports are correct when they kill Kelly Thomas, yet they don’t check their tapes to ensure the correct person was detained after a line-up. Then Emmanuel Martinez locked up for months until his attorney can prove this in court. Seems like the officers had an axe to grind. Great people over at the FPD.

        2. Except that they made no effort to get the right guy. Probably too lazy to even correct their original f-up.

Read the story. Audio existed that proved they got the wrong guy, and a modicum of effort or honesty would have fixed the problem. The incompetence (giving them the benefit of the doubt) was compounded by deliberate falsehood.

        3. A bit off topic but…

To cut down on wasted court time and money from frivolous law suits, some states have instituted a looser pays system in civil court that seems to work fairly well. How about the same deal for the criminal (or at least traffic) courts?

It sure would cut down on the bullshit of overcharging suspects to get them to plead out to lesser or reduced charges and just might restore some confidence and credibility to the criminal justice system.

Anyone who has been to traffic court in the last several years knows that this system is already in place for one side. In addition to your traffic fines they have found dozens of ways to charge you with civil penalties as well to cover their costs. Even if you have charges dismissed you are often still required to pay some type of dismissal fees. WTF! They want us to financially participate in our prosecution!

I’m sure cops would give out far fewer bullshit tickets if they knew that when they got beat in court they (or their department) would have to pay. Don’t know about you but I’m sick and tired of being treated like the states ATM machine.

Watch your backs. This is no joke.

They have proven they, the Fullerton Police Department Occupants, are NOT citizens of Fullerton or the USA…

What is the city budget for these monkeys?

and yes, GULP, protect yourselves from them with every atom of intelligence you possess.

    1. No #%#$%#$%. I’m thinking the “author” of this letter may be the offspring of and home-schooled by none other than our own Jaynbound/SAVE the Fullerton cops.

  10. seriously now, this blog is really getting to the cop lovers, i couldn’t sleep last night, so i kept monitoring the blog. and alot of the cop lovers are not sleeping well..they come on and post when no one is here to try to convince them how wrong they are..

the pressure is getting to them..

  11. Fullerton cops have my permission to quit anytime they like. I feel I would be safer traveling through Fulleron without them. I can get to a gun locked in my trunk faster than they can stop beating people to death, raping women and stealing Ipads…. and respond to a 911call… unless that call is from a place that gives them free beer and food.

  12. “Once a government is committed to silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all it’s citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.” – Harry S. Truman

“Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we’re being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I’m liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That’s what’s insane about it.” – John Lennon

“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.” – Desmond Tutu

  13. I translated this to Japanese then translated it back to English. It actually made the author seem marginally more literate.

“Dear asshole what is running this blog
Fullerton police what to do in order to protect the safety of your fellow citizens of Fullerton who you are and you believe. The other sons of bitches, and you and your wormhole Thomas Kelly unnecessary conflicts and problems, “the murder” has distorted. And I thought that when the guys threaten to attack the officers and their families could not verbally, what nerve do not have less than steep. I am happy for your family and / or threatened the safety and you, how I want it.

But please remember …. Do You Like them? “

  14. I Live in Fullerton :
The spelling and grammar alone should tell you that this is not one of the great thinkers of our time. It’s always a good thing when people like this post their opinions for everyone to see, as it shows what kind of illiterate losers support police officers that think they’re above the law.

Did you know that one of our literary greats was dislexic?

    1. Dear Shimon: Thanks for taking the time and space to post a comment in response to a less-than-trivial and simply embarrassing blog post. I assure you, it was time and space well spent.

        1. dear god! every time I reply to a post, it gets shifted to the right as if there is a break in the space time continuum or a ripple in the Earth’s gravitational pull.

  15. Thank you for my morning read, that was as rich as my fresh ground coffee.

I am going to STEEP out of line here and guess it has to be a child of an officer, there is no way an adult wrote that…….could they?

    1. The emailer didn’t mean step. Steep so low. Its a common phrase. Over 50k results for “steep so low” when you use quotes or 6+ million without.

      1. Proof that 50k people on the internet have the same GED-education as the common FPD officer. The phrase is “stoop so low” Steep is what you do to a teabag or to make wort of you are a home brewer.

          1. I’m not so stunned. The funny (or sad) thing to me isn’t that some people are truly THAT ignorant — it’s that they DON’T KNOW how ignorant they are (and apparently many of them are employed in official roles within the city of Fullerton and Orange County).

