A Fullerton Observer post ostensibly about money going to improve Independence Park became a saccharine tribute to “Dr.” Ahmad Zahra wherein his name is mention nine times in a few disjointed paragraphs. It’s all about how the good doctor from Damascus has worked soooo hard to secure funding for stuff in the underserved 5th District. There is even a link to one of his long-winded speechifications.
Pathetic.
As usual, Skitsa folds one of her imagined grievances into the Zahra encomium, in this case it’s a completely fictional threat to “privatize” part of Independence Park – for soccer programs, apparently – an unsolicited proposal having been mentioned by a City bureaucrat at a Parks Commission meeting.
No, Skakia, is not pleased by a fright of her own creation, but she has a champion, doncha know. And of course his name is Zahra. To wit:
“Zahra has been a strong advocate for public parks, opposing the privatization of these community spaces, which he believes prioritizes profit over local needs.”
Zahra left a fishy odor in UP Park…
Hmm. Poor Stiksa has a very poor, or a very selective memory. It was Ahmad Zahra who voted to convert the Union Pacific Park site into a private events center with a hedge and a fence around it – and a locked gate. That’s right – a possibly illegal move to take public park space into which the City had previously poured millions of dollars intoand privatize it.
I don’t remember laying these…
Fortunately, FFFF’s memory is better that Skitia’s. No matter how many scatterbrained tributes she can cook up for the lame duck Zahra, facts remain facts outside the precincts of Fullerton Boohoo.
Yesterday I published a post about City Attorney Dick Jones saying the Fullerton City Council had voted in Closed Session to ask the District Attorney to investigate a possible leak of confidential information to the Fullerton Observer.
Zahra misses another bus…
I methodically eliminated all possible subjects except one – “Dr.” Ahmad Zahra, the pathological pathologist, known manipulator of the Fullerton Observer Kennedy Sisters, as well as the author of the above-mentioned “story,” green sprout Elijah Manassero.
So young, so lively, so impressionable…
I can’t say if Zahra broke the law by revealing closed session stuff to his tender young protégé, but I do know he missed the meeting completely. The ever-incurious Siskia Kennedy says he was “out of the state on business,” an odd statement given Zahra’s lack of employment, as noted in his Form 700s. Was it because he didn’t want to vote to have himself investigated?
Anyway, here’s the video again, highlighting the Jones statement and Zahra’s MIA.
That Ahmad Zahra sure puts on a show for his cult followers. During Tuesday’s “council communications” he went on a pathetic 11 minute emotional roller coaster ride, a real self-pity party that was full of his special brand of histrionics – gestures, knowing nods, glances at who knows who, dramatic pauses, pained looks, and near-tears expressions.
I am the light, the truth and the way…
Good Lord, what a valediction! Departing hero, victim, saint, champion of the downtrodden and upholder of truth and justice.
Of course it was a damn waste of everybody’s time. But when you’re a self-aggrandizing narcissist that’s the last thing to worry about. In fact, your speech is just the capper to a long conga line of oddball public commenters you have stirred up to attack your political enemies. And he still has a whole year to keep repeating the performance.
Meantime, the Kennedy Sisters who run the pretend news outlet Fullerton Observer still haven’t mentioned Zahra’s decision not to run for re-election. You would think Sanka and Sharon Kennedy would fall all over themselves to shower sickly sweet encomiums upon the object of their infatuation. But no. The proverbial deafening silence.
Zahra put out his statement over two weeks ago and there has been no mention on the Observer site of Zahra’s departure at the end of 2026. We know that the Observer operation is incompetent and completely biased, but this neglect has got to be deliberate. Why?
It’s been speculated, and with some justification, that the Sisters are waiting until the Democrat Machine can find and endorse a replacement for Zahra; and that once all the endorsements are locked up and any District 5 Dem rivals swept aside, all will be revealed and the anointed one revealed to hallelujahs and hosannas.
The anointing oil was greasy and left fingerprints, and didn’t take…
This doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. What difference does it make to let Fullerton Boohoo know Zahra’s story – even the implications? That might even look like sort of real journalism.
But hey, these are the same dummies who aided and abetted Scott Markowitz in 2024. Maybe they really believe they need to keep the cat in the bag while they find another Cannabis Kitty Jaramillo to roll out.
