I’d say that sums it up pretty well.
All deaths in the universe
Are somehow your fault.
Time to play pro ball now boys. Tball practice is over. Time to fork out the millions and get your people in there again. Make em sign contracts this time so they don’t turn into politicians this time. I’ll be the umpire. You are Out!
Won’t be necessary. You’ll see soon. Be patient.
Time to clear the smoke from the mirror. The lines are drawn. Heels are dug in. Emotion has taken precedent over logic. Delusion rules the day. The Santa Ana’s are coming in November and the inversion will be a thing of the past. Visibilty will be 100 miles, the air will be clean and the filthy particulate that has been clouding Fullerton’s vision will be blown way out to sea. Clipped wings are no match for the prevailing winds.
I think that sums up yesterday’s meeting the best, emotion has taken over logic. I mean, it’s one thing to be upset with the council if a member of the FPD kills your child in a DUI accident, it’s another to just mindlessly lambast the council for making a decision. It just isn’t rational to say my child might be alive if there were DUI checkpoints and now all DUI deaths are the councils fault.
But the council was lambasted over the last year numerous times for things out of their control. Some warranted, many not. So everyone learned that yelling at the council and blaming them for things they have no control over is fair game. Yes the next DUI death will be the death of Kiger as a politician. He should have thought this one through. He may have just cost himself his seat in a few months. Politicians need to learn when to hold ground. This was a terrible choice. Citizens will not stand behind him with this choice.
Another hapless prediction from the same goon who told us that the recall would never collect signatures and then that the recall would never pass.
You are always wrong.
Humans are wrong often. I said the signatures will be tough but I said the recall would succeed. I thought Kiger had a shot at reelection but I’m hesitant now. TBush needs to hire a PRfirm to repair his mistakes.
That it bad logic. And you keep repeating the same line over and over again. I think you would rather blame him for something to try and make him really unpopular than make a difference in drunk driving in your town. For example, why didn’t anyone last night ask Kiger, Whitaker, or Sebourn for something better? I mean, they turned down 50,000$ for DUI checkpoints (I personally think that was a wise decision) but why didn’t you ask them to find federal funding for something more substantial like saturation patrols? Perhaps you missed the opportunity to ask for a solution that would really get drunk drivers off the road because you were so focused on that $50,000 grant. I get it. You care more about assigning blame so that you can be angry instead of asking the council to meet you in the middle.
And about that last Council, they did horrible things while they had control. You know one of the reasons I became so interested in all of this (besides the murder of Kelly Thomas) was because Doc Jones made all Texans look like a bunch of nonsensical lunatics. I’m here to try and repair some of that bad PR.
saturation patrols= regular time and having to actually do something.
DUI checkpoints = OVERTIME and explorers and old brown shirts do the work.
You do the math.
Not true mechanic.
Fullertion can apply for a $300k plus grant which includes saturations, education, and all the other DUI tactics. Only problem is that to get that grant you have to conduct checkpoints as well. The monies for these grants come from the federal gas tax. Federal monies managed by the state agency. There are ABC grants too which Fullerton should get seeing that everyone has such issues with the bars. No bars are just going to be shut down unless issues are directly attributed to those bars or clubs. That’s what ABC is for.
Normal DUI patrols during normal duty time happens but not often enough. Calls for service, bookings, reports, etc seem to take up a large majority of on duty patrol hours. That’s why overtime where the cops do nothing but DUI patrols works.
My understanding is that you can accept portions of federal grants and not have to accept all of it. Just accept the 250,000 portions for non checkpoint control measures. For me personally one of the flaws with a DUI checkpoint is that you have already allowed the drunk driver to access his or her vehicle from the start. Also, I think some people just change their route to avoid the check point so the drunk driver just goes and hits someone on their alternative route home. I think the fact that Texas has declared DUI checkpoints as unconstitutional has allowed police departments in the state to be more creative and effective in the way in which they address the problems of drunk driving.
According to the link you posted the other day Porky Pig, that’s not true?
