Don Bankhead The Perpetual Politician

Here’s a clip of the Channel 4 coverage of the Recall signatures submission.

It’s entertaining and sort of sad at the same time. The sad part is the sight of the lonely “no recall” sign in Don Bankhead’s front yard, and of course the interview with Bankhead who seems completely lost, as usual. His wishful thinking about bad signatures is really sort of pathetic, and you might even begin to feel a sort of pity for the old fool. But of course he loses potential sympathy by claiming to rely on the experience of those with more campaign experience that he. The inference is clear enough: Good Ol’ Don is just an amateur, citizen-type elected representative: an innocent octogenarian babe in the woods.

Yes, I am the king!

But wait a minute! Let’s back up that bus and check out Lunkhead’s electoral experience:

1988 – Fullerton City Council

1990 – County Sheriff

1992 – FCC

1994  – recall from FCC (June)

1994 – election to a different seat FCC (November)

1998 – FCC

2000 – California State Assembly Republican Primary

2002 – FCC

2006 – FCC

2010 – FCC

That’s ten elections in 23 years!

Jebus O’ Jebus. Bankhead is addicted to running for public office. He craves it like a cheap junkie craves black tar heroin. This June’s recall election will mark his eleventh election. Now it might be a bit unfair to count recall elections in the mix, but, nevertheless I humbly submit that there is no one in OC more with more political experience than Bankhead. And I don’t mean that in a good way.

  1. I thought Beverly White did a good job reporting this and I’m glad she asked Ron Thomas if he supports Tony and Chris. It cleared some doubts that I had about him.

  2. Gotta love the interior design, especially the couch, vase, and pastoral painting. And he seems to have picked up McKinley’s dress sense. Maybe when he gets dumped from the council he’ll run for the open seat on the NOCCCD board. That would be 12 elections!

    1. For a moment I thought he was sitting in one of saddam’s palaces. It’s good to see our water tax dollars are being put to good use.

        1. Bankhead’s living room does resemble a funeral parlor.

“Madam, we have something in a rich mahogany for your consideration.”

  3. “Frankly, I never expect anything good
from government. And here I refer to the
institution itself. How can you, considering that
its main products are wars, pogroms,
    prosecutions, persecutions, taxation, regulation,
inflation, and assorted idiocy. These aren’t just
accidental characteristics; the actual essence of
government is coercion, and coercion is not a
good thing. Worse, the people drawn to “service”
of the State aren’t the “best and brightest”, as
their propagandists put out, but the worst and
dullest; they’re people who believe in organized
coercion. Who else could even consider working
for such an organization? That’s why “throwing
the bums out” is a pointless exercise in self-
delusion.” – Doug Casey, Casey Research

  4. Come on Tony. Too busy? Come on! Disappointing. You lost momentum. Hire a good political consultant and do it quick. A response on that clip could have won the recall hands down! 🙁

    🙂

    🙁

    1. I’m sure Tony knows better than to give the MSM any clips that can be misused by Ellis & Co.

Here’s how it goes: News crew interviews Tony for an hour, but uses one sentence of the interview out of context to show that Tony is using his money to fund the recall, which by the way is true.

Now, go watch your boyfriend McKinley lie on National TV. http://cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/bestoftv/2011/08/10/exp.nr.kaye.fullerton.councilman.cnn.html

    2. You’d love that wouldnt you?

So you can say “AH HA! SEEEEEE! It’s all about TONY!!! TOLD YA!!!!” then make the whole recall about him …he’s no dummy.

    3. “Too busy today”

Sounds like a busy man with things that need to be done whether there’s a recall or not.

Thompson is the Recall spokesman. They can talk to Chris.

      1. > Sounds like a busy man with things that need to be done whether there’s a recall or not.

Lets not kid ourselves. It was more of a strategic plan than anything else. The 3 stooges are trying their damnedest to make it look like this is all about Tony even though he just wants them out of office. I don’t think he intends to Run.

