Hippocratic Oath for the FPD?

You ain't in Mayberry anymore...

Dedicated commenter “corrupt” gave me great idea a while ago about applying a sort of Hippocratic Oath to our police here in Fullerton. They already take an oath of some kind which, based on recent events, doesn’t seem to have done much good. Nevertheless, I persevere in my attempt to get our boys in blue to toe the line – before we replace them with boys in green.

Here’s my oath:

1. First, I will do no harm to those I am supposed to protect and serve. This includes perpetrating no credit card fraud, assault or sexual battery, kidnapping, theft, homicide, or encouraging suicide while in custody.

2. I will obey the same laws that apply to people who pay for my salary and pension.

3. I will not make public statements that are intentionally misleading, or that are outright fabrications.

4. I will not accept free food or drink at downtown bars.

5. I will not fabricate evidence, falsify reports or commit perjury in order to prosecute the innocent; I will not cause others to do same.

6. I will not consider being recorded by citizens in the exercise of my job duties a reason to illegally confiscate recording devices; nor will I cause said citizens to be assaulted, arrested, or prosecuted (see 4, above) for exercising their rights as free men and women.

7. I will not knowingly permit any of my fellow officers to violate items 1-6; I will immediately report any such violations to my superiors. Superiors will do likewise – up to the civilian immediately in charge of the Police Department.

If you have anything you’d like to add please feel free to elaborate, as always, in the comments thread.

  1. I will not kill or permanently injure suspects being apprehended for committing minor or non-violent crimes, even if they “resist arrest” or attempt to evade the police, and even when force is needed to subdue them.

      1. Someone do the math,

A job is available with medical that allows someone to live until 90,

That job is offerded to 1 individual at the age of, lets say 30,

        Then he/she retires at 50,

That means a 20 year carreer,

90-20= 50 years of retierment + medical costs,

(20 year Job+50 years of pension) + [ last year pay hiked by overtime (50%) ] multiplied by 90% =

total years payed out for one transient employee =20+50=70 years acrued for one job

One job = 3 1/2 transient employee and retiree being payed out.

Job offered @ average pay of $60’000 starting

20 times $60,000+(60,000 times 50% last year over time)=$1,230,000 for one individual

        $1,230,000 + (3.5 living people times $1,250,000)= $5,625,000

        $5,625,000 * 15% tax= $6,468750 plus inflation bla bla bla.

        $6,500,000 divided by 20 years = $325,000 for
Actual cost for that local gov. job.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

          1. THAT CRAP NEEDS TO BE STOPPED. THESE PETER PRINCIPLE IDIOTS WHO ALREADY ROSE TO THEIR HIGH LEVEL OF INCOMPETENCE IN ONE AGENCY AND THEN TAKE THAT INCOMPETENCE TO A NEW ONE IN ORDER TO GET A NEW PENSION OR ADD TO THE ONE THEY ARE ALREADY GETTING?

RANDY ADAMS, THE BELL POLICE CHIEF HAS DIPPED FIVE TIMES IN THE RETIREMENT POT. CLAIMING A DISABILITY RETIREMENT FROM SIMI VALLEY PD AND THEN GOING TO BELL? THIS CLOWN NEEDS TO HAVE WORKMAN COMP FRAUD CHARGES BROUGHT AGAINST HIM. MOONBEAM DIDN’T DO ANYTHING WHEN HE WAS INVESTIGATING BELL. WE NEED KAMELA HARRIS TO FOLLOW THROUGH!

    1. I will not accept payments for multiple pensions making my neighbor (the doctor) envious of me.

  2. I will not twist a suspect’s arm up so hard that searing pain causes a reflex reaction which straightens his arm out. If I do, however, I will not shout “stop resisting” knowing full well he isn’t. If I do, I will not then perjure myself in front of judge and jury and claim that he resisted arrest.

  3. I will not pull over Mexican men under the guise of having a license plate light burnt out, something obscuring their view, or “suspicious looking” baldheads. Nor will I humiliate them by having them sit on the curb with their hands folded while I search the car without probable cause.

  4. 8. I am a first and foremost a public servant to all citizens, I will gladly lay down my life to perserve life as I am called to a higher standing. I realize that by serving others I am exalted to a position of honor and respect as I seek to become the combination of justice and servanthood personified.

    1. You do see that these 5 watched and let one of their own lay kelly’s life down in a pool of blood?

      How is that honorable?

Also, public servants don’t hold the patent on being of service to others. Many civilians practice being of service without medical, vacation, or a pension.

these Public servants are way over payed for the the service they did for Kelly.

      Ron thomas for D.A.!

      1. Anonymous, my post is supposed to promote how things SHOULD be….isn’t that the assignment?

  5. I will read the constitution and re-read the constitution and realize that the citizens of Fullerton are not my enemies but rather my brothers and sisters and fellow AMERICANS. I will look my wife, children, and family in the eyes and will realize that I will treat others and I would want my own to be treated. I will realize that it takes more courage to do what is RIGHT THAN WHAT IS WRONG.

      1. IF Ron thomas ran for D.A. I would vote for him in a heartbeat.

It could turn out that the internet may fuel a campaign election that could install the right men for the job with new policies that change everything.

        1. We need men that think on a higher plane, that have control of their rage, Who are tough and compasionate at the same time, Not men with lack of control, with simple minds, with canned answers, but with soul, bravery, humility.

      2. We know you enjoy it. That’s why you became a cop. Thing is, that kind of psycho sadistic bullying mentality is the first thing we’re going to look for when we clean the scum our of OUR police department. That’s right OUR. We pay your salary, loser. But not for long.

  7. Good stuff here.

I would suggest a requisite, reasonable level of responsibility on our part plays an essential role in this equation, if we truly want to repair our broken system.

    Civility is a two-way street.

    Actually, it’s a multi-way street.

Our constitution guarantees us certain “unalienable rights.” These are our Rights, and they are precious and rare.

We have the right to speak our minds, we have the right to associate freely, we have the right to refuse unlawful search and seizure, we have the right to move freely within our communities and we have the right to be safe in our homes.

These rights are being impinged upon and violated by LE and government, no doubt about that. No doubt.

    But think about this:

Citizens don’t have the right to get drunk and go careening around in their cars, but they do it anyway.

Citizens don’t have the right to engage in boozy street fights, but they do it anyway.

Citezens don’t have the right to rape, but they do it anyway..

Citizens don’t have the right to steal, but they do it anyway.

Law enforcement is by definition required to deal with those citizens who willingly overstep the boundaries of civility and “break the law.” After centuries of this, LE has devolved into an “us vs. them” miniculture and mentality that will most likely never change. Kelly’s murder at the hands of the FPD has brought this sorry truth to the forefront of the endless public debate like nothing I have ever seen in my lifetime.

I’m not Rodney King. Far from it. I know we will never “just get along.”

I don’t much care for the police and I don’t want them anywhere near me. Frankly, the few law enforcment guys I’ve known in the course of my life were all condescending assholes. I want nothing to do with the police.

In a perfect world, the police would be not only invisible, but unnecessary.

But it’s not a perfect world. It’s a dangerous, shitty world, and we rely on the police to sweep up the dangerous shit.

After awhile, the police see all of us as dangerous shit. This is where we are right now. They don’t trust us, and we definitely don’t trust them.

This will never change. Never. It will likely get worse.

So let’s go forward with the “Hippocratic Oath” for law enforcement. This is a fabulous idea.

But we have responsibilities as well.

    1. Well said. Even in a not so perfect world it ought be that when you walk down the street, you happily tip your hat when you greet a police officer because you know he or she is a dedicated individual that has been trained to watch your back in a crisis.

It ought not be that when you see a policeman, you cross the street to avoid contact because the possibility exists your world may suddenly crash down around you.

        1. Yes, that is the relationship that should exist. This entire episode could have been avoided if just one officer had watched Kelly’s back too.

          1. I haven’y been harrased by anyone of them since my youth, but back then They seemed really cruel, mean.

        2. As always, thank you for posting.

(How do you get on these things so quickly?)

The San Diego/North Park incident happened a couple weeks ago. It was a big deal down here, deservedly.

Have a look at the citizens who rushed to the aid of the fallen officer. They’re us. They’re every one of us.

I’m willing to bet that everyone on this blog would rush to assist a fallen police officer, irrespective of our personal views of law enforcement or anything else. I have that much faith in us, at least.

This, in a sense, is why we’ve rushed to assist Kelly and his unwitting cause. It’s the same thing.

Somebody is down. Someone has been attacked, they’re down, and they need help. Now.

The good citizens of North Park did exactly that. They rushed in and pretty much saved the day.

One of them will bear knife scars on his body forever, for doing the right thing, taking the high road.

Flash forward to July 5th. Kelly Thomas is basically being slaughtered by a gang of policemen.

There was nothing the citizens could do for Kelly, except watch, record, and remember.

And this is what we’re doing, as good citizens.

This is not an anti-police rage page. People have their own agendas and all that, and that’s cool. This is what makes our country so frigging rare and unique.

This is what makes FFFF so frigging rare and unique.

We’re here together because a clot of out-of-control police officers murdered a helpless innocent man. Kelly certainly wasn’t the first, and sadly, he won’t be the last.

But he stirred something inside the heart, soul and guts of people all over the world, and that stirring is growing, daily. Kelly’s detractors try to disparage his name in many ways, but his message continues to advance.

The problem isn’t the police. They’re the target right now, and justifiably so — at least in Fullerton.

The problem is police culture and police corruption, aided and abetted by political corruption at the local level and beyond.

The problem won’t end with the conviction of Kelly’s murderers. It will never end, really, and the sad truth is that the dirty machinations of local politics will likely result in far less than what Truth and Justice deserve. I hate to say it, but it’s true.

40 years ago, I would’ve refused to say it. I love you guys because you still refuse to say it. I’m with you, all the way.

The problem in Fullerton is systemic corruption. The world is watching, but keep it local.

          You can win this.

          1. Local corruption has a thread of transient, pass the buck to the next guy while i retire, element to it. Local civilians need to cut off the funds to this corruption. A 51st state for So Cal. is looking really good right now. Rewrite some new state tax laws, so put something on the drawing board people.

    2. When you come back to town I’d encourage you run for office. We are way overdue here for hearing intelligent discourse of local issues.

        1. Keep it local. Look inward. Stay on topic. The world is coming to you, Fullerton. There’s no need to reach out now. Just keep doing what you’re doing and the truth will out.

    3. WE HAD BEST START PROTECTING OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, AND WE START BY CLEANING OUT GOV’T THAT HAS BEEN CORRUPTED, STARTING WITH THE WHITE HOUSE.

  8. 11. I will keep my body in the same physical condition that was required of me to become a peace officer. If my physical condition deteriorates below the standards, I will be placed on unpaid leave until I can pass the physical condition tests again.

  9. This blog does a disservice to Kelly Thomas. Comparing anyone to Nazis (like you did in a previous post) does not lead to a prolific discourse; quite the opposite – the ignorant nature of the accusations tend to discredit whatever cause you appear to be arguing for. It makes it look silly.

    1. Nazis killed and beat the mentally ill… just like FPD. Nazis followed their own laws and their members were protected by those laws…. Just like FPD… Police Officers Bill of Rights sets them apart and allows them to do things other citizens cannot… just like the Nazis…. heck cops are even dressing in milatary gear.. just like the Nazis…. you do not have to look hard to make comparisons.

