“Dr.” Zahra Throws Tantrum Leaves Meeting
In a typical display of childish petulance, Fullerton City Councilman Ahmad Zahra displayed why he is unfit to be our Mayor last Tuesday.
At the December 10th Special Meeting, Zahra just couldn’t help himself at one point from interrupting Mayor Nick Dunlap who was trying to talk – before letting Zahra speak his piece.
Zahra demanded to be heard on some footling “point of order” or something and refused to shut up, so the Mayor did it for him.
What to do? Zahra got up yammering and sulked into the room behind the dais. Here’s the video:
From everything we’ve heard about Zahra this sort of behavior is typical when the cameras aren’t rolling. In one instance he went so far as to file an hysterical and fraudulent police report on one of his fellow councilmembers. Comically, his devoted claque continually fails to understand why his colleagues refuse to make him Mayor.
What a miserable, spoiled, egomaniacal child. Obviously the product of a bag upbringing.

Poor Ahmad. Victimized again. I hope he filed a police report against Dunlap for assault or something.

Fortunately for all of us, he did it in public for all of us to see for our very selves. I remember the hissy fit he threw the night Jung rightfully voted for Dunlap as Mayor Pro Tem.

There was that second or two of a pregnant pause moment, as the unwashed masses processed what they just heard, and for the first time, the deuchbag revealed the sociopath bubbling just below the surface, for all to see. We now have a glimpse at the guy who struck a deal with the OC DA to hide his alleged assault of a woman and destruction of a cell phone, from the public.

Jeff – I have watched all city council meetings and have witnessed Councilmembers Jung and Dunlap disrespect both Councilmembers Zahra and Charles numerous times by cutting off discussion of an item before they were granted time to comment. Although Councilmembers Jung and Dunlap have been showing improvement in being more polite and collegial recently – at the Dec 10th meeting Mayor Dunlap prevented Councilmember Zahra from asking a question during deliberations. At that meeting Councilmembers Charles, Jung and Dunlap spoke before Dunlap started making a motion. Zahra asked to speak – and Dunlap yelled at him and did not allow him to voice his question. It was ridiculous. Zahra got up and left the room. He came back after a break was called and voted with the other three to pass the items (Whitaker voted no).
Zahra often brings up very important issues during meetings. He is highly educated, highly qualified, and owns a successful small production company that creates award-winning documentaries.
But, John is right – the professional City Manager and his staff run the city – not the council.
The council hires the City Manager.
Part of the mess the city is in is because of the incompetence of the council majority in firing excellent city manager Domer (at great financial expense) just as we were coming out of covid years . Many top department heads and qualified staff jumped ship at that time and also after the council majority proceeded to hire an unqualified, unemployed buddy as CM (happily he is gone).
We now have CM Levitt – who knows what he is doing in running a multi-hundred-million dollar city.