They probably fed a bunch of B.S to NBC4 and I suspect the plan was to get the Beverly White to ask Tony Bushala a bunch of “hard hitting” questions about his past, his intentions, etc.

It would have been a really nasty interview that would have nothing to do with the recall itself or the incompetence/corruption on the 3 stooges part.

…Notice nothing was ever mentioned about the water tax scam.

  5. We gotta get these clowns out fast and clean house before the boon drops. There is nothing more dangerous than elected leaders that play dumb that are so nefarious. Blue label has really got this one.

  6. The Mystic :
Coming from the ass who wrote many times on this blog that the recall would not be successful.

I’ll drink to that. Now we see a change in behavior right about the time the recall is confirmed.

Your a phony POS RI. Your as dumb as the city leaders.

    1. Oh the irony.

I think Reality Is …is a failure on so many levels but you are in no position to call anyone dumb.

      1. R.I. is a sociopath and he has been a 24/7 paid shill for the FPD ever since Kelly Thomas was brutally and mercilessly murdered on July 5, 2011. Do you like that description better Q and A?? And, by the way, we’ll call R.I. DUMB if we want to. In fact, IDIOT would be even more apropos.

        1. Fair enough, you said it perfectly and I agree with your assessment of R.I but “AntiCorruptionUnit” is in no position to call anyone dumb.

          1. I don’t recall ‘AnitCorruptionUnit’ making any numbskull remarks.
            What makes him/her so dumb?
            Just wondering.

          2. I don’t care who calls R.I. DUMB, because it’s TRUE…. R.I. IS DUMB. Dumbo at Disneyland can call R.I. DUMB for all I care.

ACU has been a champion for Kelly Thomas since the beginning; everyone makes mistakes, but ACU is NOT disingenuous, DUMB, STUPID, nor is he a SOCIOPATHIC IDIOT like R.I.

ACU is not one of the bad guys; he is standing up for truth and for justice for Kelly Thomas, and that makes him pretty SMART in my book.

            1. RI is more than one person and all have the same goal. The goal is to exist to be a shill for the FPD and the DA. One goal is to incite and promote vitriol in attempts to discredit the blog and diminish its readership. Another is to inflame and elevate the conversation to a level that in hopes would cross the line on what could be contstrued as dangerous speech. At any rate, their attempts amount to nothing more than dismal failures as the truth will always stand on its own. Now they will switch gears and become more discreet with their dirty deeds done dirt cheap. We shall keep the cameras rolling and the lights on. Our future, our childrens future is Fullertons Future and vigilance is our duty.

  7. Don Bankhead’s living room is nicely appointed with stylish furniture and oil painting. Working as a fullerton patrol officer pays well.

    1. I love that giant oil painting (most likely a reproduction) with the flock of dumb sheep behind Bankhead’s chromy dome. M-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a. D-o-o-o-o-o-o-n. W-e-e-e l-o-o-o-ve you-u-u-u-u-u-u-u!

  8. If not for Tony Bushala, Chris Thompson and the FFFF, the community of Fullerton would not have known about the misuse of redevelopment funds, the back room deals with developers, the civil rights abuses committed by our very own police force. and Bankhead believes this recall started by Bushala and thompson on behalf of us in fullerton, are nefarious, self-serving, puppet masters.

  9. I’m glad he could speak for all three council members: that they have nothing but the [good]? welfare of the city at heart.

The monotone voice gave him away though. Memorized and well rehearsed.

  10. Don Bankhead needs to know that humility is the foundation of all virtues, and souls which are sans humility, possess no other virtues, only facades.

  11. Q and A :
    Oh the irony.
I think Reality Is …is a failure on so many levels but you are in no position to call anyone dumb.

I am in NO position to call someone dumb? OKAY!!!

    Feel free to explain?

How is one a failure in so many areas and is BRIGHT?

Must be some at City Hall playing tag team or something?

To the others comments, thank you!!.