      1. If I remember right, in history class, the teacher called it fascism.

And yes the nazis did kill people without a trial for not being useful. They had full reign in those decisions.

        And America kicked Germany’s ass.

What did Xerxes mother ask him when he returned from Thermopylae?

What did Xerxes say to his mother after returning home defeated by the Spartans?

“Who are these Greeks / who is their king?”

“Mother, they have no king they fought as free men.”

Death is softer by far than tyranny.
        Aeschylus

        1. “Who are these Greeks / who is their king?”

“Mother, they have no king they fought as free men.”

Death is softer by far than tyranny.
          Aeschylus

          Pertinent quote. Loved it.

      2. Nazis is much far better than Fullerton police department and city officials are cowardice, shameless, lying to their teeths, incompetent, thugs and brainless.

      1. Paranoia seems to fuel this stuff. Isn’t steroids, selfishness, meth, mammas boys that weren’t allowed play with the other kids and fear of the dark all at the root of all this.

I heard fear should be classed with stealing because it does more harm.

        1. THESE CLOWNS ARE INDOCTRINATED IN THE ACADEMY WITH DIVERSITY TRAINING, YOU KNOW TOUCHY FEELY GARBAGE, US V THEM MENTALITY, COMMUNITY POLICING SCAM, WHICH IS NOTHING MORE THAN THE INFILTRATION OF COMMUNISM INTO OUR COMMUNITIES.
WHEN YOU HIRE BRAIN DEAD IDIOTS FRESH OUT OF THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEMS. THE ACADEMY FINISHES OFF THE INDOCTRINATION PROCESS.
THESE CLOWNS GETLITTLE NO CRIMINAL LAW TRAINING, EVIDENCE OR PROCEDURAL LAW, OR ANYTHING ON THE CONSTITUTION. THAT IS WHY IT IS SO EASY FOR THEM TO VIOLATE OUR CIVIL RIGHTS, THEY ARE FLAT OUT IGNORANT!
I WAS TAUGHT IN COLLEGE BY OLD SCHOOL COPS THE REAL WAY TO POLICE, AND THESE GUYS AREN’T DOING IT THE WAY THEY SHOULD BE.
THESE INCOMPETENT LAW ENFORCEMENT LEADERS ARE ALL PART OF THE SOCIALIST/PROGRESSIVE/COMMUNIST/MARXIST SCHEME TO INFILTRATE LAW ENFORCEMENT TO FURTHER THE NEW WORLD ORDER GOV’T. THIS IS NOT BEING PARANOID. IF YOU DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH, YOU WILL FIND THIS TO BE TRUE.

SOCIALISTS HAVE INFILTRATED AND CORRUPTED EVERY GOOD THING IN THIS COUNTRY, FROM OUR RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS, OUR SCHOOLS, OUR LOCAL GOV’TS, TO THE WHITE HOUSE. THEY RUIN EVERY GOOD THING THEY TOUCH, BUT, WHAT THEY HAVE PLANNED FOR US, WILL BRING EVIL AND NOTHING GOOD FOR US…

LOOK UP THE BILDERBERGERS, THE ROTHSCHILDS, THE FABIAN SOCIETY, THE ILLUMINATI. YOU WILL SEE WHAT IS BEING PLANNED FOR US, AND IT IS NOT PRETTY.

          1. Ultimately In the near future, world oil reserves will diminish to the point everyone will have to scramble for what’s left on the surface. Word on the street is there will be a new assigned period date, pre oil, and post oil.
Looks like the last 100 years was a human evolutionary fluke when oil was discovered.
It is interesting that the discovery of oil saved the whales, Train engineers used whale oil to lubricate their parts, and after that the industry took off.
Now that oil is harder to produce it looks like 20th century luxuries will soon be a thing of the past.
It turns out that the true value of a gallon of gas can be compared to how much your car weighs, how many miles to the gallon it gets, and how long it takes a person to push that heavy son of a bitch down the road,
            Here is the math:
            My vehicle= 6500 pounds.
It gets 20 miles a gallon.
I can push it 20 miles at a speed of maybe .25 miles an hour, give or take the hills around here.
            20 miles÷.25 mile per hr=80 man hours
So a gallon of gas actually costs 2 weeks of labor.

  10. I will not go out into the field with a chip on my shoulder and an ego the size of my gut after feasting at Duncan.

  11. I will submit to “taser enlightenment training” BEFORE I am issued a taser in order to fully understand the impact of repeatably deploying this device.
    Empathy is my friend.

  12. I will submit to “inmate enlightenment training”
I agree to this training as the first step of my employment. I will serve a 2 week sentence in the jail of my future jurisdiction. My identity as a future officer will be anonymous as I discover first hand the experience of being a inmate.
    Empathy is my friend.

    1. Usually when a person is raised by a mother, that coddles, that cuts the crust of the PB&Js, that tells her son/daughter their perfect all the time, and keeps them sheltered from the other kids, we get these monster scared of the public, overreacting, terrofied they are going to get hurt, and without remorse, beleive they are completly justified.

Just when we think we have reached the pinnical of civility, the bitch is back in heat again.

  13. Who needs all this verbiage? Just adopt the Honor Code of the U. S. military academies:

“We will not lie, cheat, or steal, nor tolerate among us those who do.”

  14. I think this is pretty good. Don’t know about the free food and drink at downtown bars. Obviously, if cops are wining and dining for free, that’s excessive. But it’s a bar-owners perogative to give out comp drinks (they just have to make sure that sales tax is being recorded on the cost, not the retail value), and bar owners do want to be on good terms with the cops, because those cops are often called to break up nasty fights or detain violent suspects. Now, of course, any bar that is sleeping, figuratively, with the cops and uses that relationship to get special favors, or, let’s just say, engineer the apprehension of a homeless person they don’t like, is way out of line.

  15. Hey, since the murder of Kelly Thomas, I have been feeling guilty about my neglect of the homeless in my city (Fullerton). So I went in search of my favorite homeless guy, Mike, I wanted to give him a little $$$ today.

I went in the liquor store on the corner to ask if they’d seen Mike. The clerk said Mike was not allowed in the store anymore. He said he had no problem with Mike, he did not cause problems in the store. But the FPD contacted the owner of the store and told them there had been complaints about Mike, and they did not want him to be allowed to purchase anything in their store. So the owner told his employees not to allow him in, HE SAID HE DIDN’T WANT TO LOSE HIS LICENSE.

I realize that businesses have the right to refuse service to those who offend them. But Mike was not offensive in their store. THE OWNER WAS INTIMIDATED BY FPD.

Another example of corruption on the part of FPD. And don’t tell me about how Mike goes to the liquor store to buy alcohol. I don’t care. The point is —– FPD IS CORRUPT.

      1. SOME OF THESE COPS ON THIS BLOG HAVE BEEN DRINKING UP THEIR KOOLAID TOO LONG! IF YOU REPEAT A LIE OFTEN ENOUGH, IT SOON BECOMES THE TRUTH.

    1. This has got to be bullshit. If a person is 21 or older and, in the eyes of the employee, not visibly intoxicated, a business can sell anything to that employee. Now, there is a weird sub-section of the ABC Code that says any business that sells to a “public drunkard,” can be fined, but if Mike is buying cigs, or a soda, or some flaming Cheetos, it’s absolute bullshit that the PD Could come down on a business, unless that business owner is so afraid of his own shadow that he would believe anything the cops say. In which case, fuck that owner.

    2. It is corrupt to the core and has been for decades. If only you all knew the crap that has gone on there.

  16. Hal :
Who needs all this verbiage? Just adopt the Honor Code of the U. S. military academies:
“We will not lie, cheat, or steal, nor tolerate among us those who do.”

    You left out Murder.

  17. You are all poor excuses for human beings. Thank God there are only a few of you. You can’t get enough support here in the city so you have to contract out to “professional” protestors. Good luck with your “cause”, because everyday it becomes clearer you forget what it is.

    1. Yeah, right, douche. There are so “few” of use outraged human beings that this story has appeared in every major newspaper, local and regional TV, and even national outlets like CNN.

      You fail… miserably…..

By the way, the only poor excuses for human beings would be those who could beat an unarmed man to death and then brag and high-5 about it afterwards. Correction — them AND those who support/lie/change the subject on this blog for them (i.e. — you, assclown).

    2. Yeah, right, douche. There are so “few” of use outraged human beings that this story has appeared in every major newspaper, local and regional TV, and even national outlets like CNN.

    3. @FPD Puppet
“You, you, You, you, your, you.”
I see lots of finger pointing at citizens in your shallow mental midget post. You are a glowing asset to the injured FPD morale. keep up the good work lackey.

      1. All I see is a group of whackos and masked nutjobs. No citizens. No city employees. No cops. No DAs. Hope you are having fun.

        1. I’m having a blast, and I’ll continue getting under your skin until the officers involved are all rotting in Pelican Bay. I’ll tell some of my clients to say “hi” when they see you.

BTW, I’m a life-long citizen of Fullerton. Not sure where you got the idea that any of us are “professional protesters”. We’ve had several elected officials show up, as well as uniformed police officers out there supporting us.

Sounds like you FPOA trolls are at it again, spreading nonsense and lies on the internet. Same old song and dance.

At this point, anyone still defending the FPD is either a cop, a sadist, a fascist, or some combination of the above. You’ve shown your true colors and the rest of us are finally onto you.

You’ve completely lost our trust and support. If you hope to regain that trust, you’re going to have to stop denying that we have a serious problem. Admit your mistakes, make the necessary changes at the department, and brace yourselves for the backlash (not a threat, Doug Irving).

          1. No one said “NO” citizens. Majority are not citizens and your message is not the message of the majority. If it was, you would have the whole city out there on Saturdays. You don’t. Just the activists. Open your eyes. Reality is….your group is getting old to the community.

        2. Oh we’re citizens alright. You haven’t been paying attention. But we’re not union-entitled self-important sadistic GED buttholes.

  18. I will not retire, then run for city council while being so uninformed after sitting through 15 years of meetings that I don’t know what a library acquisitions budget is.

  19. There are only a few of you and it isn’t national news and you were played and manipulated by the media. What happened to your leaders J and K of that hype stirring radio station ?
Your lifetime of bad decision making and habitual lack of self discipline isn’t the fault of the rest of the productive, contribting , thriving society around you. The rest of the population support our public servants. Your attitude of entitlement , and unearned respect is a disease. If you want to help so much ,open up a shelter for cardboard sign holders, addicts and the mentally ill and nurture them the rest of your life. Pragmatism is great until you run up against something you can’t tolerate.

    1. “Your attitude of entitlement , and unearned respect is a disease.”
I would say this is more fitting description for the undeserved greedy police (public employees) unions and the corrupted DA offices.

    2. I hate to break it to you, but you don’t speak for “the rest of society.” You speak for the angry, dim-witted apologists of those who brutalize citizens under the color of authority.

Also, I though CNN was a national network — who knew it was just a local little community access channel in Fullerton?? Wow…. (and by the way, a “few” literally would mean like 4, 5, or 6 people… are you THAT stupid? Seriously??)

