UPDATE: Stop the presses. It seems as if I were a tad premature in my post. According to the OC Register, the judge gave the DA the right to come after a specific request is made by the Fullerton City Council:
The judge said the D.A.’s motion is a tad premature because with the City Council meeting tonight, there’s no way to know what the panel is going to ask for. Prosecutors asked for, and the judge granted, permission to renew their request, based on what develops.
This one’s not over yet. Top Secret Tony will be back.
The judge hearing the request said no. This seems to indicate that the releasing the audio would not impair any cases the DA is pursuing. Why Rackauckas ever wanted to keep it under wraps remains a mystery. Maybe somebody in Fullerton asked him to.
More information with details as we get it. Meantime, this item has been agendized for discussion at tonight’s special council meeting, so there should be some interesting councilmanic conversation.

My guess is that once the Council approves it that the judge comes back and sides with the DA and refuses to release the call. Hope I’m wrong here. But my eyes have seen too much. Don’t see any rationale to keep it secret if the caller’s identity is already public and Gennaco’s report already spilled some of the beans. But never underestimate the power of those in charge. In their legal mumbo-jumbo they will offer reasons that have no rational basis. Look at how they are hiding the Drakodaidis letter.

Sounds like she was having a conversation with someone while waiting for the dispatcher to answer as though trying to justify her actions. Reeves, the guy standing security at the Slidebar patio door where the surveillance cam is usually trained, claims she was standing near him when she placed the call. He said he was asking her not to call the police and that “Kelly Thomas was only picking up cigarette butts and would move on in a couple minutes like he always does.” He said she stepped about 5 feet away from him when she called the dispatcher and he heard everything. Now we know where Barnett got that silly hatchet information.

What a scene to watch last night. Gangsters mixed with the army causing chaos. What a difference between a white man’s death and a mexican’s death. They destroyed some hard earned businesses and lost respect with so many citizens. A least Kelly’s protests had a goal and remained somewhat respectful. This Anaheim cause lost everything in one night. A disgrace. The only thing it did was make cops a ton of overtime and cost business owners thousands.

I think it hurt the FPD community confidence more than helped the defense. If it is so benign than why not release it. It shows how corruption and deception is innate to the Fullerton Police Department, which is exactly what everyone has been vocally upset about for over a year.

What are you talking about the dispatcher kept asking the caller if the Auto Burglary suspect who sometimes is armed with an axe was “Dean Kelly”. If you knew your local bums you would know who “Dean Kelly” is. “Dean Kelly” is not Kelly Thomas, Same smell different name.
Ron Thomas would not know the difference because he had not seen Kelly in 10 years and could not pick Kelly’s photo out of a line up even if it meant winning millions of dollars to do so.

“Coached” in this case is synonymous with being told how to get an aggressive response from the FPD to get rid of transients in front of their businesses.
A) Do you honestly think that the bar manager actually saw Kelly Thomas last year wondering around with a hatchet last year and didn’t call the police?
B) The Slidebar Cafe has valet parking service in this parking area that is manned by a valet service. Don’t you think if someone were looking to break into cars, that they would’ve chosen a spot where people aren’t running in between cars to park and retrieve cars?
C) The waiting area for the buses is next to the Slidebar. Buses and their passengers are always driving in and out of this area with lots of people that could be potential witnesses.
D) When the call was made it was still light out. Not exactly the time that people break into cars in a highly populated town square now is it?

Well we pace through parking lots in between cars like we are on an obstacle course just to get to the front doors of a grocery store on a busy night, nothing illegal about that, i guess you have to move a lot faster in DTF near a holiday to avoid all the drunk drivers pulling in or leaving or trying to park thier cars especially if slidwbar offered no “sober” valets to shuttle cars that night of the 5th Was Demarco in the bar as has been allged by Reeves when she made the call or was she at her car when the “Christlike” figure of KT approached her? Was she just arriving to work? What hours was she scheduled to work that night? I would think a bar mngr. main concern would be directed to the goings on in the bar? and if she was in the bar how the heck did she “catch” KT pulling on door handles? at the bus station, at the train station anywhere besides inside the bar or immediatly in front of the bar, but Reeve would have noticed that also and he said it never happened. Lets check the film and match it to her story if she comes from outside or is seen outside when the call is made then it would be plauseible that she could have witnessed what she perceived to be KT pulling on handles or was he just steadying himself while bending down between cars to pick up cigg. butts, We think fsr more likely scenario since most car alarms go “OFF’ when door handles are lifted and no one mentioned that that ever ocurred. How long has deMarco been employed by slidebar, must be for a while if she new KT roamed the DTF area with a HATCHET, no less, really!? several years ago That would have made her how old several yeaRS ago, how old was she when she began her employ with slidebar….thats just off the top of my head, lawyers and the feds are trained to get at the truth, Emil and I bet they have all kinds of questions for Miss deMarco