The language in the grant from OTS says that the sobriety checkpoints have to be manned with officers on overtime.
You think the union helped them get that language into the grant as part of the requirements?
Excellent post FL. I think you touched on a very important issue. Is one political force capitalizing on emotion to re-enforce the status quo, or are they really looking for ways to address drunk driving.
Sincerity makes the very least person to be of more value than the most talented hypocrite.
The point in the mandated OT is that these are supposed to be *extra* patrols. You can’t do it on regular time due to staffing and equipment issues. Whether you believe it or not, officers are already working the most cost-effective schedule possible while maintaining minimum deployment. It’s not possible to schedule a ton of cops to work DUI checkpoints or saturation patrols on regular time without taking them away from other shifts and leaving dangerously low staffing levels. Frequently officers and patrol cars are brought in from other departments because the local department doesn’t have enough people or patrol cars available.
If the City Council found other grants to help allow for more flexibility in the ratio of regularly deployed officers would the FPD find a compromise and come up with solutions which address drunk drivers other than DUI checkpoints?
Sure. $40,000,000.00 per year that we pay for the Police in a bedroom community like Fullerton each year, and your going to try and convince us that that’s still not enough money that we’re spending.
I could’ve sworn that I heard during the City Council meeting last night, that Chief Hughes had lent out Captain Crum and a couple of Sarge’s, as well as FPD SWAT personnel to Anaheim last month to provide crowd control?
This despite language in the mutual agreement which states that we as taxpayers are still on the hook for those FPD officers actions while they’re in Anaheim.
I believe Mr. Kiger has only strengthened his position on the council. Most people are fed up with the police state and the gestapo tactics. Unfortunately the goal of the establishment and its whore media that most everyone is addicted to including their children are being trained to become animals so that they can be treated like animals. Go to the airport and opt out of the leukemia machines and watch as some TSA ass clown puts on the gloves and gets real intimate with you and if you are really lucky -into your pants. What the hell -lets have em work with the military and local law enforcement at CHECKPOINTS while we are at it. That is where this is going and you know it is true. The checkpoints garnished with the grants, and the OT are just greasing the skids for you all to look the other way when it comes time to begin taking DNA swabs and deploying mobile backscatterers. If we could only be so blessed lets hope that they don’t forget the forced vaccinations-especially for your children as they will be coming to a checkpoint near you soon. Oh such squalene love for the people have our fearless leaders.
CT – there was one speaker who made a good point; IF the reconsideration of the DUI grant results in approval, some (or all) of the checkpoints should be midweek. Let the saturation policing be done on Fridays thru Sundays.
And not always at night! When I worked for (well-known aerospace company), there were always empty beer and alcohol bottles in the parking lots when I drove in to work in the morning.
Honestly, I prefer saturation patrolling. I like how the Austin Police Department handles the drinking down on 6th street. I’m not always a fan of their behavior, but downtown on 6th street they are very professional. They have sections cordoned off for pedestrian traffic to keep people away from their cars as well as horse patrols and foot patrols who will get you before you get to your car. I think DUI check points aren’t very effective methods for getting drunk drivers off the street. Last night someone said something like DUI’s give the appearance of the FPD taking drunk driving seriously. I prefer actual results over looking tough.
Rules for the checkpoints are after 6pm. Personally I think more drunks are on the roads between 2-7pm than any other time. People work and stop at the bars more than the drunks driving leaving bars and clubs at 2am.
I was just relating to my personal albeit limited experience with drunks in mass. I think there are very many ways this particular council could work with the FPD to come up with creative and effective solutions for drunk driving from many different angles. It seems to me that people now just want to be ticked off the other way. I think allowing for some amount of change in Fullerton could really work to everyone’s advantage even if it seems uncomfortable at first.
IS there a stipulation that the grant money must go towards DUI checkpoints?
Why can’t the city council be soveriegn in it’s collective view of how the city spends the money in a effort to curb drunk driving?