  16. Take note, FPD is only 150 woman/man pd more or less. And allegations of misconduct, just what has come to the surface recently involve about 10% of force, i.e. fpd6, Rincon and his “lookout”, the i-pod thief, the drug addict, the officers that brutalized and then purgered themselves in the V. Mam fiasco, apparently wrongful imprisonment in this Martinez case and those are just some that come to mind…look at the time, gotta go…

    1. Grammar, punctuation, parsing, incorrectly using one word for another (e.g. “steeping” for “stooping”) – the list could go on and on…

  17. Well, first you would have had to either beat someone to death, molest a woman in your squad car, or rough up an innocent person before anyone would have a reason to threaten you.

  18. Save US from the Fullerton Cops :
I’m not so stunned. The funny (or sad) thing to me isn’t that some people are truly THAT ignorant — it’s that they DON’T KNOW how ignorant they are (and apparently many of them are employed in official roles within the city of Fullerton and Orange County).

by definition, people wouldn’t be aware of how ignorant they are, if only it worked that way. I guess I give people more credit than they deserve, and that is why I assumed the letter was written by a child.

  19. In re to NOMAD, the 10% fits to the bell curve in the run of the mill situations.
The FPD is a skewed model that has been manufactured by a flawed process and the result is a substandard product.
If the flawed product causes harm to the user, the producer is liable. My times this will be the driver for the producer to seek bankruptcy protection.
The FPD and several senior Fullerton city leaders are morally and ethically bankrupt.
In this case, the FPD and Leaders must be replaced and no remnants can be permitted to contaminate a new organization.

  20. That letter is typical of the knuckle draggers with shaved heads and dark sunglasses that populate many police departments throughout the country. They’re genetic descendants of the inbreeding between neanderthal and homosapiens – full of fear and violence. It’s amazing that such a creature is capable of stringing together words to convey a concept.

  21. fullerton lover :If the police here in Fullerton make us feel safe, than why oh why are my children so frightened of the police, that we actually looked into getting a restraining order to keep them 100 yards away from our home here in Fullerton?

Seriously what are your kids a bunch of Juvenile delinquents? WOW

    1. Too bad you don’t realize what its like to have to explain to kids that the police, those brave heroes whom they have looked up to since they were little, beat an innocent man to death and that’s why all those flowers are there. How many parents do you think have had to have this conversation with their kids in the last 2 months?

Cops reading this – do you want the kids of the community you serve to be scared of you? Doesn’t it make you feel sick inside to know this is happening all over your city? That a whole cohort of little kids are going to identify policemen with murder?

      If I worked at FPD:
      1. I’d be writing down every single thing I know
      2. I’d be hiring a really good lawyer
      3. I’d be looking into State of California whistleblower protection law
      4. I’d be looking for a new line of work
but at least I’d have a clean conscience.

      1. Of course they want the kids to be afraid of them. That is the philosophical basis of that department, and it has been for years. When everyone fears them, their job is done…and done well. And those patrolling our streets are intentionally selected as inferior and ignorant so they won’t question the “rule by fear” protocol and then their conscience won’t get in the way (being they don’t have one).

And if anyone thinks that someone is going to step away from that department and do the right thing, you are smoking something whacky.

It is terribly sad, but true.

        1. “And if anyone thinks that someone is going to step away from that department and do the right thing, you are smoking something whacky.”

Hope springs eternal. And it only takes one. But I hear you.

      2. jt wrote: “Too bad you don’t realize what its like to have to explain to kids that the police, those brave heroes whom they have looked up to since they were little, beat an innocent man to death…”

Hey, we agree! How ’bout that? 🙂

For me personally this was the worst part of the criminal act and tragedy. I was up north at our condo with my 11 year-old daughter and her best friend. They had just returned with me from a mtn. bike ride. We were tired and maybe that’s why, for once, they didn’t leave the couch when I turned on the news early last August and first heard the story of the murder of Kelly Thomas.

They weren’t sure what was going on, didn’t catch the details, but their curiosity was aroused and they asked me, “What happened?” I explained to them that several cops beat a homeless man to death back home on OC, not far from where we live.

To say these little girls were shocked is beyond an understatement. “Why? Why did the police do that?” They asked.