    3. I hate to break it to you, but you don’t speak for “the rest of society.” You speak for the angry, dim-witted apologists of those who brutalize citizens under the color of authority.

    4. @Mike,
Quote: “The rest of the population supports our public servants.”

Unlike you, WE, the protesters of Kelly’s murder, don’t BLINDLY follow ANYONE!

What I can’t “tolerate” is YOUR INTOLERANCE for people who are different from you. What I can’t, and won’t “tolerate,” is the willful murder of an unarmed, defenseless, man.

You are COMPLETELY CLUELESS about mental illness!! Your arrogant attitude and your complete and total lack of compassion and empathy for your fellow human beings are inexcusably amoral and appalling!!

MORE never ending excuses for beating an unarmed man to death??

FPD officers murdered Kelly WHILE he was fully compliant, not resisting, and motionless, (as motionless as could be expected from someone who is writhing uncontrollably in pain and agony after having his skull slammed into the concrete curb and being kicked, Tased and beaten.)

And, Kelly was unabatedly and violently assaulted while he was screaming for mercy, while he screamed for God and for his dad to HELP, HELP, HELP!, while he was lying flat on the ground, while he was being sat on by three officers who Tased him repeatedly, while he was kicked, beaten with nightsticks, and at least twice knee dropped on his face and throat, while he was surrounded and beaten by 6 armed, bullet proof vest wearing officers, who were most likely amped up by Roid rage.

The beating continued even AFTER Kelly was motionless and unconscious.

STOP blaming the victim. The officers did NOT follow proper arrest and control techniques. It is NOT a proper arrest and control technique to beat and restrain someone’s head.

Your pathetic attempts to justify the horrific murder of Kelly Thomas just go on and on and on, ad infinitum.

Only the guilty parties to this grievous crime give any credence AT ALL to your pathetic defense of the indefensible. .

Sir, with a little luck, there is nothing wrong with you that some good old fashioned education can’t remedy. Please get to work on that right away.

P.S. MY “attitude of entitlement and unearned respect?” Please, you have NO IDEA what you are even talking about. Don’t even go there.

        1. You ought to thank Tony Bushala (a real Hero, BTW – not a swaggering Taser-totin’ bully)) he let’s you post you idiotic 6th Grade gibberish on HIS blog.

        2. Do you mean Tourette’s?

Turrets. Nice. Wow, the more they support Fullerton cops, the dumber they are. It’s like a .9 correlation. Look that up Einstein.

        3. Oohhh, So, I guess that means that you are you going to: Threaten me? Bash my skull into the concrete curb? Kick me in the ribs with your boots? Beat my head with batons?

Taser me repeatedly while 3 of you are on top of me? Murder me while I scream for mercy and while I scream in agony and horror for God and my dad to help me??

Use deadly choke holds on me so that I can’t breathe? After I am unconscious, knee drop me with your full body weight 2x crushing my neck and face?

Taser me some more while I am unconscious? Bludgeon me in the head with your Taser until blood spurts out of my head? Continue beating me until I go into a coma and die??

Gee, you really seem to have all of those felony assault and battery techniques down pat, don’t you?? I understand that you are a REAL EXPERT with real life experience in murder.

It’s a shame that you didn’t learn how to spell and read nearly as well as you learned how to murder an innocent, disabled person.

With your lack of spelling skills, you probably also have great difficulty in reading; therefore, the extra practice you get from reading my posts will be very beneficial for you, in more ways than one. I’m doing you a big favor; I’m looking out for your best interests! And, don’t worry your little heart!! There will be NO EXTRA CHARGE for my extra tutoring hours!!

I realize that you never really understand anything the first ten times you read it, so I have to be extra patient with you and repeat myself often. Don’t worry, I’m very patient. I can repeat myself ALL DAY LONG, just for your benefit.

Don’t worry though; I won’t bother posting information that is above your level of comprehension.

It’s just really a shame that you didn’t learn how to spell and read nearly as well as you learned how to murder an innocent person.

Oh well, you’ll have plenty of time to learn to read when you are in prison. I hear they have lots of good law books there that you can check out. Happy reading!!

        4. says the dude that posts the same posts under like 5 different handles. What’s your problem? multiple personalities and all of them assholes?

    5. “There are only a few of you and it isn’t national news…”

I just Googled ‘kelly thomas beating’ and hit ‘news.’ I was provided links to more than 3,000 kelly thomas beating news stories, and that was just on the first page. As much as many would like to have seen it kept under the rug where it was initially swept, this is a very big news story.

    6. “Your attitude of entitlement , and unearned respect is a disease.”

Wow! The cops psychological profile. It’s that GED mentality.

    7. Hey, the overpaid public servants we call cops are complaining that the rest of us like “entitlements.” that’s rich.

  20. – I will not use illegal HGH steroids to bulk up and cause ‘roid’ rage against the people I am sworn to protect and serve.

    – I will not eat junk-food from McDonalds, Burger King, Jack, In ‘N Out, or any of the other high cholesterol, high sodium and fat, junk food burger joints in the interest of mental and physical health.

    – NO DONUT CONSUMPTION WHILE ON PATROL DUTY

  21. I was eating dinner at the Summit House last month and saw it was packed with cops in Fullerton uniforms. I watched one Fullerton cop eat 2 or 3 lobster tails. He was huge, maybe 6-8 275 lbs he looked like he was on steroids. One cop brought a police dog in and it sat by his feet and he fed it steak table scraps. I heard one of the severs tell the cop that dogs were not allowed in the restaurant. The cop mumbled something about helper dogs and monkeys but he did not remove the dog from the restaurant. I saw a couple empty bottles of wine under the table, but I would not tell who had been drinking them. Maybe the very young women who were eating with these much older men.

The cops turned up their radios and ran out of the restaurant telling the server they had to respond to an emergency. Needless to say the bill was not paid.

    Our server told us the
the cops do this several times a month and the manager was getting tired of it but he could not do anything about it because the city owns the building.

    1. “…the city owns the building.”

Hmm, I looked it up and this is true:

      Owner & Mortgage InfoView Details
      Current Owner: City Of Fullerton

      Tenant Info View Details
Current Tenants: Summit House Restaurant LLC

      1. The city owns the site. It’s supposed to be a park that serves the public, but it’s really just a restaurant with a lease surrounded by some landscaping.

    2. Another made up story. You will hear this stuff on this blog but never in public or under oath. It’s just lies to get people to bite. Same as the 100 witnesses. Made up. Only 5 people saw anything. Bunch of liars and wanna be’s.

          1. You must mean the civil suit because we already know how it played out for the police witnesses under oath in the Veth Mam criminal trial, right? A jury of 12 decided the cops were lying and aquited Mam of all the trumped up charges.

          2. Ha ha .. money to Mam because you LIED… and the people saw it and heard it from your lying azz mouth… oh please, please put me on a cops jury… hopefully yours… bye bye off to Pelican Bay.

          3. Some of us have very overpowering personas and can influence a jury to vote a certain way… we are all not asian chicks who make money giving cops happy endings…. I’ll be the non descript guy who just seems to be there at your trial.. I was jurour #8 2 years ago…

      1. Somehow I think the story is more believeable than the alternative: That this poster just happened to know that the restaurant property is owned by the city, and dropped that factoid just to make the account more plausable. And of course you aren’t going to hear public complaints from the owners and managers of Summit House, under oath or otherwise, it’s a nearly $3 million/year business with over 100 employees, why would they want to take on their landlord, the city of Fullerton, the mayor of which just happens to be the former police chief?

What a disturbing picture ‘Lisa is mad’ painted. Can’t you just see a similar group of obnoxious, jack-booted thugs, feeding their German Shepard scraps at the table of Hymie’s Steak House in 1939 Berlin?

        1. I wrote ‘mayor’ when I meant ‘city councilman,’ sorry for the confusion, but in recent weeks we have certainly seen the extent to which the Fullerton politicos are controlled by the PD. No wonder the Summit doesn’t want to rock the boat.

        2. Can’t you just see a similar group of obnoxious, jack-booted thugs, feeding their German Shepard scraps at the table of Hymie’s Steak House in 1939 Berlin?

Amazing. Across the years, particularly online, I have seen NAZI overused far more times than countable, but the more we learn about the FPD the more disturbingly accurate the comparison sounds.

  22. @Lisa is mad The Summit House manager should speak at the next council meeting. Perhaps hand the Mayor a bill that includes gratuity of 20% and demand to be paid in full.. out of his own pocket of course.

          1. It’s a thought, but I have 20 zillion other things to do right now. (Plus, if I were interested, I shouldn’t be shouting it out here.) Really though, if the Summit House was truly irritated by this, they would say city, you can kiss my a** and we are finding a different location. And we’re also billing you for what your cops did. At least that’s what I would say if I were them. I mean, it’s not the only location in the world to be at. It’s interesting though. And I’m not saying it’s a lie. It could very well be true. If it is true, I hope that the city sends Summit House a check pronto in the morning. Other news agencies who read this blog will probably check into this. I can bet you that.

          2. That’s pretty naieve Kim. Ever heard the term “location location location” with respect to retail business property? According to the records I looked up, the Summit House is a nearly $3 million/year concern with 107 employees. You really think anybody is going to jeapordize all that and say ‘kiss my ass’ to their cops/landlords? Please.

          3. I knew a mom and pop shop in Santa Ana were the Local cops would come in. I witnessed something incredible. These guys would sit in a chair and talk heart to heart with the owners, the owners loved these guys. I could see a strong personal bond with these people like they were family. It was amazing to see an officer with alot of heart.

          4. Kim on August 25, 2011
Yeah, you make a good point and you are probably right. This just all seriously reads like a novel.

Is reality not often stranger than fiction?

          5. Xer :Kim on August 25, 2011Yeah, you make a good point and you are probably right. This just all seriously reads like a novel.
Is reality not often stranger than fiction?

😉 Interesting that this is coming out now though.

    1. Anonymous- I would take Fullerton PD over these Brea faggots anytime. I challenge you to get a positive remark from anyone who has had contact with these Brea punks.

  23. I shall not aide a woman in violating an official judge signed and stamped court order for a father’s visitation with his son just because I got a ‘hard-on’ for his soon-to-be-ex-wife. (really)

  24. Will anyone who actually lives in Fullerton please re-post. Your street address would be helpful, or just a real name, or just an anonymous confirmation that you are registered to vote here….

      1. If you’re the same Anonymous that posted asking for everyone’s address, I’m going to have to inform the police that you’re living in a building that isn’t zoned as a residence

  25. Thank god for FFFF. The manager who my boyfriend talked to was mark or mike Elliott. We got the impression he did not want to have any problems with the cops.

Thank you Merijoe for letting the right people know about this.

  26. “I will not camp on my police motorcycle everyday at Euclid and Valley View and cherry pick out-of-town speeders going southbound on Euclid”

“I will not camp on my police motorcycle everyday at Euclid and Valley View and cherry pick out-of-town speeders going southbound on Euclid”

    Bastards 😉

    1. HOW ARE THEY GOING TO KNOW WHO IS FROM OUT OF TOWN? ARE THEY PROFILING US OUT OF TOWNERS? SHOULDN’T THAT BE AGAINST OUR CIVIL RIGHTS?