Why should the sweep be so broad that it subjects all drivers passing through a checkpoint?
Put breathalisers outside of bars and in parking lots of downtown bars and when patrons exit have them randomly selected to breathalizers.
If they fail ask if they have a designated driver for the night.
I don’t drink ,why should I have to deal with checkpoints?
No politician will ever leave the concept of the necessary evil untouched.
The Fullerton event is toothless mutiny on pirate’s ship.
In other words, as long as there is a pirate’s ship there will be pirates.
I liked the part of last night’s meeting where Kiger decided to “question” the MADD representative as a means to attack FPD. Completely irrelevant to the meeting.
The MADD representative starts her comments at 27:10, and Kiger begins his irrelevant attack at 30:00. Check out the video.
MADD. A bunch of irrational, hysterical screeches on demand.
Speaking of irrational and hysterical, my guess is that Todd Spitzer is a card-carrying member.
Don’t take it personal Frederick.
He can’t help himself, Porky. Freddie is a bitter, unemployed douche nozzle who has far too much free time on his hands. He’s never been able to move out of his mother’s basement; thus the malignant cuntiness he exhibits here everyday.
Actually it sounds like you’re describing O’Malley. Lol!
Which part? Your life? Or Kiger? I see you kept with your normal pattern. One in every 3 posts talks about GeDs. Sensitive topic for you. Whole family only have GEDs?
Sensitive O”Malley? Lol.
Who is O’Malley?
their is only 3 kinda people that use LOL, girls tweens and LGBT queens
no, you’re wrong on that one lol
I hope some drunk runs your GED ass over, FREDDY.
I have even more pieces of paper than O’Malley. Lol!
YES STUCK TO YOUR ASS, LEARN TO WIPE BETTER YOU STINK OF SHIT.
Are you saying O’Malley’s degrees are stuck to my ass? Could be if he left them in the men’s room, lol!
I doubt that. He owns the Padres now. That’s a bunch of paper.
Were the parents irrational screeches?
The parents weren’t irrational screeches; the parents were emotionally charged and had suffered huge losses. That being said, however, dui check points, or check points of any type won’t stop the problem. IMO, saturation patrolling will, and the research has shown it is more effective.
dui check points are just opening the door to more invasion of our privacy and further loss of any perceived freedom we have left in this country…
Video: Man Stands His Ground & Says NO To Police State Checkpoints
Just watched the council video. Kiger acted like a blog commenter playing “gotcha” and trying to embarass a citizen who was using the public comment period, and not like a councilman. He should take some lessons from Whitaker, who has class and treats people with respect from the dais.
Kiger is an amateur and he’s trying to settle as many scores as he can so his patron, King Bushala, will continue filling his campaign coffers with his Fullerton Super PAC money ahead of November’s election.
Kiger sounds like he’s turning into nasty Bushala pitbull — just like he was supposed to be.
I like the idea of having an ‘amateur politician’ on the Council as opposed to a professional politician looking at the Council as a springboard to bigger jobs (Ackerman, Norby, Nelson). BUT, if the amateur politician is a petty, disrespectful person; his 15 minutes are up.
sounds about right.
there is a painting By David, I believe, of Napoleon slouching in a deep chair… Kiger is showing a similar demeanor. It’s a sign of his hidden frustration…that he is better than what is being spewed his way and he just wants to lash out because of this blind belief that his ideology reigns.
To dictate from the dias is not a good sign.
Wow, an inelleckshul.
Trolls are welcome here. Troll=people with differing views.
That’s not true exactly. Trolls are people who post offensive commentary with or without vulgar language. Their comments are usually off topic. I would appreciate a respectful debate with someone who has one or more differing view points. I like respectful dialogue but when people stop making sense and use bad language to peddle poor logic I relegate them to troll territory.
“Trolls are welcome here. Troll=people with differing views.”
You are mistaken, again. The administrators respect the Constitution, and that’s the only reason your dumb comments are mostly left as-is.
