Fullerton Karen Makes the News

And not in a way a future employer might find appealing.

A fellow named Doug Bowen has become an internet star for aggressive, vulgar and abusive behavior toward a couple playing fetch with their dogs, as well as a Fullerton College security guy just trying to do his job.

Mr. Bowen was highly offended because the people were using the green strip adjacent to the south college parking lot, next to Bowen’s house. The activity caused Bowen’s own dogs to bark on his side of a fence. This was on July 29th,

Improvised doggie park…

Abraham Cano and his girlfriend captured the incident on video that has gone viral on social media as such confrontations often do.

Racist neighbor threatens us, claims he knows the chief of police in Fullerton and sits on the advisory board. Everything is on video! Please share he thinks he’s untouchable, threatening to call ice on us because we’re Latinos over playing fetch with our dogs in a public space. #fullerton #RacistNeighbor #ExposeHate #JusticeForAll #ktla #fullertoncollege #racism

The kicker? This enflamed hemorrhoid was a member of the Police Chief’s Advisory Council. Not anymore. It seems that even the FPD has limits, even though Bowen believed he was in tight with cops as demonstrated in his attitude. But Bowen was arrested hauled off to the Fullerton clink and booked, charged with threatening bodily harm. Good for the FPD. The case has been sent to the DA.

Now Bowen could have just gone down as another obnoxious asshole Karen – abusive, entitled, and making up shit to defend his privilege, but no. At one point he mutters that he was going to call ICE, adding a layer of racism to his résumé. Well done fella.’

The story took another weird turn today. A Friend decided to contact Mr. Bowen via the telephone. The respondent was an FPD cop named David Alarid. What? Why are Fullerton police answering this miscreant’s phone? Is he in protective custody of some kind?

This afternoon our boys in the White Van saw four cop cars at Bowen’s house. So what gives? Are Fullerton taxpayers footing the bill to provide security for this donkey? I sure hope somebody presents this blowhard with a bill for police protection.

  1. You see these Karen videos all the time, but this is the first time I recognize the street!

Another self-entitled Karen. The video has been seen by almost a million people!

Good for the FPD for arresting this asshole. But who put him on the Chief’s Advisory Committee in the first place? I’m getting a whiff of Danny Hughes.

    1. Hey Harpoon, you should make a public records request to see his application to the Chief’s Advisory Council and who he listed as references.

  2. The green strip looks like a great place to have a picnic with friends and pets.

I can’t imagine anybody would mind.

  3. Besides being on the Police Chief’s Advisory Council, what does Egleth Nuncci and Doug Bowman have in common?

  4. The Karen was the broad filming. Who by the way should not be dressed in horizontal strips.

I saw this start. It was them goading him on.

    1. Were you the off camera “eye witness” that called her a torta?

You and Doug share the same DNA – and I don’t mean that figuratively.

    2. Wrong. You can see Doogie coming at them and following the guy around threatening him. The woman was trolling him pretty good. So what? He asked for it.

      1. Bet you a burrito at Taqueria De Anda that Cano could whoop fat bastard’s ass without even breaking a sweat!

  5. There’s an “industrial door arena?” Who knew. Those salesmen must be like gladiators or something.

  6. I’m going to walk and play fetch with my dog on that green strip every day now. Should bring Doug “Karen” Bowen much joy. FAFO.

      1. Resorting to Dr. Seuss sort of writing? Put that CSUF education to work, man. Oh, wait…

  7. Doug “The Douche Nozzle” Bowen! What a piece of work!!!

He needs serious anger management therapy.

The community is NOT safe with him on the loose!

      1. I appreciate the video share. It gives me a mental image to go with every rant you perpetual karens post.

  8. Gotta admire the confidence it takes for Fullerton’s most pickled resident to call anyone an obnoxious entitled blowhard. Tony, you throw stones like a man who’s never blacked out in his Audi after rage-blogging through a bottle of JW.

  9. Doug Bowen -so he wants to be a Project Manager? Of what? Regional sales manager? Again, of what?
Such a blowhard, such entitlement -the only project he should be managing is his attitude. As for the cops going over and offering huggies and squeezies… stop. It’s sickening.

  10. The new chief is just another “Good Ole Boy” – Why are we using taxpayer money to babysit an accused FELON?

  11. If this is any clue as to who is on the Chief Advisory Board we need to pause and regroup. For a so called upstanding member of the community to threaten to call ICE on American citizens is beyond worrisome… We all know now you do not have to be white to be a racist, so what is up with the rest of these people?

    Lets see who is on the Chief of Fullerton Police Advisory Board;

    Marty Burbank
    Sueling Chen
    Jim Ertle
    Amindra “AJ” Jayasinghe
    Chi-Chung Keung
    Ju Kim
    Tom Knoll
    Egleth Nuncci
    Dallas Stout
    Leah Wissink

I suggest that we dismantle the board of past chiefs and start fresh. We can have each council member nominate a candidate by district . There does not need to be anymore than that. Chief Jon Radus should defiantly have advisors in the community he can trust and will not embarrass our city with such unhinged behavior…

      1. During the 2022 election, Marty Burbank displayed an Ahmad Zahra campaign sign prominently in front of his office located at 619 N, Harbor Blvd. Interestingly, Zahra’s district did not extend north of Chapman Ave., but that didn’t stop Burbank from supporting Zahra. To me, this questions Burbank’s apparent support for Zahra. After all, Zahra committed immigration fraud the first time he stepped foot in America. Remember Arkansas and Michele Salmon?

Furthermore, regarding the current Chief Advisory Board, there are concerns coming from the community via social media posts and comments about potential racist tendencies among its remaining members. We know for certain that Doug Bowen, a member of the board, exhibited racist behavior. He would call ICE on individuals simply because they had brown skin, which is undeniably a racist action. This raises the question: are there other members on this committee with similar biases? What is their background, and who appointed them? What kind of references do they have? Given that we already know of one racist on this board, it is crucial to investigate further.

It might be time for the city council to reconsider the composition of the Chief Advisory Board all together. A proposal could be made where each council member appoints one person to the board, and one member appointed by the Chief, and there could be one at-large position, appointed by the City Council as a whole, making this a seven-member board. This approach would ensure a more diverse and representative board, potentially reducing the risk of biased or racist influences.

In light of these developments, it is essential to scrutinize the appointment processes and ensure that the Chief Advisory Board reflects the diversity and values of the community it serves. Transparency and accountability are key to maintaining public trust and ensuring that the board operates in the best interests of all residents.

  12. If Dougie had a “successful career” as he said he did, wouldn’t it make sense to go back to the “industrial door arena” and pick up where he left off? Something tells me the truth is that he was neither liked, respected, nor successful.
