Carona Love Letters Protrude from Craig Hunter’s Stakeholders

Perhaps the felonious Mike Carona promised them that these letters would not be released to the public. Or maybe Greg Block and Bill Prentice owed Carona a huge favor. Whatever the reason, these two leaders of the OCCCWS PAC wrote fluffy letters in support of disgraced ex-sheriff Mike Carona when he was about to be sentenced for his crime earlier this year.

Already mentioned was the fact that these two are backing Anaheim cop Craig Hunter for OC Sheriff. We even supposed that they were instrumental in getting the candidate to run, given that they threw out rumors of his candidacy and announced his run before even Craig Hunter himself could put the word out.

Not A Good Resume Cover

This letter is off to a bad start

The Capistrano Dispatch published a long list of letters sent to the court in support of Carona before his sentencing. In Greg Block’s letter to Judge Guilford (Exhibit 11), he wrote gems like “Mike Corona (sp) is a good man with a big heart” and “Mike gave his time and heart to the County of Orange making it a better place”.

Sure he did. And then he earned himself 66 months in federal prison.

Greg Block's Letter (Click to read)

Greg Block's Letter (Click to read)

The founder of OCCCWS, Bill Prentice, also wrote his own sappy letter (Exhibit 46). It was slightly less embarrassing, but went down the same slimy path of asking Judge Guilford to let Carona off the hook.

So why did Block write this shameful letter? If you remember our last post on this subject, you know that Carona allowed Greg Block to have special access inside the OCSD and Greg used that access to promote his firearms training business and taunt CCW applicants. Block’s access to the department has been hindered since Carona’s departure, and he looks to be attempting to restore his insider access to the department through candidate Craig Hunter.

Bottom line: There is no question that Craig Hunter is backed by Carona insiders and apologists.

When you say “access”, what exactly do you mean? Was Block allowed to look at all of the CCW applications? Were all CCW applicants told they had to use his services? Was there a big poster in the CCW office advertising his services?

Once inside, what did Block do?

Also, this sounds like Joe Cavallo and the bail bonds folks who had special access to internal activities and inmates. I wonder if Cavallo handled any stuff for Block or Hunter? Maybe Cavallo had something going on at APD??? Or is that a stretch?

Often, the truth is more entertaining than fiction!

Good question. Here is a classic example of Greg Block’s behavior:

      http://www.calccw.com/Forums/new-members/2134-dfg-violation-problem-oc-ccw-3.html

He posts on this forum as CCWInstructor (his email address is in each of his posts).

A poster by the name of “Eurospec” says that none of the forum members have an affect on his CCW application, at which point Block begins bragging about his influence within the department and his ability to affect applications. He seems to have some kind of friendship with Melissa, who is responsible for processing the CCW requests.

Note how the CCW applicant is belittled and threatened. Despicable behavior, especially if Block really was capable of following through with his threats.

This from The Register (Mackadeit) 11/19:

“Hunter will have to get the establishment that hasn’t already backed Hutchens – Mike Schroeder is a major supporter of Hunter’s – and pull in some of the gun crowd. He also hopes to get the deputies’ and county employees’ unions.

It’s a little too soon for the unions to commit to anyone. But one major local pro-gun group endorsed Hunter a couple of days ago. Bill Prentice, founder of Ordinary California Citizens Concerned With Safety, told me Hunter told the group he would use his discretion under state law “in the most liberal manner possible” to issue CCW permits. Hunt has said essentially the same thing, and also has some pro-CCW supporters. But Prentice said his group went with Hunter because of baggage Hunt carries from the Carona Era (even though no one was more anti-Carona than Hunt) and because the group doesn’t believe Hunt’s pro-CCW stance is consistent.”

Schroeder!? Wasn’t that guy the Carona spokesperson after Carona’s Indictment? I guess the “baggage” Prentice was refering to was Hunt’s apparent refusal to kow tow to certain elements of the CCW crowd.

Wow, these guys have a lot of unconditional love for Carona. That explains why they hate Bill Hunt. I don’t think OC is dumb enough to let Carona-ites pick the next sheriff.

  4. #5 by OC Gunner on December 7, 2009

This is really all Bill Hunt has? I mean, this is the level of support he has? Tin foil hatters posting on local blogs?

Ask Hunt about Haidl, and Arpaio.