Jane H, if the administrators have such respect for free speech, then why am I up to #3? I didn’t used to have a number next to my name. I’ve never used profanity. I’ve only offered opposing viewpoints. They just don’t like my finger poking them in the side pointing out their hypocracy.
Well, it is a private site; the Constitution only limits government suppression of free speech ( agreeing with Gred on this one) and since this is a private site, we play according the rules of the owner.
The Constitution doesn’t limit Tony’s ability to exclude people or commentary from a private forum. It limits only government suppression of free speech. If this were a hotel rather than a blog, some discrimination could be limited.
The Constitution doesn’t limit your ability to write stupid things.
Or Fred’s ability to live his life like a complete and total jerk-off.
People around you tell you that you’re clever, don’t they? For money?
How’s that takedown demand going, dimebag?
I no longer remember what prompted it. I tend to be far too forgiving. Send me a link and I’ll try to work up outrage again. (But in any event it has to stand in line behind the Chris Thompson thing.)
That person was there as a MADD representative reading (!) from a prepared MADD statement; she did not speak extemporaneously whatsoever.
The speakers who made the most impact were the family members of the 4 people (3 killed, one severely injured) in that horrific (WEEKNIGHT!) crash as well as others who spoke from personal experience. Christine’s comments about the Truebloods also had great impact – I remember when that happened and, again, it was on a WEEKNIGHT.
All emotion. Did anybody show statistics that DUI checkpoints arrest more drunks than the cops actually doing their jobs?
Instead of beating people up in the Transportation Center they could be doing DUI patrol that don’t pull people over arbitrarily: 5,10,15,20. Gee hope we catch us a drunk.
No one ever said checkpoints arrest more. Checkpoints do both. Deter and arrest. All DUI tools used are effective and they all work. That’s why for the big grant you have to do checkpoints as well as saturations.
San Bernardino Sheriff Hopeful Paul Shrader Opposes Checkpoints
I found this an interesting article on dui check points.
Oh it’s funny now that the tide has turned!! These new counsil douchbags thought they would sit high on their throne and people would grovel at their feet!!! WRONG!! All the Ffffers had no problem when the old counsil got berated meeting after meeting …… Oh but now it’s a bad thing???? Wtf…. Give me a break!!! Kiger and Whitaker are douchbags and need to go!!! Kiger keep up the good work!! You’re just making it easier for the voters!!!
I don’t know what meetings you’re watching, but I see a council kicking ass while the police union crys themselves a river to little effect.
Have you noticed all the trolls around here lately? I think it’s ironic that they accuse people who post on FFFF of being completely unintelligent insult slinging jerks, but it seems like they’re the ones with really bad arguments and truly ugly things to say.
CT – it’s interesting to see the terms they use. The majority seem to be associated with female body parts and/or hygiene tools.
That shows you how much respect they have for women.
Especially if the woman happens to be a Mother, and Registered Nurse that happens to get pulled over for using her cellphone.
Note that one of these officers was a 22 year veteran “training” an officer new to the department.
You might also want to wait until the end of the video when Father and Son do a little fist bump at the end to show Mom who’s really the boss.
To the women who are married to these officers, this is how your husbands conduct themselves when they think that no one is watching them.
Thank God for the security camera at the Del Taco next door or this lady would have no defense for being arrested for resisting arrest!
Or riding a skateboard. Like I’ve said these incidents will never go away. Ever. We can only minimize them and take proper disciplinary measures when they happen. I mean about 5 of the most recent were LAPD and LASO. Being under a federal decree and strict police commission doesn’t eliminate incidents like this then nothing will. To think Fullerton PD will ever be perfect or Fullerton will be perfect with OCSD is a pipe dream. Make the changes, have confidence in the job they have done the last 15 months, continue to watch at all times, and start to mOve forward.
I read that this morning. Wow! I can’t think of any legal reason for pulling her out of the car and slamming her to the ground. Then they did it again! That really must have hurt to have two men tackle her like that.