Five days have passed since “Dr.” Ahmad Zahra, the Syrian immigrant fraud announced he would not run for re-election to the Fullerton City Council.
Silence is golden. Sometimes…
Crickets from the Fullerton Observer, whose sisters Sanka and Sharon have republished every utterance of Zahra, and who published his plagiarized articles without apology, have said nothing.
Other over inflated things…
They’ve published a dozen other articles – even one about some woman on Dorothy Lane who has become addicted to putting blow-up figures in her front yard. But not a solitary word about their Hero quitting in 2026.
How come?
Many people are saying it’s because Fullerton Boohoo doesn’t have a District 5 replacement plan yet, and the Observer crowd doesn’t want any surprise ordinary citizens running in next year’s election, so they’re keeping it quiet.
This doesn’t make a lot of sense since very few people in D5 read the Observer. However, common sense is a rare commodity in the precincts of Fullerton Boohoo.
A star is born?
Still, it could be true – that they are getting all the usual OC Dem endorsements in place for the first term school board member Vanessa Estrella, the candidate created for Sharon Quirk and her husband Jesus Quirk-Silva, and only plan to talk about Zahra leaving when she has a party central endorsed replacement in place. Then there’s the worthless politician endorsements to line up: you know, Lou Correa, Josh Newman, the Quirks, Tony Umberg (I forget his first name), the unions, etc., etc.; the ones that ushered Cannabis Kitty over the goal line – in second place. Oops.
In any case, there already is a candidate in running, a man who has already run a close campaign, and who would have won in 2022 except that the Usual Crowd of Dems created a fake Latino candidate by the name of Tony Castro, whom nobody has seen since 2022.
If they do run this Estrella person next year they might rerun the phony Latino dude scam of 2022; or, they might try the phony white guy candidate strategy they rolled out in 2024. They might do both. But 2026 isn’t 2024. Markowitz got pinched by the DA for perjury, and his handlers have cause for pause.
I’m not talking…
That includes Ajay Mojan the dirty little bastard involved in each earlier scam. And it certainly includes the Dems who collected Scott Markowitz’s signatures for him. Was that Aaruni Thakur? Was it Andre Charles, husband of the otiose windbag, Shana Charles? The self-righteous Diane Vena knows, and so does her confessor, Sharon Kennedy – of the Fullerton Observer.
There may be a reluctance for this rogues gallery to keep creating phony candidates to push their own ideologues, now that every candidate will be subjugated to a decency smell test.
Is it true. When his lips are moving he’s generally lying, as the saying goes.
It was all about “serving,” mostly serving himself, of course. Never forget: his second big decision was to get himself appointed to the lucrative OCWD board in exchange for appointing Jan Flory to the City Council in 2019; his first big decision had been to call for a replacement election.
“Community-driven representation” means stirring up a handful of uninformed people to harangue honest council members and bully them into submission on a useless $2,300,000 trail through a blighted industrial area.
Is this a true statement or only a feint? Is it a mechanism to win sympathy for a mayoral appointment on December 16th? The latter certainly isn’t going to happen any way you slice it. Or is this a realization that his self-serving ego leap is over and that he landed in the sand some time ago?
A week and a half ago Fullerton councilman Ahmad Zahra agendized an item to dole out $200,000 from the General Fund to immigrants hassled by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He thought it was an excellent opportunity to burnish his own immigrant travails to the full house. He didn’t bother sharing any of the details of his own arduous trail to citizenship, of course – like his marriage fraud – a federal crime.
Fortunately, the distinguished ladies of FFFF’s Fine Arts, Cinema, and Book Club Division have recreated the elevation of the poor, Syrian immigrant to what he is now – a poor (targeted, don’t forget!) American citizen.
Enjoy the histrionics: the wistful smiles, the knowing head bobs, the empathetic tone.
I guess Zahra figures he can get away with telling only a small part of his heroic origin story, even if it changes a little now and then. The whole story, or most of it, was hidden for decades in order to create the Zahra brand he sells to the ignorant.
I guess we’ll see what the 4th District voters have to say.
Back in June, 2022 the Fullerton City Council voted to raise rents on public property in downtown Fullerton. These spaces are used by adjacent restaurants as outdoor patios. One of the the “yes” votes was none other than “Doctor” Ahmad Zahra, the Damascene Dissimulator.