    1. How is one a failure in so many areas and is BRIGHT?

I never said he was smart, bright, intelligent, etc I honestly think he’s on the wrong side of the fence and it’s one thing to be ignorant but to consistently defend such ignorance for months is a whole other ballgame.

With that said you’ve consistently proven post after post that you have no place calling him dumb. Calling him dumb is like Dick Jones calling Don Bankhead old and fat.

  12. Q and A :
Fair enough, you said it perfectly and I agree with your assessment of R.I but “AntiCorruptionUnit” is in no position to call anyone dumb.

Just for the record I challenged RI to a face to face meeting with the administrators of this blog, challenged RI to debate, and a show of his resume or expertise on cop issues.

To date the challenge has not been answered. So I have little to go on how smart RI is other than some of the obvious BS I can challenge from his writings.

So you must be a troll having fun. Have at it.

  13. Q and A might very well be FAT BOY Dave Ellis who thinks I am really Jim Erwin from San Bernardino County and a person under indictment. WRONG!!!!

Some might remember that little comment from the other day.

    1. Q and A might very well be FAT BOY Dave Ellis

No but thanks for proving original my point.

who thinks I am really Jim Erwin from San Bernardino County and a person under indictment. WRONG!!!!

      Why do you even care?

If some guy came up to me an called me a purple moon baby from Saturn I’d ignore him and move on but that is just me.

      1. Q and A, I don’t know who you are, but AFTER you have been a champion for Kelly Thomas and fought for justice for Kelly Thomas for the past six months, AS HAS AntiCorruptionUnit, THEN you will perhaps have earned the right to call ACU “dumb.” If you had, in fact, been reading and writing on this blog for the past six months, THEN you would KNOW that AntiCorruptionUnit deserves only THANKS and RESPECT. IF you have an issue with a particular statement that anyone, including ACU, has made, then you should reference that particular statement and state why you disagree with it. However, a blanket epithet, calling ACU “dumb” is very disingenuous, and chicken livered, on your part.

Now, YOU may GO AWAY you little Q and A TROLL. You obviously don’t know the good guys from the bad guys.

By the way, I think YOU ARE a purple moon baby from Saturn. Let’s see if YOU ignore that.

  14. Q and A :

Q and A might very well be FAT BOY Dave Ellis

No but thanks for proving original my point.

who thinks I am really Jim Erwin from San Bernardino County and a person under indictment. WRONG!!!!

    Why do you even care?
If some guy came up to me an called me a purple moon baby from Saturn I’d ignore him and move on but that is just me.

Okay Q and A. I’ll move on now, thank you.

  15. At the 1:50 of the video,”The three of us have nothing but the welfare of the city at heart.”

What a crock of shit that is…………

    1. These boobs equate their own good with the good of the city. That’s what happens when you wear those dopey lapel pins too long.

  16. Let us not forget the little retaliation displayed towards Bushala’s brother on the Hit&Run debacle by FPD brown shirts.

No doubt ordered up by FPD brass to protect their corrupt leaders.

You can bet if there had been a prosecution and conviction on that case, Bennett would have been throwing that out there too.

I am sorry that was not brought up in the interview with Bennett when he opened his mouth and mentioned Bushala.

I would have loved to been the one asking questions of McKinley on the FPD issues.

Funny how they think Bushala spending HIS own money to try and unseat them is a BIG DEAL, but DON’T talk about the thousands THEY spend of others money trying to get into office.

I really think McKinley is the “ringleader” on most of this stuff.

The others don’t seem bright enough after watching most of these video’s submitted by members.

And McKinley is only a notch or two above them in intelligence.

Those who follow issues like this, where ever they pop up, will see the pattern of STUPID clearly displayed by those who get caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

The amount of signatures gathered in the recall speaks for itself on how tired folks are of the BS our politicians play.

Politicians will never learn that insulting people’s basic intelligence will piss them off more than anything.

NOW it’s PAY BACK time and the politicians are still clueless.

Recent national polling says that corruption, and injustice, are at the very top of the list of concerns for americans.