22 year veteran. Could he have worked under Pat McKinley?
Sure sounds like a McDodo maneuver.
Last night someone responded to my comment with “Anal Sex. Lube.” I mean, that was too much. Shout out to DQ for saying something.
Are you just noticing the vicious sexism here now? In the past, it has not come primarily from those you call trolls.
For the record, I reject use of those sorts of attacks. Now, would you like to look at some of the sexist things that have been said this month about Flory and SQS?
True. It usually comes from the admins here and the everyday posters.
“Are you just noticing the vicious sexism here now? In the past, it has not come primarily from those you call trolls.”
Then who, Greg?
Even I used some profanity a while back because I was so frustrated with the attacks, but I am not a misogynist, like some of these cop trolls.
Cop trolls and TBush trolls. Split.
I agree, Jane; I don’t recall ever seeing anything misogynistic from you, and I categorically condemn misogyny from those who are swimming against the FFFF tide. However, I also condemn misogyny from those who trumpet the FFFF line. Would you like me to post links to some examples of that? It’s gotten worse since the desperate fear of Flory set in.
Check out “James Cameron’s” posts especially. The fella has issues.
dude you’re a biggot complaining about sexism?
It’s okay to be racist aginst urban chicano’s but, when it comes to your pal flory. Its time to pull the cards eh.
Just a public notice: you’re stupid, your pseudonym is arguably racist itself, you can’t read, and you’re not worth responding to. If you come up with something really worth refuting, I may decide to address it, but as a rule I’m just going to let your comments waft into the air and dissipate. Have a nice day.
You never said if you liked the haiku.
hot-dog diamond, you sir are the racist. your comments regarding Mr. Tovar are insensitive.
just because hes chicano doesn’t make him guilty.
What did you think about Flory’s breast feeding comment? Appropriate? Defensible? Typical?
Lol. I think we’ll be seeing that replayed!
I thought it was out of line, although its roughness would barely register by the FFFF standards that Travis either tolerate or participates in here, but for anyone who knows anything about psychological theory the comment was not really about Travis’s mother but about Travis himself, as too-early weaning is supposed to be associated with certain unpleasant personality traits (like brattiness, as I recall) that she apparently sees in him.
Personally, I find the question of Travis’s personality flaws, as demonstrated during his time on the council so far, to be debatable. Indeed, I’d like to see them debated!
that’s what I see too 🙂
Troll Alert on Moron.
Douchebag alert for Fullerton Lover.
Sticks and stones may break my bones,
But trolls will never hurt me.
Hey trolls- comparing the three bald tires who were guilty of covering up a murder to the new council who are guilty of limiting out of control government spending just proves to all those without a dog in the fight, who’s on the right side of this argument.
So how did they cover up a murder?? They were told not to say anything by the city attorney! Then Whitaker goes on tv and says there is a cover up and makes shit up! The counsil members were being responsible and not jumping to conclusions like all you Fffers!!!! You can troll all over this!!! This will all soon be over! Come January 1st when the new counsil takes over and and kiger and Whitaker are working for bushala as maintenance workers on all his properties!
Do you honestly think that any of this reform that’s occurring in the FPD would’ve have taken place if we “FFFF’ers” hadn’t demanded it?
Counsil is not a word, GED. QED. Lol!
It just makes your day to belittle people, don’t it?
You must have been a real geek growing up with only your barbie and ken dolls to keep you company.
GED alert! Lol.
online university alert POS!
It would be funnier if people actually only had GEDs. I don’t even know anyone with a GED. Kinda silly.
Spoken by a client! Lol.
Moron = Troll in wolf’s clothing! Appropriately named!
Watch the video beginning at 3:04:20 regarding the denied public records request for information relating to Kiger’s campaign manager, Chris Thompson.
Go to the below links (and be sure to read the comments attached, including some from Thompson) to put this into context.
If this request had to do with anyone associated with any of the three recalled council members, Kiger would have been the first one screaming “CONSPIRACY!”.