I had to explain to them that not all cops are really good guys like our neighbor down the street, whose daughter is in their circle of friends. “They aren’t all like Brianna’s dad.” I saw in their eyes how deflated they were. Their rainbow world of horses and American Girl Dolls had just become a lot gnarlier, permanently. Man that sucked.

I came home and started writing posts on the subject to the OCR site, and eventually found my way here, where a few otherwise like-minded folks have apparently decided I’m Susan Kang Schroeder! But that’s another kinda sucky story… LOL

        1. @ EyeNeverSayNo: a few otherwise like-minded folks have apparently decided I’m Susan Kang Schroeder! But that’s another kinda sucky story…

Good grief! Man! it was an idle, question!! I haven’t made up my, mind about you, or Reality is a quark.

I don’t know, Jim, maybe I could have fixed it with my tri-corder if you’d just…

Shut up, bones. Scotty, get us the hell out of here!

Rrright captain. I’ll just haf’ta make a few minor adjustments to the nacells first.

Scotty! How long will that, take?

          Oh, I dunno, Cap’n perrhaps three years…?

Scotty! I need those nacells, online within three hours, or the trolls will be swarming, all over us!

          1. …a little addendum for you, also posted in the Tea Leaves Thread. Just interested to read your rationalization, ur, response.

EyeNeverSayNo: No, I’m stating that Cabaniss (is this you?) faulted the DA…

EyeNeverSayNo: If you are Mark Cabaniss, I guess I have to ask, did you miss that?

That is interesting. When you ask someone an off the cuff question it is something you just “have to ask,” but if I ask the same sort of question of you suddenly it is a blog-wide conspiracy?

Your double standards are showing, pal.

            Incidentally:

            EyeNeverSayNo on September 13, 2011
As for the relationship between T-Rack and the Schroeders being “unhealthy,” I don’t know if it is or is not. Or even if they have a ‘too close’ relationship as has been suggested in the Weekly, and perhaps elsewhere.

Please note: Contrary to the belief here on FFF among some, I am not a great fan of the DA, and I’m not here to stick up for him personally.

And, yet you do, again, and again, and again. The number must be into several hundred times now on the FFFF blog. Are the number of your denials increasing too?

There is no conspiracy. People just see you defending T-Rack ad nauseam, and draw what seems a logical conclusion, not because anyone dislikes you, or hates T-rack, but simply because of the observable facts. Someone says something about T-Rack, and you rush to his rescue.

“Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn,” what your relation with T-Rack is, or is not. Just don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining.

Used to have quite a bit of respect for you, but now, don’t know what to think.

          2. addendum to the addendum:

It is also disturbing the ferocity with which you attack people you seem to feel threaten T-Rack, people like Peanut. Why is that? And of course, I am another conspiracy nut to you, right? Why because I’ve got questions about the Emperor’s new cloths?

          3. My response, also posted on Tea Leaves thread:

Xer wrote: “That is interesting. When you ask someone an off the cuff question it is something you just “have to ask,” but if I ask the same sort of question of you suddenly it is a blog-wide conspiracy? Your double standards are showing, pal.”

Xer, did you miss the fact that the poster of whom I asked the question shares the same first name as attorney Cabaniss? This is why I was curious if I was addressing Cabaniss himself or just coincidentally another ‘Mark.’ No implication of conspiracy was intended.

As for defending T-Rack, as I’ve written elsewhere, I don’t give a shit about the DA personally. He may very well be an evil asshole, but I do have a theory of what’s going to happen down the line, and because my theory is that the DA will and must charge the cops with serious crimes, I’ve been put in the position of having to defend the delay in charging and explaining why I believe it’s not evidence of a cover-up or a grand conspiracy. And yes, defending the DA on other points as well, as I did here. Example: If I thought the DA was indeed ‘conceding points’ to the cops’ defense as Mr. Cabaniss asserts above, then I would be forced to reexamine my theory, but when I see that Cabaniss’ logic is faulty and based on a misreading of the article he cites, I point that out in defense of my own theory. Is this really that hard to understand? I mean I’ve assumed that the cheap shots at me for supposedly wanting to “blow the DA” and such were just that, cheap shots by small minds, but you seem to be smarter than that, so I’m surprised you also jump off and on that bandwagon.

