  1. In the past the election mailers, like the pied piper led Fullerton to elect these 3 individuals over and over. I simply cannot wait for election season. The mailbox will be so much fun to open. Wednesday kicks off the season.

  2. McMillion’s smiling and laughing all the way to the back. I would too if the tax payers were paying me $219,000 per year.

Bankhead’s smiling cause he just had pudding.

HeeHaw’s smilin’ cause he’s having fried chicken for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day during the entire month of October.

I was at Smart & Final several weeks ago where Tony Bushala was sitting at a card table soliciting signatures for the recall. I greeted him, shook his hand, and told him I thought he was full of s**t, and that what he was doing to our City was BS.

I offered that his only interest in this tragedy is to get control of the City Council so he can foist development projects that may be of questionable value. Whereupon he lost it and went berserk, which he is wont to do when one disagrees with him.

My expletives were not meant to insult him (I’m sure that would be hard to do), I used language I knew he could understand and that described his condition and the content of his actions.

There was no one outside Joe Florentine’s restaurant soliciting signatures, and no one who came outside and spit on anyone. If that had been the case why wouldn’t they have called the Fullerton P.D., identified the person and had them arrested for assault?

The whole story is another Bushala-inspired fabrication meant to discredit someone he doesn’t like.

By the way Florentines’ has a delicious new value added menu with large portions and a family friendly atmosphere. Try it. You’ll like it.

    1. I ate at Florentine’s once many years ago. I prefer my Italian food to actually resemble food from Italy. However I can understand why geriatrics and those with serious tongue injuries might find it palatable.

Now that we have finished with your shameless self-promotion and the rebuttal it deserves, I would like you, or somebody, to actually explain to us which development projects Tony is behind and wants his own pet City Council to approve. Just a basic description of the projects and how he would benefit would be a good start. I ask this because Tony and this blog are very clearly opposed to redevelopment in all of its forms.

Therefore I submit to you that no such plans to profit from a new City Council exist. But if they do, please explain them to us in detail. hopefully using some kind of factual evidence as the basis.

I would further submit that the reason for Tony’s anger against the current City Council has a lot more to do with their venal corruption, stunning incompetence, and the fact that they have created what we all now recognize is an out-of-control police department that does more to abuse the public than it does to serve and protect them, then it does with any profit motive.

This blog is about shining a light. If you have evidence to back up any assertions you make, let’s hear it.

      1. Even if what you were saying were true Joe, I could hardly blame Tony for being infuriated by an assertion of exploiting the taxpayers for one’s personal benefit when Florentine’s is the ultimate symbol of that phenomenon in Fullerton. That Winnebago looking outcropping perched conspicuously on the SIDEWALK that you call a patio is hard to top as an example of a business successfully foisting their will onto the backs of the community. Hypocrisy of your ilk can be somewhat irritating.

    2. Isn’t this the same guy that steers all of the waste disposal business here in Fullerton to one of his family member’s on the QT?
Sounds to me like Tony Florentine is outraged at Tony Bushala because whichever candidate unseats the three stooges that Tony Florentine helped foist on us in the last election, just might start looking into a few of these “buddy” deals that he’s been making with his cronies on the Fullerton City Council for years.
I have not and never will set foot in any one of Tony Florentine’s restaurant here in downtown Fullerton just because I think the owner is morally suspect self-serving pig that won’t be happy till he sucks the citizens of Fullerton dry.

    3. somewhere in time, the melody inn that sat on the corner of harbor and commonwealth was bought and remodeled into an upscale bistro, actually it looked more like a remodeled bathroom oozing tile, the bistro was bad and it lost money. then it mysteriously burned down, if i remember correctly

  4. What did all that mean? Smart & Final? No one outside Joe Florentine’s restaurant? No one came outside and spit?
    Quit it!

    1. Agree. I’m trying to be objective but I can not figure out what this guy is saying. Is this the actual letter from the observer?

  5. Fullerton observer, , you sound like a nutcase…..(or you’re very old and have scattered thoughts)your post doesn’t make sense (I had to read it 2 or 3 times to try and figure what you were taking about).

BTW…. You just did more harm to not having anybody want to go to that restaurant. I’m sure people will want to stay away from Florentine’s, , to avoid people like you.

  6. I went inside Florentine’s one night with my kids and noticed it smelled like throw up, so we turned around and walked right out.

Other than a city councilman getting a free meal, who in their right mind would eat anything there, not me.

  7. Okay all you Friends. Stay on thread message.

I am doing a sweet little greeting card for Mr. Florentine that I will reach out and touch him with later today.

  8. I’ve got to tell you Fullerton Observer, you seem about as ‘twisted’, illogical and ‘brain damaged’ as the Fullerton Police and their three councilman goofs.

  9. Reply to #7:
In most cities, including Fullerton, the multi year waste disposal contract is a political plum and always attached to that plum are regular political contributions for RE-election to members of city council who vote for the contract. You can tell how dirty a contract is by the length of the term as they do NOT want future city councils to merely dump them based on politics and there are lots of wording to prevent dumping the contract based on poor service, etc.
So in answer to #7, yes city councils want to protect the current contract holders in order to gain political contributions all through the year and especially at election time!

    1. Toxic-to him yes. It is all about perspective. He has his and we have ours. His is obviously warped. The CNN interview was the frosting on the cake.

  10. Well since we have a new thread let me echo what I said in the other one: Let’s make it Big!

John and Ken events are usually choked out in small banquet rooms at hotels, but if any of you were at the tax revolt back in ’08 (sponsored by the owner of the Slidebar btw to fuel the haters) you will understand that this could, and probably will, be pretty big.

Show up. We need to take Fullerton back to the place it was when I moved here and this is a huge opportunity to do just that.

    🙂 Justice for Fullerton 🙂

  11. Random thought: Think the turnout will be noticed acroos the street at the Police Station? You know damned well it will be……

Think I’ll buy some stock in the companmy that sells Depends. This could be the first instance in which the 3 blind mice begin to crap their pants………….

  12. If any of you go on the air tomorrow please mention that we are still protesting every Saturday. That will help keep up the momentum.

    1. thats too funny not to respond to. yeah right, with all that media equipment on, someone will try something like that

      hilarious Bill W.

  13. Having been to more than a few J&K shows in the past I can tell you that this will be totally chill and that there will be other media there. It’s OK to come out Bill, seriously. 😉

…although I am thinking maybe we should take the four corners with signs etc. to provide some background noise. On the fence, but you can bet they will be there filming it for channel 5 lol.