Terrible. It works for one side but not the other. Not a good sign.
3 Cold Balls… This issue came up last night at the City Council meeting and the City Attorney said that the reason that the city was unable to release the police report was due to a minor being involved.
They could redact the minor’s name and any identifying information without difficulty.
I just wonder when Fullerton is going to come together as one and work toward Fullerton’s future. So far more separation and more divisiveness. Not a good sign at all.
Wait for November. Ritual burial of Fullerton boohoos.
All good. Future for Fullerton. Lol!
Denial is a river. I don’t think so after last night.
Very dark, but in no way the last word.
It seems that Fullerton has gone from three old buffoons to the three stoges! Bushala as Mo, Travis as Larry, and Chris as Curley Joe! This just keeps getting worse everyday, give them enough rope and they will hang themselves!
OTS is the only traffic related grant pool. The Feds offer a cop staffing grant but not to supplant just to add staffing. Most PDs are down 10-30% in staffing over the last 3-5 years. Calls stack up often.
You didn’t answer my question. I asked IF the Council found grant money would the FPD come up with other alternatives to DUI checkpoints. You just said there IS no money ever, definitive end of subject.
Rules for grants and their names change all the time. What is wrong with asking the Council publicly (and politely) to find additional money to address the problem of drunk driving?
There are other grants. All thru OTS. Just saying what is there. Their restriction is if a DUI related grant you must include checkpoints. You won’t find DUI grants anywhere else.
Check in at FPD roll call tonight O’Malley. Or better yet, look pin your sock drawer. Or maybe birdcage. In there somewhere, LOL!
Do a PR request for FPD. How many have GEDs? 2%?
I think you left off a zero!
hey freddy whats a “look pin”?
your GED didn’t teach you to spell?
SPOKEN LIKE A TRUE QUEEN!!! HA,HA,HA.
Now we know what those cops are doing at the DUI checkpoints. Lol!
Do you? I’am still hoping you get hit by a drunk driver for dissing those mad mothers you imbecile.
Aw, MADD mommies got you upset. Not nursed long enough by your own mommy?
no, but your mom let suck on her teet too long.
12 year olds should be thinking about girls their own age. hahahahahahah
why can’t you have an intelligent discussion without speaking hate and saying horrible things about people? grow up and lean how to have an intelligent debate/discussion/discourse.
the MADD mothers were emotional and not thinking clearly about how to handle the situation — I would be emotional too had I had such a huge loss to bear. Being emotional is not the way to make decisions – and, actually, when in an emotional state, that is not the time to make any decisions.
Not just yet. Unfinished business. Lol.
You. Reality Oink.
But to get back to the haiku: truly perceptive Yoshii-san.
and fat freddy just can’t get enough of “LOL”, He just can’t seem to do with out it. So he must be lgbt or a tween.
You cops are very funny, can’t help myself. I have to laugh out loud sometime. LOL!
you teacher union goons are funny, I can’t help myself to hhhhhaaahahahahahah out loud.
“A Narcissist is about control and therefore when a woman/man speaks of love for them the Narcissist feels owned or possessed and they don’t like the feeling because they need that total control. Narcissist almost always choose submissive type personalities (easier to control and play head games with.) This DOES NOT mean that a shy or loving mate of a Narcissist is weak at all. The Narcissist is simply the preditor and the victim is their prey.”

Since majority of your OJ trolls actually live in your blog, as in Quickie Cyber Motel OJ, I can probably sue you Golem for a discrimination.
Stanley, you appear to be applying alien thought patterns and syntax to (mostly) English words — and by “alien” I don’t mean Czech or Slovak. Hire an editor.
I was trying hard to be antisemitic and somehow it did not came out right. I think, I need some white La Raza editor.
Otherwise your crapola was well taken, Golem!
Have you, same as Claudia Alvarez, ever been member of the Zeta Beta Tau (ZBT) Jewish fraternity.
The above hate and anger clearly show that your may be their brainwashed member.