Seriously, if you folks could read you would see that Hunter filed his papers on November 2nd. Your conspiracy theory, minuteman, oath-keeper, was against corruption before I was for it (Arpaio) schtick is pretty transparent. Is Bill hurting this badly that he really thinks he can have you guys from the fringe attack a 30 year, respected LEO through his supporters?

    Please.

It’s sad to se what America has come to. Underneath the “desire to inform public” and “dig for truth” little man hide and lash out at everyone and anyone.

Have you ever met Greg Block? Have you ever met Bill Prentice? Have you ever asked them about why did they write those letters? Or are you just magically aware of their thoughts? I have never met neither one of them but I’m curious to hear the other side of the story (and here at least the public media try to get the other side of the story unlike you do).

Maybe I should start my own website where I crucify folks who do one sided attempts at what they’re trying to pass as reporting and truth digging?

    • #7 by Actually on December 7, 2009

Actually there are two blogs reporting on this. Here is the other one http://orangejuiceblog.com/

    • #8 by Jim Franklin on December 7, 2009

Oh come on, JJ. You really think writing love letters on behalf of the criminal, thief, liar, hypocrite, scum-suck Carona won’t cause people to question your own characer and judgment?

You don’t have to be a mind reader to know what was going on in the fetid brains of Carona and his followers: guns, badges, money, influence and sex.

There was “another side” of the Carona story? Wonder what that might be?

  6. #9 by Moedad on December 7, 2009

So would it be safe to say that none of the writers of those letters are supporting Hunt now, and that Hunt supporters will not connected with any of them?

  7. #10 by OC Gunner on December 7, 2009

    Arpaio apologists…check. Haidl apologists…check. Minuteman nutjobs…check. Oathkeeper nutjobs…check.

Yep, Bill’s support is glowing. Totally mainstream.

  8. #11 by Jefferson Thomas on December 7, 2009

    JJ,

Hilarious! I mean truly Laugh OUT LOUD funny.

You see kind sir, when people sign their name to a statement……that IS there side of the story. When people plead for a convicted felon……that IS THEIR CHARACTER.

No one needs to meet Greg Block or Bill Prentice…..THEY introduced themselves to us with their character by supporting a convicted felon. NOW they want to “endorse” a candidate who once beat the piss out of a Mexican……and then attempted to ruin the career of a promising young cadet who finished first in his class.

YOU are now a moron blinded by your “faith” that Carona and his ilk are good people.

Please do start your own website digging for the truth. Take note that Travis did not ever endorse any candidate, he simply is digging for the truth on this one…..which looks mysteriously like Carona part 2!!!!

George Mason: “To disarm the people is the most effectual way to enslave them.” (3 Elliot, Debates at 380) – Easy to do when you are in power to doll out the ability to protect yourself. Commonly referred to as ELITIST.

Thomas Jefferson: “No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.” (T. Jefferson papers, 334, C.J. Boyd, Ed. 1950) – EXACTLY what Block has attempted to do by bullying them.

Sigmund Freud: “A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity.” (“General Introduction to Psychoanalysis,” S. Freud) Huh this must really hit home…..you see the PAC that supports Hunter wants their control back…..maybe it is because they can’t control their own bedroom.

  9. #12 by Greg (NOT Block) on December 7, 2009

Nothing in politics is mainstream. If it was, you would see a much higher turn out. Mainstream people show up to Black-eyed Pees concerts, baseball games, department stores. Few of them report to their precinct to cast a vote and even few give a second thought to voting for someone who runs the jail. That is the view I have encountered. Few people understand what the Sheriff does besides run the jail and court security.

Mainstream people are quiet. They don’t attend rallies. They don’t picket. It takes people with unusually passion for a subject or cause to take those extra steps. Prop 8 and Obama created some serious mainstream interest in California, but the office of sheriff for our wealthy little county isn’t going to get any college kids excited nor will minorities come out to cast their first-time ballots on what you and I think is an important issue.

  10. #13 by HIU on December 7, 2009

    To #9:

You pretty much got that right.

    To #10:

Let’s see, we’ve to Carona apologists and Anderson supporter backing up Hunter. If you said they are for OC resident CCW right, than I guess Hutchens is also for OC resident CCW right.