Unlike most here, I’ve stepped up to give an unpopular theory and to defend it. For example, when asked to give my opinion as to a specific time frame with regard to the OC DA’s charging or not charging the officers who murdered Thomas, I stepped up to the plate and answered the question. I don’t recall my exact words at the moment, and what the details are not germane to my point to you here, but the “Anonymous” poster who asked me the question seemed to appreciate that I at least had the balls to commit myself to a time frame: http://www.fullertonsfuture.org/2011/we-get-mail-a-threat/#comment-55739

Anyway, you seem to think that every time I jokingly post something about my being referred to as “Susan Kang Schroeder” I’m talking about you. Sorry Xer, while you may have been the first, others have picked up on it as well, indeed, someone took one of my posts, copied part of it and reposted it as coming from “Susan Scrotum.” Real mature, eh?

So look, why don’t you climb down off my back and let’s either have some worthwhile dialog or just ignore each other? I’d prefer the latter over the former because I enjoy reading and responding to much of what you have to say.

Thanks in advance for considering the points above.

          4. Oh and as for your addendum, I was a little drunk when I posted that “ferocious” response to Peanut. I was a little embarrassed when I read what I wrote the next morning, but happy that I didn’t get too much more carried away that night. I try to keep to a higher standard than that here, so my apologies to Peanut and to anyone else that was offended.

          5. Damn, I did it again… that line near the end of my long response was supposed to read “I’d prefer the FORMER over the LATTER because I enjoy reading and responding to much of what you have to say.”

            Sorry, dyslexia is a horrible thing… 🙂

          6. Such a strange thing about this blog design, instead of [REPLY]ing to the post you wish to address you often have to make your reply to the one above the one you mean, or even above that one. Curious, said Alice.

I was curious if I was addressing Cabaniss himself or just coincidentally another ‘Mark.’ No implication of conspiracy was intended.

Okay, perhaps my mistake was a little more imaginative than yours?

The civility in your response was appreciated. You can at times be a bit acerbic, and I was initially hesitant to broach this subject from fear of a heated retort or acidic tongue. Your reply was pleasant instead. Nice.

Please, accept my apology for the Susan Kang Schroeder thing, it was only idle curiosity due to the appearance of dogged loyalty on your part to the DA. and certainly not meant to start anything, Wish it would just go away.

Allow me to say, I almost always enjoy reading your posts, as they sometimes offer a different, yet not illogical perspective stimulating different trains of thought. And, you do seem genuinely interested in justice for Kelly. Don’t wish to argue with you about T-Rack, am only interested to see if he actually will do the right thing, as you believe, or not, as so many others believe. Nor was I trying to paint you in a bad light, no bandwagons here, simply pointing out my own observations. I am NOT on your back, friend, and hope you can get over that feeling soon. But, sometimes somethings really stand out, and if they seem contrary to other things a person may say or do? Well, it makes me curious, and I’m likely to mention it. Nothing personal, no insult intended, simply observations.

Wasn’t it Jt asked you for a specific timeframe? I think it was he.

Understand now about the slash and burn on Peanut. Gotta watch that booze, it is a narcotic, legal but narcotic. I gave it up after the heart surgery and have missed it much less than ever expected. Except the smell of a really fine single malt, still miss that sweet peaty aroma. (yum)

Thanks in advance for considering the points above.

My pleasure, thanks for the time and thought.

…line near the end of my long response was supposed to read “I’d prefer the FORMER over the LATTER…

            As much was assumed. (Chuckle)

          7. Xer asked: “Wasn’t it Jt asked you for a specific timeframe? I think it was he.”

Naw, it was an “Anonymous” poster, and I found it.
            http://www.fullertonsfuture.org/2011/reading-the-tea-leaves-parsing-the-statements-out-of-the-das-office/#comment-54748

Not to blow my own horn too much, but my answer was “maybe as short as a week” to the question of when I thought charges might come down. That was last Monday. Tonight I’m reading on FFF that “the DA has hinted that he may make a big announcement about the cops who killed Kelly Thomas as early as (this coming) Monday.”

This would make sense… it’s been about ten weeks since Kelly’s death, the same approximate amount of time it took for the autopsy to come down in the Costa Mesa City Hall jumper Huy Phan suicide last spring.

Believe me, I really hope the evidence is there in Thomas’ autopsy to allow for a vigorous prosecution of his murderers, but I’m worried… I know how these things go, and despite outward appearances (many eye witnesses, surveillance video) the DA has a difficult uphill fight ahead if he hopes to get convictions of police officers on serious charges here in OC. An ambiguous or less than favorable to prosecution autopsy will sink any chance of that, and leave a lot of us angry and disappointed (understatement here).

