A Day Late And A Dollar Short
Trying to keep up with the FFFF juggernaut isn’t easy, but Repuglican hackling Matthew J. Cunningham seems to want to give it a go.
Maybe he took umbrage at us last week for posting the fact that he tried to do a public records strip-search of Republican County Clerk candidate Hugh Nguyen. After all, Cunningham is still trying to pitch the concept that he represents some sort of conservative ideals. Working as a flack for Democrat Tom Daly isn’t going to help sell that fable.
Today we learned that our old friend has made a request at the County to see our public document requests! It seems Cunningham has requested a County-wide search for any document requests made by our own fearless Travis Kiger. Well, turn about is fair play, of course, and we always play fair.
And because we’re so helpful, we’ll make it easy on him. We’ve requested Tom Daly’s and Rene Ramirez’ County issued blackberry and credit card records for the past couple of years. Why? After the discovery of the $48,000 sports hall of fame fiasco, the $1700 per month do-nothing retainer, and the $2.1 million building purchase disaster, we’ve been wondering what other fiscal misadventures have been swept under the County Clerk’s rug during Tom’s tenure.
Of course one has to wonder why The Jerb is so interested in finding out what we are looking for, and the curious wouldn’t have to waste a lot of time guessing. He’s obviously working for Tom Daly’s campaign, no doubt through the direction of his boss and political soul mate John Lewis. Still, a County-wide search?
Those guys seem to be terrified that more crooked skeletons will soon be a tumblin’ out of Tom Daly’s closet, and it looks like maybe it’s Cunningham’s job to run interference and perhaps preemptively wordsmith them away.
And it may also be that Cunningham just wants to see what we’re up to so he can find out if he has any other buddies under our scrutiny. Or maybe he just wants to learn what real, disinterested citizen bloggers do.
In any case we’re flattered to have somebody check out and even publicize what we’re doing. See, unlike Cunningham, we aren’t front men for crooks, influence peddlers, and perjurers. We’re just funny that way.
Since FFFF already does the Registers job, and presumably the peoples, why should’nt you do Matt’s too?
This guy does’nt have an industrious bone in his body, he steals other peoples work and makes it his own.
Catholic School tuition is expensive so help him out boys (unless he gets a pass as a “protector of the clergy”), do more of his research for him. He obviously can’t do any real discovery on his own.

This is what I have to say Mr. Berardino maybe you should take a look at the waste in the Clerk Recorder office as well. Tom Daly has handed out several contracts to friends who dont really do anthing for the money. He gave Brett Barbre and $48,000 contract to brainstorm about an OC Hall of Fame, he bought a delapidated building two years ago for $2.1 million dollars to be used as and Archives museum (and it is still sits vacant), he gave Government Finance Research over $100,000 and they literally do nothing but they still get a retainer fee every month; he gave his friends at South Tech Systems over $4 million for a electronic recording system even thought the County already had an electronic recording system.
Yes the Assessor new Property system has turned into a money pit and a big waste of money, but there is also a lot of WASTE in the Clerk-Recorders Office.
I have also heard the same thing from our department. Poor Matt has started a war hear and outsiders are starting to look in and see what is really going on in the Clerk’s corrupt office.
Now, besides Sex Victims, Matt has outed the Clerk Recorder. HAHAHAH
I have friends at the Clerk Recorder office that tells me that TOM DALY is harassing some of the young hispanic woman. They are afraid when he comes by there desk. They are afraid to say anything to him.
Adriene, Ana and Sylvia don’t be afraid of this old run down politician. You are protected by the law and this dirty career politician shouldn’t be harassing you guys especially during county time.

Also you purchased a building that is being use by homeless at night and the building cost taxpayers 2.1 million dollars. This is terrible that an elected official can abuse taxpayers money and no one will question him.
Where is the DA or Board of Supervisors or OCEA Nick Berardino loud mouth on other issues but afraid to come after his friend Tom Daly. I pay my union dues so Nick you need to do your job. Some needs to investigate Tom Daly and hold him accountable for his action!!