Before Hutchens fiasco hits the news, how many people got denied renewal/new application under avid shooter/carry expensive equipment (firearms) as good cause? Yeah, I remember that. The same group of people who lobby Anderson to turn-down a previously working good cause, sounds like the same way Hutchens said your good cause is no longer good.

Also, I recall when OC BOS was ready to appoint the Sheriff, the same group of people (CALCCW, OCCCWS was not formed yet) was pushing hard for Anderson, so hard that these people was threatening to influence OCSD to turn down a CCW applicant because the said applicant was pushing for Hunt instead.

Don’t for a minute think they are for your gun rights. GB and BP are in for the control, like they used to be able to influence Carona.

REST ASSURED….WHEN THE LEADERS OF “OCCCWS” AND “CALCCW” GET “SERVED,” THEN THE “TRUTH” WILL COME OUT! WE WILL FINALLY KNOW WHO THE LITTLE GROUP OF “TRICKY DICKIES” ARE TRYING TO RUN THE “SHOW.” ALL WILL BE DONE TO PROTECT, ENCOURAGE, AND PROMOTE THE FIND FOLKS WHO REALLY CARE ABOUT THE “CCW” ISSUES, AND NOT THEIR OWN PERSONAL “CLICKS” AND “ADVANTAGES.” I BELIEVE SOMETHING LIKE “DISMENINATION OF CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION” WILL BE HIGHLIGHTING THE LAW SUIT, AND ORIGNIALLY COMING THROUGH “CHANNELS” OF RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN SOME OF THE WEB SITE ADMINISTRATORS AND THE O.C.S.D….

    • #18 by Travis on December 8, 2009

      Well that sounds interesting…

    • #19 by Citizen Joe on December 8, 2009

Hard to believe R.J is talking about “personal clicks and advantages” when he spent 3 minutes in front of the board of directors talking about how he’s been friends with Hutchens for 40 years, bragging about his influence with her (while she’s sitting behind him looking mortified) and using back-door deals to get CCWs for him and his friends. Did any of you SEE the video from the Board of Supervisors meeting?

I hope you Hunt supporters aren’t relying on his help. This guy seems like a mole for Hutchens.

      • #20 by Observant on December 8, 2009

So you’re saying that this R.J. guy will embarass both Hunter and Hutchens? How is that a bad deal for Hunt?

  15. #21 by R.J. on December 8, 2009

    Sir Citizen Joe;

Please provide proof of what you said. I don’t think any of my friend, or I have any “CCW’s” because of my perceived “actions,” above and beyond what anyone else may have! In addition, I notice no one will ever respond to the fact that a few folks, and I have been “banned” from posting on CalCCW, and that when confronted, “CalCCW007: had no guts to admit it. It’s A.O.K., just that Greg Block, some of the Administrators, etc., are nothing but big “WHooooses,” and have acted like most “Commie Liberals.”….Change the subject, and don’t answer the questions. Don’t “confront,” just use “mis-direction.” I have done everything short of “begging” some of them for “correction and leadership,” but once a “trip,” then always a “dip,” as far as they are concerned. I love to be proved “wrong,” and have always had an attitude of “learning,” not “Male Macho Testosterone Reacting.” Funny….all these “leaders” are great guys, I like Greg and Rico, but they never make “mistakes” do they. Anyway, I am not a “Mole” for Sheriff Hutchens. I certainly do not want to “embarass” anyone, but perhaps Ms. Hutchens for some of her “LA” leadership! If I do, then it will be done without all the “BS” that has been coming from OCCCWS, etc. Once again, thank God I now have good folks guiding my time and money to better our County, and I did not give Greg Block the thousands and thousands of dollars he (they) wanted to some “questionable” tactics!!!! Remember…Greg Block called Jack Anderson and “Enemy,” when there was a slight “Spiff” between them…The sad thing is that all “involved” really have good hearts and passion for the “Cause,” but won’t allow for different approaches to problems…including even talking about them.

I am planning a “Meet and Greet” for all members of “OCCCWS” and “CALCCW” at my Estate soon to meet with Mr. Bill Hunt. I wonder what Greg, Rico, and a few ‘others’ will do to waste their time in “po=poing” this “fact finding meeting? I wonder if they will have the guts and educated minds to attend. This is all about candidate Bill Hunt, not Greg or me.

  16. #22 by Anonymous on December 8, 2009

Who is R.J.? I would like to hear what Hunt and the CCW groups have to say.