      1. Because most of the locals in Fullerton know that “the camper” is usually parked camoflauging himself in someones driveway or he’ll be parked at Valley View and Euclid Avenue….or at least they do now if their smart enough to read Friends For Fullerton’s Future : )

  28. Just to make a point http://www.riflegear.com is a legal business in California that sells police style weapons that are perfectly legal for citizens to own… cops shop there and you can too. Cops do not own the right to bear arms and contrary to popular mindsets you Can carry a side arm in California http://www.californiaopencarry .org it is legal and it drives the cops nuts…. exercise your rights.

    1. We are well trained and versed in open carry. It’s actually not us that has issues with it. It’s the public. They are the ones that call and then we have to make the contacts. It’s a little touchy arriving and doing an approach to make sure it’s an unloaded weapon with no intent, but it’s reality. Some good videos on you tube of some good cops and their contacts already.

      1. IF YOU’RE SO WELL VERSED IN OPEN CARRY, WHY DO YOU FUCK WITH THOSE THAT WENT THROUGH THE PROCESS TO GET A CCW? WHY DON’T YOU FOCUS ON GANGBANGERS WHO CARRY CONCEALED WEAPONS AND WHO HAVE NO FIREARMS TRAINING TO SPEAK OF, THEY JUST GET LUCKY WITH THE ROUNDS THEY FIRE!

        1. I heard Sandra Hutchens took care of that quite nicely. Didn’t she say all of you who got them under Mike Carona, they’re null and void?

  29. We need video of the cops eating lobster etc., at the Summit Restaurant. We pay them too much or is it
    ‘EXTORTION’ ???
I also wondered why the Council Candidates McKinley etc., also had their fundraisers there.
    What a racket or racketeering….

  30. Some really good points have been brought up related to this topic. Is it time for a taxpayers Bill of Rights? Something that will help the police, police themselves? Why are complaints about the police department supposed to be turned in at the FPD front desk? Check the FPD web site. Does anything really happen with a complaint turned in to the FPD about the FPD? What’s wrong with this picture? Is it time that the taxpayers know who has been hired to patrol our streets? What is in their personell file? This is our tax money and our community. Why do we have deviates, hired and kept in place by the good old boy system? Multiple complaints should result in a kick to the curb with no further pay or benefits. That is how it would be in the real world.

    1. Her is an idea,

Create a remote viewing station with cameras mounted to all the hardware in the police force.

Make all the remote viewing hard copied and assigned to a group completely independant of local gov like the internet. and put it in the hands of the people, with free downloads, with pin codes for the citizens.

Pass a law that prohibits any officer from disconecting their recording divices, with a manditory jail sentence if they disconnect or loose the divice or recordings when on duty working the beat or of duty carring a gun.

The force is disciplined enough to do the job, we pay the salaries, so we call the shots on policy.

This would drive the fear of God into them, Keep them focused, and maybe we could have some civility around here.

      1. In the real world, over bearing mothers are pushing their offspring to yoke the public into taking care of the them. Its a maternal instinct thing. There is no shortage of those types out there.

      2. Our resident cop/trolls are going to weigh in and say “keep dreaming.”. But actually serious reform of this nature is entirely possible, fiscally responsible, and a conceivable way of keeping law enforcement on the straight, narrow, and civilized.

      3. No citizen will be stop or detained or asked to turn over any video recording devices that was involved with a police crime or altercations this is personal property any officer who willfully damages a camera shall be held personally responsible and accountable for his illegal actions video recording is not a crime.police can request a copy for evidence if asked.

      4. Impossible. Not even enough money to get cameras in all the cars of most police forces, let alone a complex system like this. A few departments are using the head gear and other mobile camera systems now to protect themselves from false allegations, but the systems are pricey and very cumbersome. Like I said, I love the systems for our own protection. You would be amazed at the lies and false claims that come daily. A few months ago a guy said he wanted to file a complaint because they guys had just stolen $1000 from an envelope in his car. When he found out we had 3 unit cameras and pointed at his car, along with a video camera in the car the whole time, he decided he didn’t want to file a complaint and happened to find the money in his pocket. I love cameras. I just know what reality is in terms of what can happen. Like Pat the Ex Lawyer says, all it takes is a shit load of money and we could have everything perfect in this world.

        1. PEOPLE NEED TO PROTECT THEMSELVES AND CARRY PINHOLE CAMERAS, AND OTHER TYPES OF RECORDING DEVICES.

        2. Soon, everything will be connected to the information cloud. This will be the humane thing of the future. It’s allready happening.

    2. It’s hard to explain to someone with their mind made up about police. Their are actually a ton of good cops out there and good police managers. It’s hard to believe, but most people in police work want bad cops out and if bad cops are found, they are out. I know, hard to believe. I think the issue is what are bad cops. At least 50% of cop encounters are negative encounters. So the people on the other side think the cops were rude, had no reason to contact them, cuffed them too roughly, used too much force, or made things up about them. Now how do you determine what is true and false? Every internal affairs unit I have been involved with has been honest, fair, and impartial. They just investigate and make the determination, true or false. The Chief or whatever is in place determines the discipline. Cops are humans. They make mistakes. They get into accidents, they say cuss words, they make mistakes. Every human mistake should never be punishable by termination. In some activists eyes, they should be fired no matter what. Finding that fair ground is where the police officer rights come into play. Without them, there would be no fairness when it comes to the discipline. I have seen very harsh discipline, I have seen light discipline. Most has been consistent and in line with the offense. Bad cops with multiple violations, or a pattern of issues, will eventually be fired. I think the system seems fair, and people are fired and punished all the time. I just think most people on this board think every cop should be fired the second they make a mistake. Reality is that just isn’t going to happen and the protections are in place for that not to happen. That’s why it’s also so hard to get into a cop’s personnel file. You have to go all the way to court, have a meeting with both attorneys and the judge, just over the right to see portions of a cop’s file, and those portions will only be something related to the crime he is testifying too. Complex process.

      1. Wow, that’s some pig in a tuxedo.

Yeah it is pretty hard to believe cops are mostly good and want the bad apples weeded out. It’s particularly hard to believe when it’s accompanied by ‘you’re fucked, no one cares and nothing will change so suck it and have fun wasting your time fighting invincible cops.’

        1. Yep. This would be a fairly strong argument IF the same person hadn’t already argued that Fullertonians all want the homeless removed, that Kelly Thomas got what was coming too him, that all the concerned citizens on this blog were wackos, and that the system is working absolutely fine and that we are powerless to change it anyhow.

          1. Talk around. You think Fullerton citizens want homeless in their city? Come on. I base the Kelly comments on known facts. Anti police activists are whackos. You can try to change things but you won’t succeed. Takes many years and millions of dollars.

        2. That’s the message to the anti’s who will never change their mind even if it was proven all cops are perfect. Reality.

      2. I KNOW ALOT OF GOOD COPS, BUT THE ONES THAT KILLED KELLY BELONG IN A PLACE ONLY GOD CAN PUT THEM IN.

      3. I remember whatching the history channel, the Germans would always claim they were following orders. That they had no choice, and America had to go over there and kick ass.

    3. YOU GUYS NEED TO DEMAND A CIVILIAN OVERSIGHT ENTITY AND NOT ONE WITH RETIRED COPS ON IT EITHER. MAKE IT COMPLETELY AWAY FROM ANYTHING REPRESENTING THE CITY! FORCE SUPPORT FROM THE CITY COUNCIL IF NEED BE! RECALL THOSE THAT WON’T!

      1. I completely agree with this. A civilian oversight committee with a bunch of us on it would go a long way to righting the problems within FPD.

  31. fullerton lover :
“I will not camp on my police motorcycle everyday at Euclid and Valley View and cherry pick out-of-town speeders going southbound on Euclid”

Same goes for Rosecrans and Euclid. Got a bs going through right turn red. Just changed red and had too much momentum to stop. Damn donut swallower.

    1. Then maybe slow down? Just changed red. LOL. Its pretty easy to tell when a light is changing. The yellow light. The crosswalk signs no longer flashing. Etc. You got a ticket because you ran the red light. YOUR FAULT!

  32. @#164 Fullerton lover>But they have no Quotas

yea right! more lies no wonder so many people detest cops it is a shame they do it to them selves.

    1. The only ones with anything close to quotas are motorcycle cops. It’s not quotas. It’s if you are out there doing nothing, then you aren’t doing your job. No set numbers. But if you work 10 hours and don’t enforce traffic safety and laws, and that’s your job, and you write zero tickets, zero reports, and zero stops, you aren’t doing your job. LAPD is going through it right now. I guess the answer is who cares, go out and do nothing and there is nothing anyone can do.

      1. Let me ask you something then. I am seriously curious if there are no quotas why someone would get pulled over for the BS reason I did once. As I posted before, I got pulled over once by LA County Sheriff’s in Norwalk when I was on Rosecrans going to the 105 to pick up someone at LAX. I notice out of the corner of my eye this car not simply driving along, but pacing with me. I can not be more serious here. Being that it was Norwalk, I of course turned my head to look (and pray that I didn’t get shot) and it was a female LA County Sheriff’s officer staring at me. Now my registration was paid, my license is current, nothing is broken that involves glass, all lights are fine, so I figured that oh c*ap, I must be speeding, so I slowed down. She tries to get in front of me, so I slow down again to let her, but she doesn’t and in fact gets in back of me, pulls the lights and pulls me over. I’m thinking speeding, I must be speeding. My lights are working, no broken windshield, lights are fine, I’m not texting or talking on my cell, so it’s speeding. I pull over and when she gets to my driver side window, she immediately asks why I’m nervous and asks if I have a gun in the car! (Um, no, it’s at home….) My only reaction was “what??” She got my info and finds nothing to give me a ticket for. Before she lets me go, she tells me the reason she pulled me over was BECAUSE I LOOKED NERVOUS! I swear to God that is what she said. I am not making this up. I told this to another cop who laughed and said, ohhh, how was traffic school, but seriously, that is what she said. Is that a BS reason to pull someone over OR WHAT??? I’m an Orange County resident driving through Norwalk, so I probably DID look nervous. I mean, what if I had an anxiety disorder? That would be no reason to pull someone over. I’m glad I got no ticket, but what the hell? I would really like to know what the reasoning is for pulling someone over for such a reason. Sorry to rant, but that really pissed me off……..

        1. As with speed traps being illegal, so is what happened to you. It is also against the law for agencies to have established ticket quotas!
That deputy was setting you up. She had no probable cause to stop
You. Remember invoke the 5th and never help them make their case against you.
Personally I love turning tables on cops who appear to speed for no other purpose than they could. Pace them and report them. Get unit numbers off roof or light bar. Try to document time, day.for your complaint. Be proactive!

          1. I got her name and reported it but of course it went nowhere. I could have pursued it more, but I honestly didn’t feel like it would do any good. I mean, she could have been smart and said something like, “Oh, sorry, I thought you had a broken tail light but now I see it’s not.” Another family member had a cop scream at him to get out of the car when he pulled him over in LA while he was at work. This family member yelled back that they didn’t appreciate the b*ll s*it tactic of playing superior intimdiating assh*le. (I agree, but at least I was smarter than that and got no ticket.) This person also got pulled over a few years ago by a school for not keeping up with traffic (Yes, he’s now elderly, but still smart.), and he said, um, look at the speed limit sign right in front of us. I’m going the speed limit-they are not. No ticket then. Sorry to rant, but see a pattern?