Time to come clean…..
The rent increases were big, almost doubling the cost to restaurant tenants. Here’s the old and the approved rates, and the incremental difference, from the June 21, 2022 agenda item:
The resolution to establish the new rate structure passed on a 3-1 vote. And Zahra, one of the three votes is now the self-styled “pro-small business” councilman, and is regarded as one of the ringmasters of the Poor Les Amis Club.
Les Amis, you ask? Yes, the restaurant that went years without paying rent and illegally occupied public property, and that recently had its patio stuff removed from public property at public expense.
Yard sale in progress…
A cynic might argue that the big rent increase meant nothing to the rent dodgers at Les Amis since they weren’t going to pay their rent anyhow – just like they been stalling the City for years. Neither Jinan Montecristo, owner of Les Amis, nor her youthful cub, Oliver, even showed up to complain about the new fees.
Here’s the point of this story: this rent increase is now being used by Les Amis and its loyal amis to justifythe Montecristos not paying anything in rent for years, even at the old rates, and of squatting on public property without permits or agreements.
Giving truth the middle finger…
I know! Let’s let the harpy-like elder Kennedy Sister, Sharon, another sudden small business sword and shield, share the strategy in a comment on the Fullerton Observer blog:
Why was Les Amis patio torn down by the city before the public meeting scheduled for Dec 2 at which the fairness of outdoor dining fees will be discussed? What was the urgency? Who directed that to happen?
Asking an unintelligent question is an excellent way of avoiding an intelligent answer, especially on a blog where rejection and censorship of truth-tellers eliminates the embarrassing predicament of honest correction.
I wonder how they’ll feel when they learn the that the huge amount of back rent incurred by The Noaccounts of Montecristo is based on the action of their hero, Ahmad Zahra,
At last night’s City Council meeting, “Doctor” Ahmad Zahra, the Dissimulator of Damascus, informed the packed audience the he had written an opinion piece in the Fullerton Observer. The thrust of the article he said, was to point out the disparity in park spending in south Fullerton when compared to the north.
I was curious to see what Zahra had written, knowing as I do his penchant for plagiarism in the Observer, and his special brand of hand-wringing. I wondered if it might be AI written as has appeared to be the case before. So I found the online copy of the print edition.
Don’t go there…
Naturally the first thing Zahra does to establish his position is to tell a bald-faced lie. People in the neighborhood have been waiting 20 years, he bemoaned, for the Union Pacific Park to “finally” be opened! One poor mom could become a grandmother waiting for the park to open! The shame! Zahra was peddling the same false history bullshit as his pal Skiaka Kennedy.
Of course Zahra’s implication is that the closed park symbolizes profound unfairness, proving bias against south Fullerton, presumably by white City Councils from north Fullerton (not so subtle racism and hideous classism would be the obvious cause, Zahra hoped, to the Latino-packed audience). That’s the official Fullerton Boohoo narrative.
The problem is that this weeping about Union Pacific Park is completely untrue, and the history of the park, while demonstrating gross incompetence by City staff and councils, in no way shows an anti-south Fullerton bias. Actually, just the opposite.
The park wasn’t closed. Not yet.
Here’s the truth: the park had been opened back in the early 2000s at a cost of several million bucks to the public – all of Fullerton’s public. In a year or two part of the park was fenced off due to soil contamination – but a small part of the western end. The balance of the park remained wide open to the public and stayed open for ten years or so. Then the park was closed by Fullerton’s City Manager, and former Parks and Rec Director, Joe Felz.
Why?
Because the Union Pacific Park had become a haven for borrachos, gang members and drug addicts. The City finally put up a fence around the whole damn thing. The small toilet building was a magnet for illicit activity; it was closed, then demolished. Homeless started to haunt the walkways and build wickiups against the fence. No City Council ever voted on this closure, by the way. A public explanation would be too damn damning. It has been painfully obvious that there never should have been a park there in the first place, and there wouldn’t have been except for the ego of the then Parks Director and lots of Redevelopment play money.
The sad truth is that nothing has changed to make the new version of the Union Pacific Park successful. All of the same socio-economic, criminal, and drug abuse issues still exist. Zahra will not be in office after next November’s election, but the legacy of his foolish, patronizing make-work projects – the Trail to Nowhere and the Union Pacific Park – will be notorious to anybody willing to look at the topic honestly.