  17. #23 by HIU on December 8, 2009

R.J. is the one with bow-tie, representing Federal Flight Deck Officer (armed pilots) at OC Board of Supervisor meeting, and was made fun of by OCSD employee via text message that later uncovered via public record request.

R.J. was part of OCCCWS at beginning and there seems to be a major fall-out between him and CALCCW/OCCCWS. I wonder what has happened. But knowing how GB works, heaven forbid if you had any slight disagreement with him.

  18. #24 by 03 on December 8, 2009

Uh, RJ. While I appreciate you associating me with James Bond I could never aspire to his level of greatness. You may refer to me as Chris, CalCCW03 or just 03.

Reading Travis’ blog I had his source pinned down to 2 people. You and one other. Lets see if this other person speaks up.

  19. #25 by R.J. on December 8, 2009

    Sir Chis;

*-Please tell me, and others, why you did not have the guts or just be a gentleman and admit that you were incorrect, and that I was “banned,” not for the “reasons,” just “man up,” that it is possible for you, Greg, Rico, to be wrong, at least once in a while. When you did not write back when I told you that I could not ‘PM, Log on,’ etc., you did not respond, and the few times I have read your posts, you seem to follow a lot of the theme…”don’t answer the question, just change the subject.” I can understand Greg’s and Rico’s ego, etc., but you seem to be a very level headed gentleman, not that they are not!

Please advise who “Travis’ Blog” is and where to find it. Thank you, if you have the moxey to even reply. I hope so. And you know more than anyone the “Truth,” and that is that I always like to be corrected when wrong.

  20. #26 by 03 on December 8, 2009

    RJ,

I don’t recall seeing an e-mail from you; rest assured if I had received one I would have taken care of the PM problem immediately. As far as I know you have not been banned, your posts are moderated because of some questionable things you said. I don’t recall at the moment what they were nor do I have the time to dig them up.

As far as “Travis’ Blog”, you replied to it, in fact we are here right now. Travis Kiger is the author of this particular blog. Perhaps you are not familiar with the term. From Wikipedia:

“A blog (a contraction of the term “web log”)[1] is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. “Blog” can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.”

RJ, you know what you did. You turned your back on a group of people that befriended you and showed support for you when “friend of 32 years” Appointed Sheriff Hutchens promised you that you would keep your CCW license. I’m curious to know what it is that you did that said friend later revoked your license and kicked you out of PSR’s. It was only after you burnt your bridges to CalCCW, OCCCWS and Hutchens that you decided to jump on the Hunt campaign. Not that there is anything wrong with supporting Hunt, I can see why he has garnered support from the 2A backers. I just wonder where you’ll go when you burn that bridge as well.

Quite frankly I don’t understand what the point of all of this is. There are 2 candidates that are Pro CCW. There is one that isn’t. Shouldn’t we be focusing our energies on defeating her rather than petty squabling amongst supporters of 2 like-minded candidates. Travis is focusing on the notion that Hunter is tainted because an individual that is supporting him played a role in setting up OC’s CCW system (based on his vast knowledge of the subject, not as “cronyism) and wrote a letter in Carona’s defense. As far as the list of letters Travis posted… I’m curious to know if any of the individuals who wrote a letter in support of Carona might appear on Hunt’s donor/supporter list. Does that mean Hunt is tainted as well? Using Mr. Kiger’s logic I would have to assume that Mr. Hunt WOULD be tainted. Where does that leave us? Four more years of Hutchens. Fantastic.

Lets judge the candidates by their merit and experience as LEO’s, not by who is supporting them. One has nothing to do with the other, as I mentioned previously I am sure there are some supporters of Hunt that might raise an eyebrow or two. Sheriff Joe Arpaio comes to mind.

In any case Travis, I have enjoyed reading your blogs regarding this issue. They have been well written. Your scource (s?) of information are a bit questionable but well written nevertheless.