This is what pisses people off so badly about the police. When we get this, of course we will look at the police in a not so great way! The question is, how can we change it?

          1. WE DO IT BY BEING LOUD AND MAKING IT A PUBLIC ISSUE INSTEAD OF SOMETHING THAT GETS BURIED. YOU KNOW, THE SQUEEKY WHEEL THEORY?

        2. As your baseless assumption and rationalizations are! What a fool! Change watch over there? Put in a sub on these blogs?

        3. Its amazing how much more comfortable you are when you travel with a camcorder of some sort- a small one that is meant for spying works great- i recommend the hands free ucorder $40 bucks – but they make all sorts pen, watch etc just google it- the ucorder sells on ebay-very easy to operate

    2. THEY HAVE NOT QUOTAS, THEY WRITE AS MANY AS THEY WANNA WRITE, YOU KNOW OFFICER DISCRETION AND ALL!

    3. IT’S KIND OF A FUNNY IRONY. LASD HAS A POLICY THAT DEPUTIES WEAR SEAT BELTS WHILE DRIVING RADIO CARS. THEY DON’T. THEY GET HURT IN ACCIDENTS BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T FOLLOW POLICY. HOW MANY OF THESE SAME DEPUTIES WOULD CITE US FOR DOING WHAT THEY DO?

I COMPLAINED ABOUT DEPUTIES DRIVING IN EXCESS OF 100 MPH ON THE 5 FRWY NEAR SANTA CLARITA. WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF WE DID THIS? HE WAS NOT ROLLING CODE THREE, AND HE HAD NO LAWFUL REASON TO BE DRIVING THAT FAST.

MAX SPEED LIMIT IS 65 MPH, THERE IS CASE LAW, AND IT APPLIES TO COPS AS WELL.

REPORT THESE BAD COPS WHEN YOU SEE THEM VIOLATING THE LAW, THERE IS NO DOUBLE STANDARDS UNLESS WE ALLOW THEM.

      1. Seat belts. We should all wear them. We take them on and off 100 times a shift. Many reasons why. Just like the LAPD shooting yesterday, they need to be off on approach. I would love to wear mine all the time but have to weight the risk vs reward.

  33. This case sounds familiar in some ways. Politics, crimes, indictments, investigations, accusations, Chief going out on medical at the same time, etc. Then when it’s all over, he’s cleared and will get his medical retirement. First glance appears all scandal and raping the system? In the end, it was just the haters making it up.
UPLAND – Police Chief Steve Adams’ reputation appears to have been upheld as he seeks a medical retirement from the city.

According to his attorney, Stephen Larson, several allegations against Adams were determined to be “unfounded” and “not sustained” by a private investigation firm.

Adams intends to end his 30-year career with the Upland Police Department because of a heart condition that has kept him away from his job since December, Larson said.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed serving the people of the city of Upland these past 30 years, and I am very proud of all of the extraordinary men and women of the Upland Police Department with whom I have been blessed to serve,” Adams said in a statement emailed by Larson.

City Manager Stephen Dunn hired Yorba Linda-based investigation firm Norman A. Traub and Associates to look into allegations against Adams regarding his handling of a police report taken in 2008 involving then-City Manager Robb Quincey and Quincey’s ex-fiancee.

One of the officers who investigated the incident, John Moore, threatened to sue the city in January 2010, alleging he was passed over for a promotion and was harassed by Quincey and Adams because he would not destroy the report.

Moore has since been promoted from sergeant to lieutenant.

“Chief Adams has maintained from the beginning that he did absolutely nothing wrong, and we believe that the findings by the investigator completely vindicate him,” Larson said.

Larson said he received a copy of the findings from the investigator, George Vanecek.

Allegations of Adams having unduly influenced the writing of the report and improper filing process and retention of the report were “unfounded,” he said.

A third allegation of coercing the destruction of the report and evidence was “not sustained,” Larson said.

Dunn said he could not comment on the outcome of the investigation until he shares the report with the City Council at its Sept. 12 meeting, but he confirmed that the three allegations were being investigated.

“That’s all part of one investigation,” Dunn said. “Those three items were allegations in relation to one investigation.”

There is a second investigation into allegations made by the owners of the Chronic Cantina, which was shut down by the city in 2009 based on an alleged increase in police calls.

The owners of the Chronic Cantina restaurant and bar are suing the city, alleging former Mayor John Pomierski and contractor John Hennes extorted money from them in exchange for allowing them to operate within the city. They accuse Adams of being involved in the scheme.

Pomierski and Hennes were indicted in March on federal charges of extorting money from two Upland businesses, including the Chronic Cantina. They pleaded not guilty in federal court in Riverside.

Adams has not been charged with a crime.

“We have another investigation going on related to Steve’s involvement in the Chronic Cantina lawsuit and while the investigators told me it’s complete, I haven’t received an actual report yet,” Dunn said.

The City Council will review Adams’ claim for medical retirement on Sept. 12 in closed session, Dunn said.

The council was originally scheduled to discuss the claim last month but postponed its decision pending the outcome of the investigations.

Larson said the allegations against Adams have been politically motivated.

“Groundless accusations were made against him by people that we believe were motivated by a political agenda, and the city, as it must, investigated those allegations,” Larson wrote in an email. “The independent investigator has now found the allegations unfounded and not sustained. I have heard nothing but positive remarks about Chief Adams from city officials throughout this investigation.”

  34. Justice for ALL: “And, Kelly was unabatedly and violently assaulted while he was screaming for mercy, while he screamed for God and for his dad to HELP, HELP, HELP!, while he was lying flat on the ground, while he was being sat on by three officers who Tased him repeatedly, while he was kicked, beaten with nightsticks, and at least twice knee dropped on his face and throat, while he was surrounded and beaten by 6 armed, bullet proof vest wearing officers, who were most likely amped up by Roid rage.”

Any human being with an ounce of compassion would read this and be deeply moved. This brings tears to my eyes and turns my stomache. I can’t imagine what the surveillance video shows. It’s got to be gruesome.

This is what happened and what the media needs to relay instead of using terms like “scuffle” and “incident.”

This was an ugly crime and people need to be made aware of the terrible injustice that has been done to a fellow human being.

    Justice needs to be served.

    1. @We Are All One,
If you watch just the small video clip that has been posted on-line of the beating of Kelly Thomas, you will hear Kelly SCREAMING for mercy, and screaming in pain and agony for help. It is absolutely devastating to watch and it will give any sentient human being nightmares; as it rightly should. The guilty will rationalize their actions, minimize Kelly’s pain, and try to dehumanize Kelly. And the sociopaths do not have a conscience. Kelly’s voice calling out for mercy and for help is constantly ringing in my ears and in my mind. Kelly’s voice is still calling out to YOU and to ME and to ALL of us to help him, and to help others like him. Kelly’s voice is STILL calling out for justice to be done, and for the evil doers to be stopped.

I don’t understand how such vile, un-holy, merciless, sociopathic, sub-human creatures are working in the FPD and in other law enforcement agencies. I will NEVER understand how any of those involved in this murder, or those excusing, minimizing and covering up for this murder, can live with themselves.

If justice for the murder of Kelly Thomas is not to be had on this earth- due to the evil, complicity, arrogance or apathy of evil men, I know that they WILL ALL be held accountable by a much higher authority, in the end.

Until then, honest people will continue to bring awareness about what really happened that night to deprive Kelly Thomas of his God given rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Everyone MUST speak up against this evil and do whatever you can, depending on your talents, to bring the evil conspirators to justice.

If we do not stand up for truth and for the oppressed and downtrodden, who will?? Certainly, it will NOT be the evil ones who will root out this evil. It is up to us.

I am sickened by the lack of morals and by the lack of compassion and by the evil dark hearts that allowed such an injustice to occur. I am sure that these evil men who were involved would all feel very comfortable as members of Al- Qaeda, where no value is placed on human life.

If there are some involved, who do not fit the evil profile, then they should immediately come forward and demonstrate that they have a conscience. They should renounce this horrific murder. They should witness against it and they should stand up for truth and justice, no matter what the cost to their personal livelihoods.

If they do not speak out- they will be judged by honest men, and by God, to be complicit. By their silence, they condone the evil, and allow it to continue unabated. God will not allow this evil to continue forever. God will have the final say. God will not be mocked.

  35. Sadly, justice was served. KT made poor choices and his family did not stop him. He reaped what he sowed, even if he didn’t have the mental capacity to know what he was doing. We can’t do any more for KT but maybe we can improve as people to help those less fortunate than we are.

    1. …he reaped what he sowed, even if he didn’t have the mental capacity to know what he was doing…

It had been so pleasant reading this thread until this troll scat dropped.

      Justice was not served!

Oh and his name was KELLY THOMAS not KT. Stop marginalizing him and minimizing his death.

You are a pathetic excuse for a human being, and by your defense of brutality you support it’s continuation.

  36. I’ve been wondering about something for a while now. Was Jay Cicinelli always a psychopath? Or did something inside him snap after he was shot back in the late 90’s? I think it happened back around 1995 or 1996. He was an LAPD officer back then.

Granted, what happened to him back then was horrible. He was shot several times and lost one of his eyes. We can just imagine what that must have done to him psychologically.

The LAPD did NOT want him back. He was put on permanent disability. He wouldn’t have been physically qualified to be an officer anymore. But here’s what I’m wondering…is it possible that the LAPD also realized that there was something wrong with Jay Cicinelli psychologically? I think they realized he was a walking time bomb, and they didn’t want him on the streets anymore.

What would be really, REALLY interesting is if somehow something were to be leaked out about his time in the LAPD, before and after the shooting. I suspect there were at least a few people in the LAPD who must have thought he had serious psychological problems and was a danger to the public. Maybe even a danger to other officers.

What do we really know about this guy? Was he always psychotic? Or was he a normal person at some point, but spiraled downhill after he was shot? I really wish we could get more inside information.

    1. THERE ARE ALWAYS PEOPLE WHO SLIP THROUGH DUMBED DOWN PSYCH EXAMS. THE MMPI TEST IS 400 QUESTIONS WITH 4 HOURS TO TAKE A TEST WITH NO RIGHT OR WRONG ANSWERS. THEY LOOK FOR CONSISTENCY IN ANSWERING QUESTIONS ASKED SEVERAL TIMES THROUGHOUT THE TEST. ORAL PSYCHS CAN BE BUFFALOED TOO. IT IS EASY TO PASS THESE THINGS, ESPECIALLY IF THE CONTRACT SHRINK KNOWS THE DEPARTMENT WANTS TO HIRE THEM.
SHODDY BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS ARE ALSO A PROBLEM. THERE IS A FORMULA I WAS TAUGHT BY ONE OF MY FORENSICS INSTRUCTORS.
FOR EVERY ONE REFERENCE ON A BACKGROUND PACKET, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO INTERVIEW FIVE MORE REFERENCES FOR THAT ONE. I JUST HAD AN LAPD BACKGROUND INVESTIGATOR COME TALK TO MY NEIGHBOR WHO HAD APPLIED. HE WAS DISQUALIFIED BY LASD AND DOWNEY PD BECAUSE OF A POLYGRAPH.
I TOLD THE BACKGROUND INVESTIGATOR WHO HAD BEEN HEARING NOTHING BUT GLOWING THINGS ABOUT THE CANDIDATE.

