Deb Pauly’s Anti-Terrorist Price Tag

A while back we did a post on the shameful fearmongering that took place adjacent to an Islamic charity event in Yorba Linda. Our own paper tiger Ed Royce was on hand to help whip up the know-nothing rubes, as was the big mouth, pea-brained Deb Pauly who somehow got herself elected to the Villa Park City Council.

Hate means never having to say you're sorry...

Pauly’s remarks were particularly inflammatory and unapologetic, consistent with her later non-apology as she tried to weasel out of what she had said.  The consequence of her remarks was a big demonstration at the Villa Park City Hall in which her outraged opponents and her nutwing supporters showed up en masse to have at one another.

Got something important to say?

The OC Sheriff Department that is responsible for protecting the mean streets of Villa Park brought in the troops, order was miraculously maintained, and everybody went home feeling pretty good about themselves.

And the price tag on the OCSD bill to the City of Villa Park? A City Hall insider places the figure at $13,500. And given the potential for much greater physical and financial damage the well-heeled folks of VP may consider themselves lucky they got off so cheaply.

But my question is this: why not present the bill to Deb Pauly herself?

  1. If the guvment could make us pay for the stupid things we say, this country would be in big trouble.

On the other hand, she is an elected official, so there’s no reason that her constituents couldn’t ask her to pay for it.

  2. You’re right. The republican party would have been better of with Fleischman as it’s local V.P.. Uh, wait, never mind.

  3. What is wrong with this woman? Islam is a totally peaceful religion. Pay no attention to the 12 innocent people killed in the last 24 hours (2 beheaded) because an Imam (read religious leader)stoked them to action over hearing a koran may have been burned 12,000 miles away a few months ago. It’s just so politically incorrect to criticize killing in the name of religion you know.

    1. I don’t know if we can keep pace with the crazies in Islamistan but I’m ready to give it shot. Damned if they’re going beat us in the kook race.

      …shit, dropped my grenade…

But we have a secret weapon: Deb Pauly. God bless that woman!

  4. I agree if every time a demagogue rouses the rabble and there are consequences and these consequences incur bills to be paid our nation would be truly bankrupt. And it is horrifying that lives and heads were lost over the same type of rabble rousing in Afghanistan recently. Thankfully we are more sophisticated and wise in the choices we make electing our representatives–instead of blood they cost us money. I wonder if the dead are having fun in Paradise now………..

  5. Someone please tell me what the HELL’s wrong with all the people that run this country!!!!!!

We’re “broke” & can’t help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless etc.,??????????

In the last months we have provided aid to Haiti, Chile, and Turkey.. And now Pakistan …… home of bin Laden. Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!

Our retired seniors living on a ‘fixed income’ receive no aid nor do they get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour Hundreds of Billions of $$$$$$’s and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries!

We have hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans.

AMERICA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed hungry, elderly going without ‘needed’ meds, and mentally ill without treatment -etc,etc.

    YET…………………
They have a ‘Benefit’ for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations, ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents, clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies.

Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave ‘US’ the same support they give to other countries..

    Sad isn’t it?

99% of people won’t have the guts to say this.
    I’m one of the 1% — I Just Did

  6. This is the greatest gig going for “police.”

Anytime a “policing agency” feels the need to incorporate their presence they can present the city in question with the Bill.

Awesome, that’s a great way to ensure your need.

Why not let the people angry with each other actually enjoy each others company. Ahhh that’s right the ability to intellectually converse went out in the 1970’s when Universities subscribed to the “loudest voice wins” mantra.

    1. True. Why did they call in the police anyway? Or did the cops call themselves in?

In Orange County people are perfectly capable of protesting at a public meeting without violence. If anything, a “strong” police presence only escalates tension.

      1. You make a good point.

However, inflammatory or not the cops don’t work for free as we all know.

FYI – my source informs me that the City Council of sleepy little VP was absolutely petrified so they probably demanded a sheriff contingent.

  7. No, that’s a self-description of yourself.

Nice talk. Lear that at Pedley High Continuation School?

  8. @ James Vegas

Don’t forget all that free food Mango has mooched off of Heroes over the years. That’s an accomplishment. Sort of.

  9. This site is the Seinfeld show of blogging. Just like the TV show, this site is absolutely about nothing.

  10. It was a hit but now it’s nothing more then
re-runs. Much like the topics and reposts of the same old shit that gets posted here.

We haven’t seen Tony getting beat up by old men or intimidated by some Chippies. Repost some of that, rather then the Doc. Spice it up.

Aren’t we over due for a silly ass lawsuit too. Are the writers for this silly site all stoned out of the mind 24/7? Sober up and write something worth while.

    1. If you don’t like it quit coming back – year after year. If it’s so bad then you must be a real loser for coming back.

  11. The point of the blog is to get people to read and to post comments. By definition, the guy bitching in incessantly and posting about how the blog blows and every one reading the site is an idiot has made it the most read blog in orange county.

I’d say mission accomplished. Notice on the site no one reads there are never people that feel the need to post that the site sucks and no one reads it.

By the way, wasn’t Seinfeld the most successful sitcom ever?

    1. Oops. Here I am again emergent from compton’s pocket just to see what his latest nonsense is.

    1. Not so fast- the ANSWER LA kiddos have a rep for being radical but not actually violent. OC Sheriff were called in by the City mostly because of the San Pedro man who was arrested for making death threats against Pauly just days before the rally. Though I am sure they knew about ANSWER LA’s planned presence, I do think that since Pauly has been accused of making death threats, there just *might* have been a fear for her life, regardless of which groups were there. Most protests have a city police presence, and, um, Villa Park does not have its own police department.

    2. You seem to confusing two separate incidents. Answer LA showed up at Villa Park City Hall. If Pauly keeps her yap shut there is no need for them to travel to OC.

Here’s the bottom line: she though she could score some cheap points with the wackos. And she did. She should pay the bill for OCSD.

P.S. For those who think Pauly is so smart I suggest you not confuse low cunning with intelligence.