    Sir Chris;

*-Thank you for your great and educating “post.” I am still “banned” no matter what you think, as it is fact that I cannot log on. I appreciated your explaination of “blog,” and who Mr. Travis is. In addition, I would really like to know what you mean I “turned my back on….?” as it was Greg and Rico that tossed me without explaination or correction or redemption…I am still very pro “OCCCWS and CalCCW” as far as the goals of CCW, so I agree with you about the “Squabling.” I think that things would work best for Mr. Hunt and Mr. Hunter if we could all get together and show support for either one while we are in fact finding mode. Oh…I have supported Mr. Hunt well, well before that BOS meeting, and even set up a meeting that Mr. Greg Block attended just to hear what Mr. Hunt had to say. In addition to that, neither Mr. Hunt, some of his supporters, and I have a clue as to why Mr. Block came back from that meeting with absolute hate for Mr. Hunt…no explainations, just slanders…hummmm.

Thank you again for your civil writings, and lets see if you can discover, then say,,,,”Yes R.J., it is true…you cannot log onto the site.”

Well…onward, and the best to the two (2) candidates that will help to throw out the current Sheriff by retiring her.

I don’t kiss anyone’s rear end and I believe I did tell you how I really feel. As far as banning people for not liking what someone says, that’s entirely untrue. There are a few things you do to get banned over there. Bashing Law Enforcement and being disrepectful, antagonistic, etc, etc, etc to ther members. If someone steps over those boundaries they are warned, if they continue the negative behaviour they are banned.

Maybe you are just a bit mis- informed…probably from Sir Greg or Rico. We will leave it at that, as I have tons of support from many members of both OCCCWS and CALCCW, even though it is not about me…It is about Mr. Hunt and Mr. Hunter. They are both fine men, and I just happen to be for Mr. Hunt, and that makes me, and a few more,….”Banned.” I double-dog darn dar ya to prove me wrong…I would love that too…I went from “Senior Member and Contributor” to non existance…Prove me wrong, and show where I did anything as to the listed “problems” you have above. And what’s so wrong with “bashing” law enforcement? From what I can tell, cops screw up all the time. Why should we keep our heads in the sand?

The truth is that those cops signed your CCW permits and you’re afraid to offend them. Grow a pair.

There’s a difference between “bashing” law enforcement and questioning the actions of a bad cop. The first is not permitted, the second is. As far as afraid of offending them, that’s pretty funny. We’re a small website trying to help people get CCW’s. I wish every cop in California was a member of CalCCW. The fact of the matter is that there is only a handful of LEO’s on our site and I am hardly afraid of offending them.

Cops go out everyday and put their lives on the line doing a pretty thankless job. To question the actions of one bad cop is one thing, but to just bash law enforcement as a whole for no other reason than to make a stink is another.

Your comment regarding “seeing how it works”. Enlighten me. I may be missing something, but I don’t think so since I am the person that usually takes care of that kind of stuff. You are welcome to do so, whether he answers or not is entirely up to him. Although the more appropriate question might be why he likes Hunter more than Hunt. If memory serves me correctly, Carona is not running for Sheriff.

As an aside, should you decide to start this thread it will be watched closely to make sure everyone (be you a Hunt fan or a Hunter fan) is being repectful towards one another. Topics like this have a tendency of getting heated.

*-YES! I SEE WHERE I USED TO “EXIST,” BUT WHEN I WENT TO THE “MEMBERS LIST,” I DO NOT EXIST. I CAN SEE NOW WHY YOU THINK I STILL EXIST, BUT WHEN YOU CHECK THE “MEMBERS LIST,” YOU WILL SEE THAT I AM NOT THERE. “OTHERS” WHO HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND ME RAN INTO THE SAME PROBLEM…NO “CURRENT LISTING” UNDER “MEMBERS LIST.” FOR REJM

*-I WOULD GLADLY TALK ABOUT GREG BLOCKS LETTER, HOWEVER, I DON’T UNDERSTAND MUCH OF THE PROBLEM WITH IT, AS I KNOW MANY MORE WHO ALSO WROTE LETTERS LIKE HIS TO THE COURT. IN ADDITION, I HAPPEN TO KNOW GREG BLOCKS “SPELLING AND GRAMMAR” HABITS, (LIKE MINE USING CAPITALS AND QUOTES), AND AFTER SEEING OTHER “LETTERS,” I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT ALTHOUGH IT REPRESENTS GREG’S TRUE FEELINGS, IT WAS NOT COMPOSED, NOR WRITTEN BY HIM. ALSO, I AM KINDA IN THE PLAN OF THINGS TO GO FORWARD AND HAVE BOTH MR. HUNT’S AND MR. HUNTERS’ VIEWS BE FAIRLY AND EQUALLY DISTRIBUTED AMONG THE “SITES,” ALTHOUGH I THINK THAT MR. HUNT HAS BEEN STRAIGHT FORWARD IN HIS CCW STATEMENT(S), WITHOUT ANY HUMMMS AND HAAAAS, THAT AS A ATP PILOT I DON’T REALLY UNDERSTAND FROM MR. HUNTER. I WILL RESPOND, IF NOT BANNED, SHOULD SOMEONE, EVEN SIR GREG, MENTION THIS LETTER. I WOULD NOT HOLD MY BREATH ON SIR GREG DOING THAT!!!