WELL, I COMMENCED TO TELLING HIM ABOUT THE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WITH HIS LIVE IN GIRLFRIEND, THE LOUD PARTIES GOING ON UNTIL 0330 IN THE MORNING AND SHERIFF’S BEING CALLED. ALSO. ABOUT HIS ALLOWING HIS GUESTS TO DRIVE DUI AND TO ALLOW THEM TO PEE AND VOMIT IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE. THIS IS WHAT THEY WERE THINKING ABOUT HIRING. DO YOU WANT A NEIGHBOR LIKE THIS? DO YOU WANT A COP WHO ALLOWS THIS STUFF TO GO ON IN HIS OWN HOME? NOT ME! WHEN ASKED IF I WOULD HIRE THIS CANDIDATE AS AN OFFICER, I SAID IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS, HELL NO I WOULDN’T.
THIS ASSHAT WOULD BE INTERNAL AFFAIRS FODDER!

  37. Reality Is :Impossible.

So…what your telling me is that there are probably even more video angles of the Kelly Thomas beating because there are video rigs in the multiple police cars that were there that night?

  38. The Inquiring Mind :

The interim Chief for FPD, Captain Cook, ur, I meant, Captain Hamilton said to the media a couple of weeks ago that the FPD squad cars do NOT have dash cams in them. Then he pointed to his hip, saying all officers have these DAR units, Digital Audio Recorders, and he heard the recordings. I asked him, “how many times did your officers tell Kelly Thomas to ‘stop resisting?” As we all know, ‘stop resisting’ is a field cops carte blanche to start wailing on a citizen. He said, ‘I can’t answer that’. I’ll bet you can’t, Captain Cook, I meant Hamilton.

    1. HOW ABOUT USING THESE CAMERAS TO PROTECT INNOCENT CIVILIANS THESE ASSCLOWNS FUGG WITH? ANYONE SEE THAT CANTON OHIO YOUTUBE VIDEO? IF NOT, YOU SHOULD!

    1. LOOK UP JAY SELZNICK, HE WAS IN TWIN TOWERS AND HE WAS AN UNMEDICATED SCHIZOPHRENIC LIKE KELLY. I WARNED THE DEPARTMENT THREE TIMES IN EMAILS THAT JAY WAS GETTING MORE DANGEROUS THE LONGER HE WAS OFF MEDS. SURE ENOUGH, THEY RELEASED HIM BEFORE SENTENCE WAS UP, HE CARJACKS HIS MOM AND DOES AN ARMED ROBBERY ON HER. HE IS CAUGHT AFTER DRIVING TO SAN LUIS OBISPO IN HER CAR.
HE IS BACK AT TWIN TOWERS, MORE EMAILS OF WARNING AND NO ONE PAID ATTENTION..
NOV 8 2006, JAY BEATS TO DEATH A MAN THE IDIOTS AT TWIN TOWERS PUT IN THE CELL WITH HIM.
JAY’S DAD DID EVERYTHING HE COULD TO HELP HIS SON, INCLUDING TRYING TO KEEP JAY IN JAIL LONG ENOUGH SO HE COULD GET HELP FOR HIM.
THE SYSTEM KICKED JAY TO THE CURB WITHOUT MEDS OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF RESOURCES. JAY IS NOW DOING 25-LIFE.

HOW MUCH RESPONSIBILITY DID THE LASD HAVE IN ANOTHER PERSON’S DEATH? I SAY 99.99%% IS THEIRS.

LITTLE SIDE BAR TO THIS STORY, DEPUTIES DID NOT FIND THE CELLMATE DEAD, INMATES YELLED FOR HELP BY CALLING OUT “MAN-DOWN”. IT APPEARS THE INMATES ARE DOING THE JAIL DEPUTIES JOBS!

  39. Reality Is, your last couple of posts concerning disciplinary measures towards police officers actually sounded like you have a heart and are capable of being a good cop yourself. Congratulations on that ‘Scarecrow’, or was that ‘TinMan’? lol. In ’98 my wife (who was suffering from a delusional mental illness) was going to the La Mirada Sheriff’s telling them that I was having an affair with another woman. They said, “So, get a divorce.” Then she went back and told the same cop that I am dealing illegal drugs and contraband. They still didn’t buy it. In fact the officer she talked to, made a special call to me to talk father to father with me, as he had a young boy my son’s age. He thought there was something wrong with her as she wasn’t making sense and confided that while she was telling him all this BS, my then 4-year old son told her angrily, “don’t talk about my dad that way”. I love that officer to this day. However, she got to another deputy with the same department, Deputy Carl J. Anna, a little micro-cop with a ‘small man’s complex’ and he believed everything she said and made my life miserable for a couple of months, along with some of his other punk deputies. I filed a formal complaint with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department for him threatening to shoot me in front of my son. After filing the complaint, I noticed he was stalking me just about every day. I finally got smart and filed a complaint with internal affairs at which time the sergeant taking my complaint asked me if Deputy Anul was having an affair with my wife. I told him it seems that way, because every time she makes a call from her cell phone, he shows up within 5 minutes. After that, the stalking stopped. Fastforward a couple of weeks later at our divorce mediation hearing. My ex invited me over to our condo stating that my son missed me (of course he did). She said to come over and hang out at 12:00 noon. There was a restraining order against me getting close to her and my son (fabricated by her of course), so I checked our court file and noticed a document ‘minute order’ that stated previous domestic violence restraining order is now closed. Therefore, no restraining order in place, so I proceeded to our old condo in La MIrada and as soon as I pull up in the driveway right at noon, I hear sirens. Guess Who? Wonder Boy, Deputy Anna there to arrest me. To cut to the chase, I did a total of 30 days at L.A. County Men’s Central for something I did not do and some dirty work of a punk deputy, backed up by his superiors. That was a Realty, wouldn’t you say, Reality Is?

    1. I think alot has changed since 1998. If everything you say is true and it happened today, that deputy would be fired. The one thing that gets people fired today without a doubt is untruthfulness.

      1. THAT’S NOT TRUE, DEPUTIES FILE FALSE REPORTS AND LIE TO INTERNAL AFFAIRS EVERY SINGLE DAY AND THEY SKATE. WHY IS THAT?

  40. Wrong [email protected] you sound like my ex-husband. He told everyone we knew I had mental problems, tried to get custody of our children. He even told the cops I pulled a gun on him and had me arrested, I did not and of course the cops did not believe me.

I too filed a complaint with the police against false arrest, the internal affairs did nothing to that officer. I filed charges against my husband for rape and theft of my dog but the DA would not press charges….

  41. I THINK GENNACO NEEDS TO BE UPDATED TO STUFF GOING ON IN LASD AS WELL AS THE IDIOTIC POSTS BY FULLERTON COPS ON THIS BLOG.

  42. The only justice for me was I had my side of the story (the truth) published in the La Mirada Tribune, which is now defunct, I believe due to the Sheriff’s department shutting it down. The chief editor, Jay Johnstone was like the FFFF here in Fullerton, exposing all the wrong-doings of their local gestapo unit.

  43. THE NORWALK NEWSPAPER WAS SHUT DOWN BECAUSE IT CRITICIZED LOCAL GOV’T TOO. I GREW UP IN LA MIRADA. KNOW IT WELL.

  44. Ms. Ling :
Wrong [email protected] you sound like my ex-husband. He told everyone we knew I had mental problems, tried to get custody of our children. He even told the cops I pulled a gun on him and had me arrested, I did not and of course the cops did not believe me.

It surprises me that the cops believed your husband, since they normally believe the woman. Just wondering if your hubby was a cop or had some ties with the local police? The profiling target order for cops is:

    1- Black men
    2- Hispanic men
    3- Bald-headed, tattooed & bearded men
    4- Transients and/or mentally ill
    5- Ordinary looking white men
    5- Black women
    6- Hispanic women
    7- White women

Anyone have any revisions to this?

    1. Hardest part of these calls is figuring out the truth. So he says you pulled a gun. We walk away? We go to your house and treat it like you did pull a gun? You say you didn’t. Now what? Switch the stories. It’s hard to figure out the domestic stories without witnesses. In the end, one side is usually pissed off.

  45. fedupwithmorons :
THE NORWALK NEWSPAPER WAS SHUT DOWN BECAUSE IT CRITICIZED LOCAL GOV’T TOO. I GREW UP IN LA MIRADA. KNOW IT WELL.

Did you ever have any negative encounters with Norwalk/La MIrada Sheriffs Department?

  46. WRONG GUY, I HAVE A REP UP AT NORWALK STATION AS A “COMPLAINER”! ASK ME IF I CARE? I DO NOT MAKE COMPLAINTS AT THE STATION LEVEL, I GO THROUGH HEADQUARTERS WHERE I HAVE SOME CONTACTS, ASSIST, SHERIFF AND A CHIEF. THEY GET THE BALL ROLLING ON THESE THINGS. I WRITE MY COMPLAINTS LIKE A POLICE REPORTS, DETAILING EVERYTHING TO THE SMALLEST ELEMENT, LEAVING NO WIGGLE ROOM WHATSOEVER. I HAVE HUNG SOME OF THESE IDIOTS! CITING PENAL CODE SECTIONS AND TALKING IN COP JARGON WORKS WELL!

  47. Nice work Fedup. I wish I had the savvy back then to be more professional, however I was ‘steamed’. It was the first time I experienced this deplorable behavior from law enforcement. Never been in trouble my entire life. Just a couple of traffic tickets given to me by courteous and professional officers. By the way, when this first started, a lady officer from the NOrwalk station called me and said they have my wife and son there and I could come pick up my son. I flew down there only to be greeted by an over-stuffed officer at the counter attempting to serve me with a restraining order. I left without taking it, telling them to ‘f off’ at the top of my lungs. Then when I got home a called the department and spoke to the same lying [email protected] that called me out and told her she was ‘full of [email protected]*’ for pulling that on me.
A week later I get a letter from the DA’s office stating they are investigating an annoying phone call I made to the Norwalk Sheriff department.
    What a bunch of taints!

    1. NEVER, EVER GET EMOTIONAL WHEN DEALING WITH IDIOT COPS. MY THEORY IS; DON’T GET MAD, GET EVEN, AND WHEN YOU DO, DO IT IN WRITING.
I AM CURRENTLY WORKING ON 6 DEPUTY COMPLAINTS IN THE CASTAIC AREA. APPARENTLY, THEY HAVE SOME NEWLY RELEASED JAIL DEPUTIES DOING HEAVY HANDED BS UP THERE TO PEOPLE I KNOW. HAVE ONE COMPLAINT AGAINST 4 OF THEM SITTING IN MY DRAFTS AS I TYPE THIS. JUST WAITING FOR FURTHER INFORMATION BEFORE SENDING IT OFF TO HDQTRS!

      1. I like it. You Are experienced. I think this type of stuff is great. My main advice is base everything you write and do on facts. It’s the stories that are full of 2nd hand and assuming info that lose credibility quickly. The other thing is that a letter will need to be backed up. So if you say John was beat up by 4 cops, John will need to come in eventually and talk to IA.

