Young Elijah Gets Busy

So young, so innocent…

Our new acquaintance, a tender young fleur named Elijah Manassero is making something of a name for himself in Fullerton. And that name is “Somebody’s Lackey.”

So get this – apparently, the callow youth recently sent a complaint to the California Fair Political Practices Commission. The topic? He swore under oath that Fullerton Councilman Nick Dunlap violated the law by voting on something related to a donor – George Bushala Jr. – who had given Dunlap a $500 campaign contribution.

I don’t have the complaint, but I do have the FPPC response, here:

Oops!

No fire, no smoke, no smoking gun. Sweet Elijah apparently doesn’t know the law, yet proceeded to waste other people’s time, time seemingly more valuable than his own with a phony complaint. This harassment by the green young sprout is starting to get weird – there seems to be more to fresh Elijah than just a pop-up concerned citizen. A funny smell is emanating.

Anyhow, the law is clear. A contribution above $500 triggers the prohibition against voting on a contributor’s “license, permit, or other entitlement.” And Dunlap hasn’t done that, either. This is just a silly effort to harass Bushala and Dunlap. The set up? The upcoming Bushala lease at the Depot where Elijah has been nattering (falsely) about a giveaway to the Bushalas.

Now who would gain from that?

  1. acting like a recent amendment is a pass for behavior is weak shit. Y’all clearly are scrambling to find justifications for your shitty behavior.

Tell Bushala to put the bottle down before he drives lol

  2. Honestly, kind of weird how this author keeps sexualizing “young and tender” Elijah.

Be honest with yourself about your feelings, and your sexuality. The world will be better if you do so <3

  3. Who would gain from Bushala paying market value for a commercial rental??? Well, the city for starters, who last I heard was broke as a joke. I for one want clean parks, trained and reliable fire and police services, and smooth roads.

    1. A commercial rental? A loading dock with no sewer, no water, no power and no enclosure. It doesn’t even have land value. A penny a month is too much.

      1. literally none of that is true. If its worth nothing maybe they should open bid for it and see how much it is really worth

        1. So where is the water? Where is the sewer? Where is the power? Not there. You literally don’t know what literally means. Must be an Observer.

Who would bid on a 1000sf ramshackle structure sitting on top of a concrete bulkhead with no utilities and no current access except through somebody else’s leasehold? You really are fuckin’ stupid.

      2. This land could later be developed. Go ahead and give Bushala the lease but for 5 year increments. If he doesn’t want it – fine. There would be other takers if the city actually looked. We don’t need to develop the loading dock because the entire area should be redeveloped with mixed use housing, restaurants, public open space, etc. this lease, and its 2060 term, is just Bushala trying to get paid out of the city ever wants to develop the land.

        1. Land? What land? You display yore ignorance.

The lease is for 1000 square feet of a City-owned abandoned loading dock with no utilities, no enclosure, and a decrepit structure.

        2. BTW, the Bushalas already have a lease on 2/3 of the loading dock and the existing extensions are good for another 22 years as it is. Zahra and the older Kennedy sister will be long gone, and you will be looking for your false teeth.

    1. It is strange. But I guess young Elijah figured on trying to intimidate Dunlap who is seen as the weakest link.

  4. The lease is pretty generous though. In all my years of owning a business out in LA, I’ve never heard of a city lease that nice…

  5. In coming election cycles opponents can claim that Dunlap, Jung, and anyone else who is the subject of frivolous complaints can be claimed to the the subjects of “numerous complaints to the FPPC,” or some such BS on a negative campaign mailer.

  6. damn george bushala back on that coke again replying to every comment in here, bro needs to chill out and handle his own family drama

  7. It’s really sad to be this down bad for another man.

I’m referring to Tony Bushala but I guess Elijah works here too

  8. Jung worships at the Bushala altar. Bushala Co. has been bribing politicians and buying elections for decades now. If I were the City I would exercise the lease termination provision in the agreement and toss the Bushala’s out on their asses. Just because there are options in the agreement doesn’t mean the City has to agree to exercise those options and extend the term. Put the flophouse on the open market and see if you can find another operator to do something else with the property or scrape the property clean and build something new that enhances the neighborhood. The Bushalas are clowns and this blog will defend their nonsense to the end of days. It’s no wonder the Bushala clan sues each other.

  9. Quick question, since Fullerton’s elected leadership has failed, again, in maintaining trash service, where’s one supposed to take their trash? Some have said people are taking their trash to their coucil person’s street curb and leaving it there. One person said, “We know they all get special treatment so maybe Republic Services will actually respond to those locations.”