THANK YOU BOTH FOR THE BIT OF EDUCATION, AND I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING BOTH OF YOU AT MY PLACE EARLY NEXT YEAR TO MEET WITH BILL HUNT, OATH KEEPERS, JOHN LOTT, AND A FEW “CELEBRITIES” TO DISCUSS THE CCW ISSUES.

    RJ,

There’s a glitch in the software. A few other members have had the same issue not showing up on the member list so its not just you.

Is it just me? Why are these guys here airing what they believe to be transgressions? Surely if there was open discourse over at CalCCW they wouldn’t be talking here. I went over to CalCCW and the pure unadulterated hate of all things Bill Hunt is apparent. If CalCCW/OCCCWS/Block guy are all inter-related the only conclusion I can draw is that they are Carona apoligists so no wonder they hate Hunt. He wasn’t going to play ball with them so they looked for someone who would.

Another point is that OCCCWS as of a month ago posted this:

    ” O.C. double-dippers rake in nearly a half million a year
October 16, 2009 by OCCCWS Editor · Leave a Comment
    There’s nothing like sticker shock.

That’s just what The Watchdog gets looking at the total amount of dinero county bigwigs like CEO Tom Mauk and Sheriff Sandra Hutchens collect each year.

When you add up the pensions they collect from their previous place of employment, and the salaries and benefits they accrue in O.C., they’re raking in nearly a half million bucks a piece. (More specifically, Hutchens earns $492,243 a year from her pension, salary and benefits, and Mauk gets $487,805. We’ll break down those figures later in this post.)”

Then a month later they endorse Hunter. Hello guys! Won’t Hunter also be a double-dipper? That just shows to me there is an agenda or should I say a long simmering dispute.

Good observation, for people who are trying to protect a 2nd amendment right they seem to believe in no freedom of speech at Calccw. What makes us think they are responsible in selecting a worthy candidate to help protect a basic 2nd amendment right of the constitution?

*-YUP! AGREED…STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM “CALCCW” ABOUT GIVING ME A PASSWORD THAT WILL WORK….OH…THEY (CALCCW003) DID ADMIT THAT THEY ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE WEB SITE. HOPEFULLY HE IS TELLING THE TRUTH, BUT I WON’T BELIEVE ANYTHING ANYONE SAYS FROM THAT ADMINISTRATION UNTIL IT HAPPENS. IT IS CALL “PREJUDICE,” PREJUDGING FROM PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES. FOR NOW, I WISH THE BEST TO MR. HUNTER, BUT I FEEL THE JOB WILL GO TO MR. HUNT, AS HE HAS MORE EXPERIENCES IN MORE AREAS, AND GUESS WHAT…HE WAS WITH THE O.C.S.D.!

They are a bunch of home dried tools. Nothin to talk about RJ. That’s you name right?

  40. #47 by Travis on December 8, 2009

It would certainly be interesting for someone to post Greg’s letter on CalCCW, but I think they would delete it right away. I’ve read enough posts on that site to realize that it’s all about ego and control.

    • #48 by Tired of Double Standards on December 9, 2009

Travis, you are exactly right. And since Hunt is focused on being a good Sheriff and not stroking Block’s overweening ego, Block and his sycophants have nothing but scorn for him. When can we see the instances of Block reaching into the department to sabotage applications?

      • #49 by Flip flop on December 9, 2009

#2 posted a link I think in that regard which is pretty much what piqued my interest.

