Mission Accomplished Says Zahra. No Third Term Necessary

It was all about “serving,” mostly serving himself, of course. Never forget: his second big decision was to get himself appointed to the lucrative OCWD board in exchange for appointing Jan Flory to the City Council in 2019; his first big decision had been to call for a replacement election.
“Community-driven representation” means stirring up a handful of uninformed people to harangue honest council members and bully them into submission on a useless $2,300,000 trail through a blighted industrial area.
Is this a true statement or only a feint? Is it a mechanism to win sympathy for a mayoral appointment on December 16th? The latter certainly isn’t going to happen any way you slice it. Or is this a realization that his self-serving ego leap is over and that he landed in the sand some time ago?
Zahra has no path to re-election and even with his own vast narcissism he came to realize it. What would he do without his bi-monthly lecturing, pontificating, condescension and rallying the Eglets and Young sprig Elijahs to make an issue about nothing.
I agree. He would have a hell of a time explaining his Arkansas wedding to, and sudden desertion of an American woman. His history on the city council is bad enough.
Many community members wanted him to run for another term, he says. That’s possibly true, but I get the feeling reality set in among the Sharon Quirk crowd that Zahra was cooked. After all, they have been grooming Zahra’s replacement – Vanessa Estrella – who Quirk got on the Fullerton School Board last year. It will look pretty unseemly for a 1st term elected to run for a better job, but hey, gotta build up the bench, right?

Anyone who meets Shana is shocked at how socially awkward she is. A train wreck. Why would anyone ask her to represent Fullerton? Who voted her to be Mayor anyway? She is awful.
The trust of the innocent is the liar’s most useful tool.
Do not consider it proof just because it is written in books, for a liar who will deceive with his tongue will not hesitate to do the same with his pen.

So here’s how it’ll go: the community will come running in, begging Zahra to stay. He’ll throw on the dramatics, act “torn,” and finally announce that he’s been so moved by their support that he’ll run for re-election after all.
And then what?
Thunderous applause.
And Zahra soaks it up like it’s his life force.
I sure hope he does. The plan to get rid of him was developed months ago. And it’s well-funded.

Honestly, two terms are enough for anyone to serve on council. No one is indispensable in a city this size. If you can’t get it done in eight years it probably isn’t going to happen anyway. Wise move to step aside and let someone else have a crack at it.
