35 Replies to “Noise “R” Us”

  1. It’s a few bar owners raking in loads of money on drunk kids listening to shit music while the city subsidizes the cleanup and pays for extra cops to patrol the area and make easy DUI arrests.

  2. Thank you for this old video of a bar that doesn’t even exist anymore!

It was great to see the huge crowd of 3 people who support this noise ordinance: Tony Bushala, Josh Ferguson (Bushala’s blogger), and Arnel Dino (Bushala’s former council candidate).

    1. And you want this to be the norm? The Slidebar was allowed to do this for a decade, Elijah, although you were in a diaper when it started, sweet thing.

    2. Young Elijah – from observing and listening to your redonkulas comments at council meetings, I’ll admit your words seem to ignite a flutter among your old grey hair followers, the Kennedy sisters, local Realtor Curt Gramble, and those Mr. & Mrs. potato head/suspender-wearing Kanucks. But to the rest of the halfway intelligent folk out there in TV land, it’s highly obvious you’re pretty damn wet behind the ears. If you have an inkling of curiosity in that wimp ass of yours, ask yourself this: why does it no longer exist?

    3. Go out with PD and Code Enforcement before you point fingers. Have you gone out with them? I personally went out with them three different times over the past two years — on weekends and late nights — to see the situation firsthand. What I saw was a system with outdated, vague rules that made enforcement almost impossible. There were no clear decibel limits, no time restrictions, and no consistency.

That’s exactly why the new noise ordinance was needed. It’s not about being against business or nightlife — it’s about fairness, accountability, and giving both residents and business owners a clear set of standards to follow.

All five (current and past) planning commissioners supported this ordinance and worked on this, I’ve served on multiple city commissions and committees appointed by different councilmembers in the last several years, and I care deeply about keeping Fullerton a livable and balanced community for everyone.

  3. Is this what the city staff refers to as “music,” “outdoor entertainment,” or “noise”? No matter what some staff member tries to call it, any normal person can see this is just shitty crap that dumb, young, drunk fucks like to party to. It’s more like a backyard party that happens when the parents leave for the weekend and the teenage kids are left to their own devices. The kind of party where they blast crappy tunes, get trashed, and make a mess. It’s a far cry from anything that could be considered cultured or enjoyable for the general public.

    1. Tajuana is DTF! That’s what Dr. Z & C envisioned for fulas…since Dr. C. no longer lives there anymore, she loves it, dummy.

    2. Shana of the jungle moved for that very reason. She even brought it up. And if she hasn’t already, she’ll likely discuss it tomorrow night when JF challenges her with her own words and arguments for voting to legalize outdoor amplified noise, measured 25 feet from the property line, which is often impossible to enforce, 365 days a year from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM.

  4. I took the train to Fullerton train station Thursday night. Train arrived at 8:30. There was *very loud* live banda music coming from the direction of the new tenant at the SlideBar location, Kalaveras. We thought the timing of the loud music was interesting given the noise ordinances recently passed. I just looked on their website, saw this: https://kalaveras.com/banda-nights-fullerton/

      1. It sounded to me, listening from the train station all the way across the parking lot, to be on the patio. I did not walk closer to investigate so I can’t say for sure. It was definitely live music.

  5. TOO MANY BARS IN FULLERTON !
Even the Alcohol Beverage Commission agrees.
Too many wild drum children, too much destruction and noise !

    STOP

  6. Did the people that overdosed and died yesterday in DTF get the poison drugs from the bars?
Nashville has a big problem with that.

  7. I absolutely agree.
The plethora of bars are no friends to the Fullerton residents.
It is out of control and needs to be reigned in.
The cost to Fullerton far outweighs the revenue.
ACB – Alcohol Control Board agrees.
    Too many bars Fullerton !!
Fullerton has been ruined by past council.
    Such a shame.

    1. No, we want a state that protects everybody instead of lawless bar owners who make a fortune while being heavily subsidized by Fullerton taxpayers.

The Slimebar is the best example of a scofflaw douche bag operation – no CUP and no concern about existing noise rules. But it’s not the last, not by a long shot.

  8. Kennedy sisters borh disrupt Fullerton city meeting again by yelling out repeatedly
“no AI “during one of the call in public comments. The older one seems to be the ringleader . when you see her at a meeting you know there’s going to be trouble