*-AGREED AGAIN, 100%…GOTTA “FLY NOW,” BUT THANK YOU ALL, FOR ALL OPINIONS AND NOT GETTING “BANNED,” AS I STILL AM, AS A NEW “PASSWORD,’” HAS NOT BEEN SENT, AS PREVIOUSLY PROMISED…WHY? SIR GREG BLOCK, RICO, AND “OTHERS.” THANK GOD I HAVE ENOUGH “SUPPORT” TO BE ABLE TO GET EVERYONE WHO IS A MEMBER THERE AND INVITE THEM TO MY “MEET AND GREET” FOR SIR BILL HUNT AT MY ESTATE EARLY NEXT YEAR. THERE, THEY CAN ASK, SEE, AND RESPOND TO SIR BILL DIRECTLY, AND SEE THAT HE IS SINCERE. I WONDER IF THE “WHOOSES” OF THE “SITES” WILL HAVE THE GUTS TO COME AND DISCUSS THE ISSUES OF CCW? TAKE CARE, AND THANKX AGAIN….BYE.

I am a stay at home mom in Fullerton. My Aunt linked me to this mess. (one of our relatives wrote a letter that is in the exhibits that are posted)

You call this “hard hitting” reporting? A person writes a letter asking for leniency, (like that is so unusual) to a court of law, conveying their personal interactions with the convicted person and you think that challenges their character? Have any of you read all the letters? Have you seen variety of individuals that wrote them and the positive experiences they had with Mr. Carona? I met Mr. Carona at a charity fundraiser years ago. He was a nice enough guy. Yes, as it turns out he had some MAJOR issues. But he also did some good. I still remember the press conference he held in the Samantha Runnion case. Still brings tears to my eyes. Especially if you knew the details of what that monster did to that poor little girl.

    Regardless.

I got a chance to read all of your bantering. You are the people who want to carry guns around our community? You sound like a bunch of school children! Arguing over access to some gun website and how it was denied. How there is a big conspiracy. Well I am a rational person (don’t know anything about the situation) and I tried to put togther the pieces of the puzzle you would have me put together to make 1 + 1 +1 + 1 = conspiracy and it don’t add up. You all sound like a bunch of women down at the local hair salon.

Who is this RJ person? Is he a campaign manager for Mr. Hunt or something? If that is the leadership behind Mr. Hunt, why would ANYBODY vote for him? Oh that is right, if I can go get access to that gun site, I get invited to his “estate”. Oh wow! Oh my! I am soooo excited!!!!!! I get to go to Mr. RJ’s “estate” and mingle with a bunch of gun nuts!

I don’t really give a darn. You all should read your tirades through the eyes of me. A stay at home mom who cares about the safety of her three kids and husband.

I hope Sheriff Hutchen’s wins and takes all of your little toy guns away! (it is obvious to me you all don’t have the maturity to even own one, let’s not even talk about letting you play Don Johnson in public)

I figure this will be censored out (if not kudos to you)………if not maybe you will all look yourself in the mirror. Grow up already!

Yes Carona had support and it wasn’t that he was a bad guy he just had his hands in all the wrong cookie jars. He made poor decisions. That is what is happening here Hunter has aligned himself with the same people.

As far as your attack on Hunt when you are running in politics you don’t choose who suppprts you. You can only protect who gets close to you.

I am posting a video for you if you choose to watch.

Put yourself in this ladies shoes a lady who was forced to defend her own life with a weapon. What if this was you? Then ask yourself if you want the right to be taken away. This video breaks my heart.

      911: …you can defend your life…

#51=Former Carona lover now Hutchens lover. What does a “stay at home mom” have to do with anything? (she says it twice)

  43. #54 by Greg on December 10, 2009

    Stay At Home,
I think there are a lot of readers who would agree with you. IMO, the comments on this particular thread are very off-topic. Guilt by association, however, is a real concern. The letters to the court for Carona don’t bother me. What does bother me is that it sounds like (only from what I am hearing here – no fact checking) that Block has a certain history (not sure what all it entails – still waiting for more info) with Carona and the way the permits were managed. Hutchens had an issue with Block and the way the permits were issued under Carona. So now Block wants Hunter to win so Block has that access back that he had with Carona…Or so it appears based on comments above. Let’s take a step back and remember the real issue at hand: the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled time and again that all of the rights afforded under the Constitution are individual personal rights which shall not be infringed upon. So, although you may not like guns, free speech, and God (or lack thereof) are all protected personal rights.

Wherever I go, whatever I do, I can always count on my brain-dead followers to bring up ancient history in my defense. Thank you, humble servant, for dancing around my severe character flaws!