Alas, honesty is not a commodity in high demand in the world of uber-liberal politics, made manifest locally in the precincts of Fullerton BooHoo. Here, governance, if you want to call it that, is based on seeking out, and appearing sensitive to the plight of some victim or other, some “underserved” person or class, whether they want that solicitude or not. The more you spend, the more you appear to care, even if the money is utterly wasted, as were the millions spent acquiring and building the first Union Pacific Park.
Fullerton City Councilman and immigration fraud, “Dr.” Ahmad Zahra always has an interest in his own self-interest, clothing his own interest in verbiage that makes it seems he loves all mankind, especially the “underserved.”
But Zahra is often motivated by jealousy and vindictiveness, the main target being his nemesis – the Bushala family. Hence his sudden interest in leases of city-owned property. He got it all wrong, of course, but not for lack of trying to hurt the Bushala’s in their lease agreement at the Santa Fe Depot.
Always game day in Fullerton…
At the end of the last council’s discussion on the noise ordinance Zahra was heard to mutter loud enough to be overheard: “Bushala wins again.” What Bushala was supposed to have “won” is unclear, since a decent noise ordinance that would actually be enforced, is in everybody’s interest – except those scofflaw “clubs” orchestrating the decibel free-for-all to the detriment of genuine restaurants and nearby residents.
If the proper draft ordinance decided by the council majority had been prepared, it would have been approved that night.
I sometimes fight for transparency!
Here in the hallowed halls of FFFF HQ, we’ve been wondering aloud how long it would be before Zahra, Ezekiel Manassero and the rest of the Fullerton Observer claque would begin to orchestrate a nuisance opposition when the item comes back to council, with draft ordinance, on October 7th. The over-under is tomorrow at noon.
Oraganizing this may be a tough row to hoe for the ever-delinquent damascene doctor.
Sure, the usual crowd of nincompoops and boobs will rail against the council majority like they always do. Who cares? Will any of the noise pollution makers show up to claim innocence, poverty, government overreach, or some other lamentation? They didn’t appear last time to support the “it’s not broke and we won’t fix it, anyhow” strategy of Community Development Director Sunaya Thomas. I’d love to attach some names and faces to the perpetrators of nuisance blasting noise.
Anyway, the over-under at FFFF about when we will first see the opposition is sometime tomorrow. Any takers?
In 2018 Ahmad Zahra, the immigration fraud and woman batterer and plagiarist popped up out of nowhere, an unknown, and got himself elected the D5 councilman in a split race.
Is he returning to that anonymous swamp from whence he emerged?
His candidate committee for re-election in 2026 is now listed on the City Clerk’s inactive committee page. I don’t know how or why it is there instead of on the active committee page. Could it be that the Deadbeat Damascene Doctor is giving up on Fullerton politics? Maybe the Kennedy Sisters will let us know.
Zahra’s political departure, if true, is a pleasant thought.
How dare you question my story!
For almost seven years we’ve been putting up with his lies, his manipulations, his machinations and his saccharine, high handed sanctimony. He has been so unpopular with a majority of his colleagues that they have continually denied him the mayorship, something he has obviously coveted so as to burnish his political reputation. Good job, too. He filed a false police report against one of them and has denigrated them in his frequent moods of high dudgeon.
It’s possible that Zahra sees no political future, given the gay man’s phony Green Card marriage to an Arkansas woman has been discovered and would obviously play a prominent part in a 2026 campaign. He spent well over $100,000 to keep his $800 per month gig in 2022 and only won because OC Dem Central created a fake Latino candidate to siphon votes away from Oscar Valadez. And this was before the marriage fraud was discovered. Thin ice, indeed.
Bushala says stop!
Zahra also knows that his malevolence directed at the Bushala family is reciprocated, and that Tony Bushala has the means and the motive to finally get rid of this creep. The fact that Mr. Valadez says he is running again must be a problem for the Middle Eastern man of medicine.
Fullerton Boohoo has clasped the prevaricating fraud to its collective bosom, believing all the tripe he dishes out to them. This won’t help him stay elected.
Soon we will find out if Zahra is leaving, going back to his “day job” (whatever that job may be) full time. Or maybe we will learn that a clerical error by the “new crew” has been made, assigning his committee to the inactive list.