Thanks for the thoughtful reply, and yes, I can see how my position could lead to the conclusion that I’m a cheerleader for the OC DA, and that sometimes I write things which “seem contrary to other things” I might say, that’s just me, I’m not a linear thinker at all and my visceral response is to always reject group think… a true child of the 60s I guess.

See ya around my friend. Thanx again.

  22. still love fullerton :seriously now, this blog is really getting to the cop lovers, i couldn’t sleep last night, so i kept monitoring the blog. and alot of the cop lovers are not sleeping well..they come on and post when no one is here to try to convince them how wrong they are..
the pressure is getting to them..

I don’t think so? this shit is just getting old. You still have that option of moving?
If all of you are so intelligent and qualified to be a cop or run the city? WTF are you waiting for.
Anyone who writes a post on here with an opinion that you don’t like? all you do is insult their level of education, intelligence or grammar. This is a FN blog.

  23. Not to touch that same nerve again, Sunshine, but don’t you remember in 1st or 2nd grade they taught you how to use the question mark — you know, that squiggly thing with the dot under it: ??????????

By the way, if an unarmed “suspect” is beaten to death, several other FPD scandals arise, and your best solution to the problem is for the CITIZENS to move away, perhaps YOUR “shit is getting old.”

  24. Joe Sipowicz :
Thanks for the reminder of that sad story. I’m going to publish a post on that.

not sure if I wrote it in this topic or not but

I was wondering also if it would be good to have
    Veth Mam
    Emmanuel
    Sex Abuse victims
etc in court during the KThomas trial

  25. I love what you are doing on this blog and I am in full support of the protesters. Myself and others are disgusted by the things our city “leaders” are running things. But all this ridiculous banter is getting to be too much. Let the kids run their mouths. We dont need to stoop to their level of maturity. Lets keep the comments focused on the task at hand. Please. I dont enjoy reading through some of the nonsense. Keep up the good work in getting us the truth. The childish banter isn’t necessary.

    Thx.

I interpret this blog to be a part of a FIGHT PLAN not a Flight plan.
There is the likely possibility the Federal Dept.of Justice will have inhouse monitors at FPD, if the FPD survives.

  27. WOW!Burning the candle @ both ends.Ughhh?..ok we’ll answer. We don’t like it .Thats why we are protesting. Its kinda scary to think that people we pay to serve us, treat us however they please ( lowest being murder). This letter shows the regress of knowledge in our nation of our right to live(don’t kill me ) & the police state we are heading towards to.Thus burning the candle of freedom @ both ends. 28. EyeNeverSayNo :jt wrote: “Too bad you don’t realize what its like to have to explain to kids that the police, those brave heroes whom they have looked up to since they were little, beat an innocent man to death…”
Hey, we agree! How ’bout that?

Did you also explain to to them innocent until proven guily or just plain scare the shit out of them.

No one has been charged, tried and convicted (never will be) So how is that right?

    1. “Did you also explain to to them innocent until proven guily or just plain scare the shit out of them.

No one has been charged, tried and convicted (never will be) So how is that right?”

Kelly was never charged, tried or convicted… he had the shit scared out of him and was then beaten to death (cops were the judge, jury and exocutioner) . So how is that right?

    2. When my girls are old enough to ask, I will explain it to them. And in very great detail. We can take the beating, and subsequent death of Kelly Thomas for example (as well we should).

Cops: Innocent until proven guilty. Paid vacation while a “complete” and “through” investigation takes place to determine if criminal charges are warranted.

Citizens: Guilty until proven innocent. Charged and jailed immediately while a “slam dunk” investigation occurs in a mere fraction of the time. Loss of job due to being jailed while awaiting trial.

      That about sum it up?

    3. Yeah, we had a fairly long conversation about what they had just seen on the news. We talked about how there would be an investigation. I discussed with them how the news media can’t/doesn’t always tell the whole story, they said they already knew this, and that there could be more unreported details which might at least partially explain why it happened.

The thing is, they have grown up here at the beach and have been exposed to some of the more really hardcore homeless in OC since they were babies. The girls are well aware that we are talking about some of the most defenseless and pitiful members of our society. So their reaction was not so much fear for themselves but ‘why would anybody beat a poor homeless man to death, let alone the police?’

