Chickenhawk Royce Backs Away from Trump

Two days ago, Fullerton’s own GOP war hawk Ed Royce said that Trump’s controversial immigration ban is “the right call to keep America safe.” As a partisan is wont to do, he backed his party boss’ play.

I say boy, I say…

Then tonight Royce made an about face on Facebook, saying he has “serious concerns with the implementation of this executive order.”

I can finally feel the breeze…

Sometimes it’s hard to feel which way the wind is blowing when you’re too close to the ground.

    1. Ed Royce on foreign policy….

In foreign policy, Royce’s voting record has earned the most pro-military possible rating from SANE.[11] In 2002, he voted in favor of authorizing President George W. Bush to use force in Iraq.[27] In 2003, he voted yes on an emergency appropriation of $78 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.[11] In every year from 2003 to 2006, he has voted in favor of the annual supplemental spending bill to continue funding for the Iraq war.[27][28] In 2005, he voted against Amendment 214 to HR 1815, which called on Bush to develop a plan for withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq; in favor of Amendment 488 to HR 2601 to keep troops in Iraq; and in favor of HR 612 opposing a timetable for withdrawal of troops from Iraq.

This is from someone who has never served a day in the military himself, has no problem sending other peoples children off to defend wars that he’s sponsored?

Hope that you people that live in Ed “Randy” Royce’s congressional district, remember this before he sends YOUR children off to foreign lands to fight wars over oil fields and to help getting bankers get even richer….

The legislation he has sponsored shows a focus on tax policy, small businesses, credit, and banking deregulation.[12] and many of his biggest campaign contributors have been banks: his five top contributors in 2006 were Credit Union National Assn, Irvine Co., Wells Fargo, Orange County Teachers Fed Credit Union, and GUS plc. He is among the representatives receiving the largest percentage of their campaign contributions from the banking industry.

  1. its too early to judge Trumps immigration ban. Its more of a freeze right now.A partial ban might have cause a lot of bad guys to rush in.

  2. It’s a good thing that guy became a politician because there’s not another damn thing he could do for a living.

  3. He IS a short little squirt, isn’t he? He’s what, 5’2″ with lifts? Saw him once at Brea’s Country Fair (July 4th event) which is pretty darn casual; he was wearing a suit and tie. Sad.

  4. If phony neo-con politicians like Royce (or their “expert advisors”) actually gone to Viet Nam instead of chickening out, they would likely be a lot less enthusiastic about bombing and waterboarding people.

  5. Royce, our rep to rhe Feds, an accountant for Portland Cement before striking gold in politics, serving on foreign affairs which spells empire building not protecting our nation, a social conservative anti gay marriage and anything else he feels conflicts with God’s plan, a plan he plucked from his Bible buffet, voted for war in Iraq is the person who says others will fight and die in his sanctioned wars is a wispy – washy guy when it comes to fighting for our rights, our Constitution, human decency because he would not want to offend his new boss. Thanks, Congressman Royce for protecting the rights of the people whose interests you vowed to represent at the highest level of our government. The bar of ethics is lower at the highest level,of government.

  6. , I am an immigrant, an American citizen, never received a government hand-out, college educated at CSU Fullerton and UC Irvine, employed for decades in a profession, my son a proud Marine, never engaged in criminal acts, sedition, and know preserving our nation is crucial to my well-being who finds it offensive that Trump applied a blanket ban applied to immigrants from southwest Asia.

  7. No real Republican can support Ed Royce. Simply search for: “Ed Royce” “Maryam Rajavi”. For example, you will find a video of him addressing the Iranian Communist MEK (MKO, PMOI, NCRI, Rajavi Cult, or Pol Pot of Iran) terrorists:
No one should be voting for any politician who supports the neo-conservative (neo-Trotskyite) agenda.
Many Americans died in Vietnam fighting communists. We do not need chicken hawks who support communists.