    2. HOW CAN YOU BE INVESTIGATED FOR MAKING AN ANNOYING PHONE CALL TO A POLICE STATION? BEYOND THE MERE FACT THAT STATION BELONGS TO US, AND IT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. BET THE RECORDING DIDN’T SUPPORT THE ALLEGATION YOU HAD MADE AN ANNOYING PHONE CALL UNDER PENAL CODE SECTION 653m.

      1. I forgot to mention that when I was in the Norwalk jail, a Lt. David Waters approached me and said he was investigating my complaint on Deputy Anna and found no wrong-doing on his part and told me to write out an explanation that I accept his investigation findings and if I don’t, my stay in county jail will be a long one. I wrote on his piece of paper, “I (name) do NOT accept Lt. David Waters explanation as to why he found no wrong doing in his officer’s despicable behavior stating that he was going to shoot me in front of my four year old son, thereby traumatizing him. I believe that’s why I spent 30 days in county. This David Waters is now a Chief Commander with the main L.A. County Sheriff’s dept. What a taint!

        1. I can see annoy and I can see not threatening to kill an officer over the phone or threaten to hurt them, but you can’t yell when you call the police station? Um, people do get frustrated, and being frustrated isn’t a crime.

        2. Reality is- that you are a BS douchebag -just shut your pie hole you fake fatass giving people your fake advice

I will Yell all I want on the phone at a PD you disgusting troll and so can anyone else-look how mr trollface is getting people swayed off th topic of Kelly Thomas- thats what this blog is for

    3. WONDER IF OVERSTUFFED DEPUTY WAS KEVIN GAVAGHAN…HE AND I HAVE GONE ROUNDS…..HE ACTUALLY ASKED FOR A TRUCE! LOL

    4. WRONG, YOU WRITE WELL, SO, I DOUBT THAT YOU WOULD HAVE WRITING UP A COMPLAINT. OOOPS, CAT LYING ON MY TYPING HAND…
FINDLAW, LEGAL RESOURCES, LEXIS NEXIS ARE ALL PLACES TO LOOK FOR STATUTES, CODES AND CASE LAW.

  48. Wrong [email protected] my ex is a General Contractor/builder who had made a lot of money, paid off city and county officials and never paid taxes. His brother works for the border patrol I dont know if that had any influence on the cops.
My ex violated my rights and illegally recorded me. I said some stupid things during the heat of an argument which the cops used against me, basically I was set up and the cops were too stupid to figure it out.

By the way when a woman says no to a man she means no!

    1. MS LOONEY LING, WHY DO YOU USE THAT NON-WORD BASICALLY IN YOUR THESIS? COULD YOU NOT HAVE WRITTEN THAT SENTENCE WITHOUT USING SOMETHING LIKE “BASICALLY” YIKES! THESE PUBLIC SCHOOL PRODUCTS! SEE WHAT OUT TAX DOLLARS BOUGHT US?

  49. Fedup, are you an attorney, or do you work for one? I do know from recent L.A. Times articles that there is a ‘gang’ problem with L. A. County Sheriff Deputies at Men’s Central. There is a 4th Floor gang of deps and a 1st floor gang of deps with tattoos and all. Neither gang likes the other and actually got in a physical gang fight outside a bar in Montebello at their Christmas party last year.

    1. Like I said before, the jails are great or all cops for two years max. Anything more rots the brain. These are the future street cops in the sheriffs areas. OC same thing.

  50. WRONG, NO NOT AN ATTORNEY, HAVE HAD LOTS OF CLASSES IN VARIOUS TYPES OF LAW, CRIMINAL, PROCEDURAL, BUSINESS, EMPLOYMENT AND SO ON IN THE COURSE OF GETTING MY DEGREES. I HAVE ALSO DONE LEGAL RESEARCH AND I HAVE WORKED FOR AN ATTORNEY ON A COUPLE OF CASES REGARDING WRONGFUL DEATH, CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATIONS.
    I LOVE SNOOPING AND WRITING!

  51. AS TO THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT GANGS , YES THEY HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM. THE VIKINGS OUT OF CENTURY STATION, THE THIRD FLOOR GANG WHO GOT INTO A FIGHT AT A CHRISTMAS PARTY LAST YEAR, ARE NOW AWAITING TERMINATION BY THE DEPARTMENT.

THESE GUYS GET PAID WORKING OVERTIME, WHILE THEY SLEEP. THEY DEFEAT THE BAR CODE INMATE CHECK SYSTEM. IF YOU WANT TO EDUCATE YOURSELF ABOUT LASD GO TO: LA OIR AND READ THE DISCIPLINE REPORTS. ALSO, PARC HAS REPORTS ON THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT.

QUITE HONESTLY, I DO NOT HAVE A CLUE WHY ORANGE COUNTY IS PAYING FOR AN OIR. STEPHEN CONNOLLY IS THE EXEC DIRECTOR, WHO CAME FROM LASD OIR, OC OIR DOES NOTHING, BUT THEY ARE AS EVIL AND CORRUPT AS LASD,,,INQUIRING MINDS NEED TO KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  52. YES, GENNACO OR HIS STAFF ATTORNEYS WERE INVOLVED IN THIS, YOU WILL READ ABOUT IT IN THE OIR REPORTS. SOMETIMES, JUST SOMETIMES THEY DO SOMETHING RIGHT.

  53. Thanks for that post Fedup. Did you see the latest (about 15 minutes ago) FFFF post interview with another witness to the Kelly Thomas death beating? I haven’t seen you chime in to that yet.

  54. I HOPE THAT SOMEONE OUTSIDE OF THE PD OR DA’S OFFICE IS ROUNDING THESE WIT’S UP AND GETTING THEIR RECORDED STATEMENTS OR DEPOS.

    1. I’m sure they are. Problem is most didn’t actually see what happened. Most will end up as liars, will never be found again, or their story will be ripped apart under oath. There was only a few actual witnesses.

      1. ONLY LIARS ON THE STANDS WILL BE THE COPPERS. YOU HAVE A PATTERN AND PRACTICE OF LYING, AND YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT.
PEOPLE ARE CHEERING WHEN ONE OF YOU GETS KILLED OR INJURED, HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL? OR, ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE APATHETIC CLOWNS THAT DON’T CARE WHAT PEOPLE FEEL OR THINK OF YOU?

  55. THE REASON TO DETAIN KELLY WAS NON -EXISTENT-THIS IS KEY. THIS IS THE REASON FOR THE DELAY IN THE INVESTIGATION.

  56. The phony 459 to autos was a ruse. It got the maniac cops to the bus terminal under the pretext of someone breaking into cars. Was there a physical description of suspect? Bet there wasn’t. Like another poster stated, Kelly was set up. Kelly was not observed by cops to be casing cars. He was sitting on a bus bench minding his own biz when they approached him. They had no probable cause or even reasonable suspicion that Kelly had done anything wrong.
They touched Kelly in an offensive manner, he put his hands up to deflect their touching of him. He then ran 40 ft from the bench to the spot where he was tackled and pummeled to death.

    1. I disagree. But let’s say some cop told the bar two months prior to call the cops if Kelly is bothering people again. Say he’s breaking into cars.

Let’s say these cops knew nothing of that conversation. They respond to a call for service and detain Kelly. He has stolen property in his possession. These cops aren’t liable for that other info they knew nothing about.

I disagree with the rest. Kelly learned he was going to jail. He ran. He fought.

      1. been paying attention to the news lately? fullerton businesses are hurting pretty bad. You boys really did a bang-up job destroying the town’s reputation.

    2. Then the cops got pissed cause they had to break a sweat running a whole 15 yards and pummeled him to death. Nice work, Nazi goons!

  57. The best thing to do to keep the police in check is to file complaints. The leaders in our community were fed up with the LAPD stopping and searching our community all times day and night. The way we solved this problem was to file complaints. Let anyone you know that when they get stopped by the police for any reason they need to file a formal complaint. The best thing to complain about is the officers attitude or a violation of civil rights for the stop by the police. Don’t belive it if the desk Sgt. tells you its against the law to file a false police report….It is not against the law and is in fact a right to complain about any cop you run up against.

In LA the cops can’t promote if they have complaints being investigated. The complaints take so long to investigate because there are so many complaints. Sooner or later the cops will stop doing anything that might generate a complaint. The cops will quickly learn your community is not worth messing with.

Stand up before its too late!!

    1. False complaints mean nothing and have no impact on promotions. Fake and false complaints are what they are. False.

      1. IF COMPLAINTS ARE PROPERLY HANDLED, OH YES THEY DO IMPACT PROMOTIONS YOU FICKTARD. AT LASD YOU CAN NOT PROMOTE IF YOU HAVE AN ACTIVE INVESTIGATION GOING ON AGAINST YOU. AND THAT COMPLAINT, MOST OF THEM STAY IN YOUR PPI FOR FIVE YEARS. SO FULLERTON, MUST BE SOME REAL KISS OFF ARTISTS WHEN IT COMES TO HANDLING PERSONNEL COMPLAINTS. ALL THE MORE REASON FOR AN ORGANIZED REVIEW BOARD!

      2. FALSE COMPLAINTS? WHO DETERMINES FALSE COMPLAINTS YOU RETARD? ARE YOU THE OFFICIAL COMPLAINT SCANNER? WHAT AN AZZ!

    2. START THE REVIEW BOARD PEOPLE! LOOK UP INFO ON HOW ONE IS STARTED AND WHAT IT DOES, DO NOT LET IT BECOME POLITICAL OR IT WILL BE A WASTE OF TIME!

    3. IF THEY DON’T WANT TO GIVE THE REPORT FORMS OR GIVE YOU A COMPLAINT NUMBER, FILE ANOTHER COMPLAINT. IT’S HAMMER TIME. CALL DON JACKSON AND HAVE HIM DO A STING ON THEM.

      1. LOL you are great. Keep yelling in your house. You are smoking crack again. Complaints are all received and looked into. A review board will just look at the complaint dispo and that’s it. They don’t get personnel files. Good luck. Research em. They are a joke.

        1. ARE YOU REALLY AS IGNORANT AS YOU APPEAR TO BE? THEY ALL HAVE PERSONNEL JACKETS, UNLESS IT’S A MORALLY BANKRUPT DEPARTMENT LIKE FULLERTON IS.

  58. Spoken like a Sergeant at Any Law Enforcement Agency in So. Cal. You Badge-heavy bungholes assume any and every citizen complaint on an officer is false. YOU can’t handle the truth!!!

      1. RealityIs is 80% brain dead. Fact. Deal with it.

        He’s 100% a sociopath. No question.

(I love this style of writing. Short sentences. Strong. Like Reality is. No doubt. He is a god. So wise. Reality.)

  59. I HEARD AN LASD LT. TELL A CLASS OF STUDENTS IN A RCPI ON COMPLAINT INTAKE, THAT CIVILIANS MAKE COMPLAINTS OUT OF REVENGE. ISN’T THAT PRETTY PATHETIC? OUT OF REVENGE? WELL. REVENGE IS GETTING JUSTICE FOR WRONGDOING ISN’T IT?