  34. please dont forget that these cops and their families are FIGHTING for their very LIVES,

    hence

i would not be surprised if the FEAR and PRESSURE begins to push them over the edge, to the point where they really freak out and do some really haynus shit ,

what do they care if they open fire on a crowd of freak hippy protesters, they know they are going down with 25 to life or maybe a lethal injection, they know their lives are over, and so do their families. plus their consciences are so dark and full of fear already,

  35. and i just want to quote JT

i think thats the other next best thing that the cops can do

    “If I worked at FPD:
    1. I’d be writing down every single thing I know
    2. I’d be hiring a really good lawyer
    3. I’d be looking into State of California whistleblower protection law
    4. I’d be looking for a new line of work
but at least I’d have a clean conscience.”

  36. EyeNeverSayNo :Oops, restarted my computer and didn’t realize my info needed to be filled in again… the above was from me.

Good enough…. But not all homeless people are defenseless and pitiful members of our society.

    1. Let me guess Barry, Kelly Thomas was a trained head butter and when crazy head butting everything in sight including curbs and tasers. Your mom hates you.

    2. Yes. Saw a guy awhile back, maybe early 30’s, bedroll and backpack, shirt off, taking a bath from a hose at the gas station. He actually looked like a pretty highly evolved member of our species in an apex predator sorta way. Far, far from helpless or pitiful. So I know what you mean, but I’m pretty sure you know what I mean too.

    Oh PLease…..

    1. That may be true, but we all know why arrogant douchebags coming out of downtown restaurants and getting into their Ranges aren’t beat to death: Money makes one far, far less defenseless in our society.

In Kelly’s case the cops probably weren’t too worried about getting in trouble. They had no idea that Kelly was much loved and cared about by a man and his family who weren’t just going to accept Kelly’s violent passing as an inevitable end to a long-term family problem.

For me this is what makes the apologist’s refrain here that “Dad Thomas didn’t care about his son” both appallingly obnoxious and laughable at the same time. It’s precisely because he loved and cared about his son and wanted justice that he turned down a million dollar settlement, while the cops who murdered Kelly are instead facing the very real possibility of going to prison. Many, if not most, families probably would have taken the money, and in their heart of hearts considered the circumstances of Kelly’s demise as something of win/win: No more disruptive and troublesome mentally ill family member to deal with, and a million bucks in their pocket. It sounds cold and heartless, but it happens. Just not this time.

That is why I said this shit is getting old and pathetic. If you hate Fullerton so much take your tax dollars and move to a place where you feel safe, where your kids are not afraid. Don’t shove this shit down on those of us who don’t have a problem with FPD or Fullerton or OC.

Your…yeah yeah yeah’s are just pathetic! And to say, “You still have that option of moving”, really? I have lived here all my life and I DON”T WANT TO MOVE, I am sure many more feel the same way.

You say, “Innocent until proven guilty” Yes, I agree, but that is after the CHARGE has been made. NOT allowed to work, and then placed on paid leave weeks later and allowed to do what ever they want to…… UNTIL FINALLY, the CHARGE that should have happened back on July 5, 2011 happens…when???
Is this how it works for the normal person?

And the RECALL BY ALL MEANS, for the three Council members that have not stood up for JUSTICE and not held those ACCOUNTABLE, and not QUESTION those in charge, why things like, viewing the video tape to complete police reports happened… APPALLING!

Why should any Fullerton Citizen need to move because they want justice now, not years from now? These days are “sad” for the City of Fullerton, and sad for all of it’s citizen when justice and honor are not the “standard” that those in city positions live by.

Oh thats right he has half a badge because POST said no to him, LAPD said no to him and FPD said “send him over” because they do not need the real facts, half truths and made up reports are right up a guy with no way to actually do police work (POST RULES) alley… just what FPD needed to kill homeless smelly guys.

You know what my FN opinion is, I have said it here many times. According to you and others on this site my opinion is wrong because I don’t agree with you. PERIOD

This blog is down to people calling people names, others writing vulgar stuff under ones name. TALK about GED.

Do your research, find the city with perfect PD and educated cops, Educated City Leaders and FING move.

This site is just stupid now, this site is like 15% intelligent people posting honestly and open minded. The others are just a bunch of losers who probably have a criminal past and like to be vulgar.

Please take down the memorial in DTF it was an eyesore last night and Yes Bill Ron Thomas for the clean up. Maybe after he gets his money he can put some benches in for the homeless in Kellys name.