    1. True fact. That’s why you morons will never have anything to do with the complaint process. That’s why you will never have anything to do with the discipline process either. POBAR is in place because of anti police people like you. People that get tickets complain because they say they weren’t speeding. LOL

      1. Wow, SocioPathIs, you are so dang bright. That’s exactly why we are all here on this website. Kelly Thomas wanted revenge on those nice officers who lawfully took him into custody, so he faked his own death and then filed all these complaints with the authorities. You done finally got to the bottom of this here thing…

That’s why YOU will never have anything to do with the justice system, the legal system, the education system, etc., etc., etc….. because..

“The reality is…” you are a grand idiot (and spineless, horrible human being).

          1. Sad day when they give a narcissistic, sociopathic ass clown a gun & badge, classroom, or ANY authority over other human beings (especially when he values their life as dirt and thinks his is so superior).

      2. By the way, what’s a “true fact?” Would that be the opposite of a “police fact,” you know… the ones they put in their reports whether or not they’re true (especially after getting together with their buddies and conspiring to tell the same lie, a la the Veth Mam case).

        1. I’m not all those things you say. You would be surprised. I agree with alot of the things you believe in. Read my posts. I just don’t agree with forming opinions based on rumors or assumptions.

        2. Truth is a subjective term, the law is subjective, so is the Bible, hence, all are open to interpretation. So, who’s truth are we talking about. In the police academy, we learned that there are three sides to a story….his, hers, and the truth!

  60. There goes another US against THEM statement by higher ranking officers. They may give you a complaint form to fill out if you are lucky, but it will only go into a black whole (round-file) and after 30 days you will get a ‘dear John’ letter stating they found (you guessed it) “no wrong doing on our officer’s part”. Great Justice System, don’t you agree RealityJiz?

    1. WHY YOU HAVE TO NIP AT THEIR HEELS LIKE A TACO BELL WEENIE DOG UNTIL YOU GET THE RESULTS YOU WANT!

    2. THAT’S WHY YOU HAVE YOUR SUPPORTING EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT YOUR COMPLAINT AND NEVER GIVE THEM ORIGINALS, COPIES ONLY!

    3. Not true. I have seen many letters saying sustained. You might think they go into a hole but they don’t. Just because cops are found not guilty doesn’t mean the process is bad. Cops are not guilty just like you can be not guilty.

    1. if they were blocking ISP’s you wouldnt be able to get on the site at all-Fedup has a comment right above you therefore fedup is not blocked

    2. WRONG THANK YOU I HAD A FEELING SOMETHING WAS WRONG WHEN ALOT OF MY GOOD POSTS DIDNT SHOW UP ON THIS BLOG.

  62. MERIJOE ARE YOU SO NARROW MINDED TO NOT COMPREHEND THE FACT THAT THIS POLICE MISCONDUCT IS GOING ON EVERYWHERE? DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND WHY HE IS BRINGING HIS ISSUES TO THE FORE? BY WHAT AUTHORITY DO YOU DICTATE WHAT IS TALKED ABOUT ON THESE BLOGS?

    1. f you Fedup or may I call you moron?
Yeah and so? what does that have to do with the now? the reason for this particular blog is for Kelly Thomas, arrogant jackass, not other police misconduct in other cities or the homeless in America-KELLY THOMAS-fin. – I would think you and you’re cronies would want to stick to that topic since you care so much. But then again, Im just narrow minded-maybe you yentas dont have any other place to do that but here-my bad

we are not here to discuss your legal issues- or your “fun” this blog is about Kelly Thomas only

This blog is not about Kelly Thomas…It is about putting Tony Bushala’s friends in positions of political power for the ultimate financial gain of Tony Bushala an those he selects to run for office. You Merijoe are a pawn in this plan.

    1. shut up you big hey dummy.

You are an ass and dont know anything about my or anyones motives – I could care less about “political powers” or Tony’s friends or any shit like that, Im here to give and get info about Kelly Thomas, which Im doing nicely-
You are a pawn in life-advice: read a book, troll

      1. If you are giving advice then use facts. You are using your backwards azz dreams as to what actually happened.

  65. Hey “Hey Dummy,” or may I just call you dumb-ass…

I am not a pawn. I don’t know Tony Bushala personally or his friends and have no concern about his (or their) political aspirations (if they even exist).

My sole purpose in being here is to gather information (of which there is much more than other mainstream sources) and express my outrage at this police brutality, which I hope is not swept under the rug yet again.

If you want to speculate on Mr. Bushala’s motives for this site, that’s your right, but don’t be such an arrogant prick to think that you can tell the rest of us why WE are here or what we care about (or to diminish our efforts by calling us pawns — in truth, you are the PAWN here for the pro-police brutality, never question authority even when it is hideously wrong side).

    1. He was saying that Tony uses this site to spew lies, assumptions, and opinions about the case, the cops, and then he’s sure to make it run all the way to the mayor and council. The reason for that is if he can get the two to blur the actual facts, he has a chance to become mayor or a councilperson. That’s his ultimate goal. Not to mention payback for some of his recent slumlord crimes and narcotic trip ups.

      1. And this has WHAT, exactly, to do with Kelly Thomas, police misconduct, or the reason that 95% of us are here on this board sharing our honest thoughts and concerns??? Nothing?? Exactly….

      2. JUXTAPOSED WEEKEND ACTIVITY WENT FROM ATTENDING A COLLECTOR CAR SHOW AT LAPD ACADEMY TO THE PROTEST IN FULLERTON. GREAT PEOPLE ARE PROTESTING, SO ALL OF YOUR OVERLY PARANOID COPPERS ON THIS BLOG. THERE ARE GOOD AND DECENT PEOPLE ATTENDING THESE WEEKLY EVENTS.

Way to go Fedup. You were rockin the house, I see, while I was out shouting. You da man!

  67. And Merijoe thought I was being selfish yesterday for bringing up a similar topic relating to Police scum tactics. What a Taint she is!

Merijoe, you are getting irate at the wrong people! This blog is NOT about Kelly Thomas, however, since the Kelly Thomas incident, this has been the main topic. If you recall my posts yesterday that so grossly upset you, and assuming you have a 3-digit IQ and could understand them, I brought up an incident that happened to me, not to selfishly talk about me, but to demonstrate how Police Depts. everywhere lie when they do wrong to people and blame it on the victim and turn them into a criminal. I hope you understand now. If not, go start your own blog and call it “Merijoe Cause I Said So” or “Presumptuous Bleeding Hearts” or just get the hell out of here you ignorant twat!

  72. ANOTHER NASTY LE SCANDAL:
By Robert Faturechi, Los Angeles Times

    August 28, 2011
When federal agents eavesdropped on the telephone conversations of several drug trafficking suspects, they heard talk of marijuana sales, money transfers and cross-country drug shipments.

They may have also detected something far more surprising: a Los Angeles County sheriff’s captain.

Law enforcement sources have confirmed that Bernice Abram, who is in charge of the sheriff’s Carson station, was put on leave after federal authorities notified sheriff’s officials that their captain may have been heard on the narcotics wiretap.

Officials are trying to determine whether hers is the voice on the recordings, and if so, what relationship she had with the suspects, according to the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the case was ongoing.

Abram has been on leave since April, along with her niece, a sheriff’s custody assistant named Chantell White. Investigators from both the FBI and the Sheriff’s Department spent several hours inside Abram’s Carson station Aug. 9.

An FBI spokeswoman declined to say whether the agency is investigating Abram or to provide additional details.

In an interview with The Times, Sheriff Lee Baca would say only that the decision to place Abram on leave was spurred by “concerns presented from outside the department … and inside.”

“I know it’s sensitive enough for her not to be working while we look into it,” the sheriff said.

Earlier this month, investigators from the FBI and other federal agencies arrested people accused of being members of the alleged Compton-based drug ring that was the focus of the wiretapping. Authorities say Dion Grim, the man accused of being the group’s leader, is a Front Hood Crips associate who operated a walk-up drug house in Compton and illegally shipped Xanax and other prescription medications from Los Angeles to Louisiana.

Abram said in a brief interview that she didn’t know why she was on leave. She also said she’d never heard of Grim. Her niece referred all questions to Sheriff’s Department headquarters.

Authorities are trying to determine whether the female voice heard in several recorded conversations with Grim is Abram’s. One source described the conversations as extensive but did not provide details about what was discussed.

Abram has been well-regarded in her career at the Sheriff’s Department. She joined more than two decades ago, and in 2009 she took the helm of the Carson station, leading some 160 deputies and serving as the city’s de facto police chief.

Grim, in his mid-30s, is accused of controlling sales, mostly of marijuana, at a notorious walk-up drug house at 927 W. Stockwell St. in Compton. His organization also allegedly had operatives in Louisiana who sold prescription pills there and funneled funds back to Grim.

During one raid of the drug house, owned by Grim, so much marijuana was flushed that almost 150 grams of pot stayed clogged in the toilet bowl, according to law enforcement records.

Grim is also an employee at a trash collection and recycling company.

In one incident, an associate of Grim’s was pulled over on the 10 Freeway with a duffel bag from Waste Management, the sanitation company where Grim works. Law enforcement records say the black bag contained 4,200 Xanax pills and 13 single-pint bottles of codeine with promethazine, also known as “sizzurp” or “purple drank.”

The other people accused of being part of the ring are Don Taylor, Charles “Big C” Davis, Isaac Lawrence Sparrow, Richard “Face” Jennings, Kenneth Dajaun Mitchell and Chauntay Sharee Rouzan.

The captain is on leave with pay pending the outcome of the internal probe.

Baca declined to comment, other than to say the investigation into Abram is ongoing. “We have to be patient … and wait for the facts to come in a holistic way,” he said. “When it gets into my hands is when I have to make a decision.”

Since 2009, Abram has been in charge of policing the city of Carson and the unincorporated areas of Torrance and East Rancho Dominguez. She started at the Sheriff’s Department in 1987 and has held various posts there, including with the Special Victims Bureau and at the Compton and Century stations.

According to a department release, she was named woman of the year by the Anti-Defamation League for “combating hate.” She lists a local rabbi as her spiritual advisor, according to the bio, and has been married for more than two decades.

After taking the helm at the Carson station, she hosted a “coffee with the captain” meet-and-greet with the public at a local Tony Roma’s restaurant.

Even after she was put on leave, Baca praised Abram, calling her a “terrific leader” who is “highly respected.”

  73. Less-Lethal Technologies

Police officers sometimes need to control violent, combative people. Their actions under such circumstances are governed by use-of-force protocols.

Less-lethal technologies give police an alternative to using other physical force options that potentially are more dangerous to officers and suspects. The technologies currently in use include conducted-energy devices (such as Tasers), beanbag rounds, pepper spray and stun grenades.

NIJ Focuses on Making Arrests Safer

The goal of NIJ’s less-lethal program is to provide law enforcement and corrections officers with equipment that protects them and the public, reducing the possibility of injury or death. NIJ collaborates with international experts from various fields (for example, medical, scientific, military) when conducting or coordinating research.

    See Less-Lethal Technology Partnerships.

    Prominent areas of inquiry include:
•Enabling law enforcement and corrections agencies to safely deny individuals or groups access to areas.
•Making projectiles safe at any distance by modeling the technology and techniques that officers can use to deliver less-lethal force.
•Understanding the human health effects of less-lethal technologies, including chemical, kinetic energy and Conducted Energy Devices such as Tasers.
•Analyzing information about incidents of the use-of-force against humans, including the nature of the force applied and the nature of injuries suffered
